Not just because he's a Buffalo native, I think NBC lost so much when he passed away. Just finished reading Big Russ and Me again. Good way to remember the man.

Funny Buffalo Bills Shirts
buffaloaggie replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good luck to him. They may want to work on the pics. I know they're trying to be different in their presentation, but it's kind of tough to see what the T-shirts really look like. -
Who Out Of The 2009 Draft Will Be The Biggest Busts?
buffaloaggie replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good point about the conferences, but the Big 12 was well known for porous defenses this past season. Yes, Freeman has the size and mobility that the NFL loves, but I can't help but notice his poor performances against Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska late in the season. He put up some gaudy numbers against OU, but it was in a game that KSU got blown out in. I'm not going to put any money down that Freeman will be a bust, I'm just stating an opinion and putting a little reasoning behind it. -
Who Out Of The 2009 Draft Will Be The Biggest Busts?
buffaloaggie replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Walking out on the combine, emotional immaturity, the dumb decision to have contact with an agent and getting suspended from the team for the bowl game against Utah. Dominating in college and performing well in the pros are two different things. Look at our old buddy, Mike Williams. I just think that too many red flags were raised on Smith, despite the endorsements from his college coach. Just enough for me to think he's going to be a bust. -
Who Out Of The 2009 Draft Will Be The Biggest Busts?
buffaloaggie replied to Steely Dan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Andre Smith for the obvious reasons in the top 16. Josh Freeman in the bottom 16. See if this sounds familiar...a mobile QB in college with a rocket arm whose team had a mediocre, at best, record. Very inconsistent in college. -

Question for those familiar with the Atlanta area
buffaloaggie replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
The Gwinnett ballpark is right off of Highway (not Interstate) 20 and Interstate 85. You're better off getting a hotel right around the ballpark, then driving to Stone Mountain via the Interstate and Highway 78. Staying by the ballpark, you're also right around the Mall of Georgia, so there's much more to do around there. It's also easier to get to Atlanta and Turner field from Gwinnett since you'd be right on the Interstate. Stone Mountain is a ways east of Atlanta, and not really in between the Gwinnett ballpark and ATL. Hope this helps. -
Not exactly, but Gary Anderson sticks in my mind as a major screwup release too soon. Who'd have thought he'd do what he did after missing every FG in preseason.

I have done this before. There is a separate number that you were able to call to get their team that handles customers thinking of leaving. I wish that I still had the number from a few years back. I'd negotiate for at least the DVR if you don't have it. I have heard from friends that they got either Sunday Ticket, Super Fan or Center Ice.

Whatever happened to Pee Wee Herman? -
Maybe she has some insight on running hockey teams. Good for Tommy Boy!

This was from a Kentucky sports website concerning Jarmon: If teams look at him as sort of "damged goods" because of his misstep, he'll probably go anywhere from a fifth to a seventh round supplemental pick as mentioned previously. Here's the full story: http://kentucky.scout.com/2/870858.html

Irv Weinstein's grandson found dead

Similar tragedy happened to Mario Danelo, USC's kicker a few years ago. Truly sad. Condolences to their family and friends. -
Danny Boy's house is for sale
buffaloaggie replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bought the place for 8.8 mil in 2005 and hoping to sell for 23.75 mil in 2009? Has anyone told Aby the days of flipping homes are pretty much over? It looks really nice, but I would figure back when it was 8.8 mil, it was nice. I can't imagine what the upkeep for Marino's place would be. -
I guess the Bills need a little Justise on their side. (That's bad, I know) He's also on facebook, if you want to add him as a friend!

Far-left Thought Police are at it again!

OK, it's obvious he's dumb. He defends his actions by saying he didn't use his school district supplied computer but he's sending the emails to fellow school board members, essentially his co-workers. BRILLIANT! -

for draft insights, fantasyinsights.com is fairly good. fftoolbox.com gives good info on average draft position. -
Which Fantasy Football Website is the best?

CBS Sportsline is the best in my opinion, but it is $149 to use it. -
It is a huge gamble on his part. Something similar to what Kawika Mitchell did when he signed with the Giants. Worked out for him.

Absolutely correct. Reality sucks, but Pisa speaks the truth about the Bills not being a winning team. I don't understand his problem with being annointed a starter, but if he turned out to be not all that, he'd be on the bench just as quickly as he proved himself to be an @$$. Sure was nice of him to consider Ellison's feelings though.

Can someone explain the discrepency between the $124 mil salary figure on the FO website and the numbers posted on the BillsZone salary cap page? I can see that the BillsZone page is listed as 2009, so I'm not sure where the 2008 figures are. Still, the BillsZone numbers seem to paint a much better picture as far as cap room goes. http://www.billszone.com/mtlog/archives/20...ry_cap_page.php Whose numbers are accurate? They don't seem to say the same thing. Someone's capologists are a bit off with their figures. If someone has a good understanding, I'd appreciate the enlightenment.

Another American Patriot Arrested
buffaloaggie replied to AlaskaDarin_Has_AIDS's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Like it doesn't happen on both sides. Yes, it's reprehensible. No one should try to justify or dismiss it just because no known harm resulted. Most know the potential harm and people who don't, I feel sorry for you. I find it hard to believe that people can't disseminate the right and wrong of making public threats against individuals, justifying it by hiding behind the guise of "freedom of speech". -
http://www.buffalonews.com/cityregion/onta...ory/510815.html This article gives the 15-20% estimate also. My experience in talking to Canadians at Bills or Sabres games is that most are there for the experience and do not have a strong rooting interest for the Bills. A few that I know are huge Dolphins fans, so take that for the limited sample of Canadian fans. All I know is listening to the audio from the Bills game at Rogers Centre, it was pretty quiet. I guess most need time to warm up to the Bills.
