Shout out to McD for making the call on eliminating the Denver Kick Return game. He saw the imbalance on offense and defense, and decided to limit their chances at splash plays. They didn’t need the advantage of catching them at the 10, or hoping for a fumble. I loved this call.

I think that Beane and company already have a number in mind. Winning a Super Bowl this year probably wouldn’t create a 10-15 million dollar swing per year for the next seven years vs if they lose round 1. Your logic seems to make sense if they were playing him for just this season but when you look at it long term, I doubt the front office is going to let this one season’s post season performance drastically change what they believe he is worth (barring some crazy circumstances) IMO.
