  1. Not a chance they are staying at 12
  2. McBeane has done nearly everything to undue what Whaley did in his years here. Hughes is most definitely high on the list to go soon. If he’s needed to complete a trade up into the top three, so be it.
  3. Considering neither of them did anything in their years here, I’d say McBeane has easily surpassed both of them already. It’s not even close. Best part of this trade besides now we know they will trade up higher to get their q.b is we no longer have to listen to all the geniuses who in the last few days all were saying how Glenn will stay and play RT. They are all amazingly quiet after this trade. Shocker.
  4. Polian BUILT the Bills super bowl teams. It wasn’t all just the draft. To totally judge a GMs effectiveness, you can’t just look at the draft you must also look at his free agent signings and trades. Tasker was a great FA signing and the Bennett trade in 1987 is considered one of the best in NFL history. Seems like people want to jump on the bandwagon of dumping on Polian lately. Makes NO sense. He’s in the HOF for a reason. He built the Bills, Panthers and Colts. The Bills haven’t had a good GM since Polian left. No reason to be down on him. ALL GMs have misses in the draft. Polian built a great franchise here.
  5. We will find out everything we need to know about McBeane and their TRUE philosophy about the future of this franchise by what happens on draft day. Do they trade up for a franchise qb or settle on defensive players. I wouldn’t hold my breath on them trading way up for a qb. Would love to be wrong.
  6. I think Elway convinces Cousins to come to Denver much like he did with Peyton Manning. I think the “aura” of Elway will carry a lot of weight in these discussions. Minnesota would be my back up prediction.
  7. He was the 1983 Buffalo News WNY player of the year. I played against him in high school. Fond memory, he had gotten through the line and was about 7-10 yards downfield and I chased him down from behind. He looked up at me after with this look like he couldn’t believe it.
  8. Unless I missed it, none of the cap space numbers supplied by the OP included all the millions in dead cap space that will be assessed with all these moves. So if so, in reality none of these numbers apply to what our actual cap situation would look like. I’m all for clearing out most of these names listed, I just don’t think it will supply us with nearly as much cap space as stated.
  9. It was the Bills only way to seem relevant over the drought years. They couldn’t do it on the field so they tried to make up for it during the draft or free agency occasionally.
  10. My guess would be it was the birth of his son plus the complications with his neck that led him to the decision to retire now. Having a child puts the risk of having major injury, especially at his age perhaps into better perspective and he concluded further playing isn’t worth it.
  11. Looks like another 6 mil of dead cap space for 2018? If so, this team has lots of dead cap allocated for next season and could add more with a possible trade/release of Tyrod and/or Glenn. Looks like 2019 will be the earliest we will have significant relief from dead cap.
  12. That accusation of Bledsoe was also over 25 years ago. People tend to mature as they age and not be as douchebaggery as their younger versions. So by the time you met him, I would imagine he was a different person.
  13. Lol don’t hold you breath on that one. Apparently plenty here are based off the comments.
  14. Lol all these people saying they won’t watch the super bowl. Yes you will. What the heck did you think was going to happen today? You’re shocked the Pats lost this?? You’re shocked they got the calls? Get real. Jesus
  15. F Jon Bon Jovi. He was full of crap then and still is. Glad he didn’t get anywhere near this team.
  16. The rant was either the day before or day of their Wild Card game vs KC. I’m sure you can find it on YouTube if you care to. I doubt his rant to the Buffalo media in 2005 is anywhere on YouTube though. But I saw them both and they were very similar.
  17. Nope not confused. I watched Mukarkeys press conference in Buffalo back then and his rant a few weeks ago. Very very similar.
  18. It was just beyond bizarre that 12-13 years later he was using the exact same excuse as to why he was so angry and unhappy coaching. He used his family’s unhappiness with stress in the community as his main reason in his rants.
  19. THIS is why he’s gone. And You could see it coming after he said all this. He used the EXACT same language and complaints in that rant as he did with the Buffalo media when he quit in 2005. He complained then about how it was all too tough on his family. His kids were picked on in school all that stuff. History is just repeating itself. Doubt he will ever be a head coach again.
  20. I agree they are spoiled and also entitled. As are Pats fans. Winning year after year or in the Steelers case, decade after decade will have that effect on a fan base. Right or wrong.
  21. He’s been doing it his whole career.
  22. Gotta have the QB to make those kind of throws. By far the biggest thing McDermott and Beane need to realize.
  23. Isn’t it refreshing to see a qb that will actually throw it to a receiver 1 on 1 and trust the receiver to make a play? Hope we see that with Buffalos offense starting next season. It’s been a long time.
  24. Exactly. Hilarious how people are spewing on Tomlin and Big Ben today considering the crap franchise we’ve had to endure for the past 17 seasons. This franchise hasn’t seen a good head coach or qb during this time.
  25. Lol he’s a first ballot hall of famer.
