  1. How old are you? 2? Calling people pom pom girls? You can do better than that. It's hard to judge Burgess also. Injuries and playing for a bad team have hampered his production. It is a stretch equating him to Kelsay, though.
  2. To be honest, I think Bills fans will have to make that call after we see Schobel back this year.
  3. Many great movies thanks to John Hughes. Sad news to hear.
  4. Undisclosed draft choices? The Raiders were only looking for a third and fourth according to Yahoo! Sports. Seems like a small price to pay.
  5. Our defense is complete! Maybe he can give the Bills a little insight to the Titans. The Bills should pick up one guy cut from every opponent this year!
  6. That's what's been sticking with me. Nobody cared about this guy. It's like he went through life totally unnoticed. Co-workers, family, friends, no one read his blog. Would have raised a red flag if anyone did.
  7. Jackson is a no nonsense runner and runs where the play is designed to run. Lynch wants to hit a home run every time by dancing around waiting for the perfect hole to run through, kind of like our castoff, McGahee. I don't think there is any RB in the NFL that gets more yards with tacklers draped all over him than Lynch. Still, Jackson has shown some of that ability too. We're pretty lucky to have them both.
  8. We shouldn't give him away. He may be unhappy, but if we don't get a good draft pick in return (3rd round), why should we degrade our special teams? A little receiving depth is not a bad thing. I think he'll get over his being unhappy. An improved offense this year will mean more balls to go around. He does need to face reality though that he's not all that as a receiver.
  9. Do I detect a man crush? I can appreciate us getting hostages out for really doing very little. I just hope it doesn't "legitimize" terrorists or rogue governments expecting to meet with high-level officials every time they capture/kidnap an American to win their freedom. All in all, this was a small price to pay for the reporters' freedom and this is coming from a Republican.
  10. He flew to North Korea, posed for pics and boarded a plane with the two chicks that he thought were in Austin Powers/Goldmember.
  11. Might want to include John Harbaugh Definitely post your article. We'd all like to hear what he has to say.
  12. A great point. In small towns, it is the thing to do on a Friday or Saturday night.
  13. I'd ask him about the Jets QB situation and how far away he thinks Mark Sanchez is from starting. And, as a side note, whether he's pick one off of him in practice.
  14. With the Mayor and others speaking out publicly, I think Burress is going to be used as an example. I would have rather have seen Stallworth used as an example, but athletes need to be shown that they're nothing special. Still 3 1/2 to 15 years is pretty harsh for this, compared to Vick and Stallworth. It's a shame, because he was doing the right thing with Pierce.
  15. Can someone call a preacher? Or Tony Robbins?
  16. Reading the article, I don't see Walker complaining, to be honest. Here's a quote from the O-line coach: He mentioned being challenged, being the best man on the roster for the job, and that there was nothing he could do about the situation. If I was to paraphrase Walker, it'd be "I'm not promising I'll be an all-pro, but I'll take on the job and do my best because the team asked me to make the switch from my normal position."
  17. Was his name Plaxico Burress?
  18. Only looks like the end zone seats for the enshrinement are offered at a discount. I waited and got the floor seats about a month or so ago. I think the football game ticket prices are the same. I didn't see discounted game tickets.
  19. Google Rocks!!! http://www.usatoday.com/sports/football/dr...tra-focus_N.htm
  20. Looking forward to seeing that. Thanks for the post!
  21. If you'd do some research on Hangartner, you'd see that he was an asset to the Panthers. They had the luxury of having Ryan Kalil at Center and Hangartner to back him up. Here is a quote from an article about Hangartner leaving for Buffalo: I'm sure that was posted when we first signed him on a thread, but apparently you like to put labels on players, so I had to post it again. I think we can consider Hangartner is a proven commodity. As far as Wood and Levitre go, you're absolutely right, we have no idea how they'll perform. They have potential, and that's all you can say about them until the games begin.
  22. or concentration. That would explain drops as well as missed routes. Maybe he's a little ADD. At this point, I think both he and the Bills would be better off with a trade. The Bills have not used him much. It may be for good reason, but he'd have a chance to prove the Bills wrong after going to another team.
  23. I just read the same article...pretty weird and amazing. Research done at the University of Rochester.
  24. People make predictions all the time, based on some criteria, so why should this be scoffed at? Have you ever made a prediction? What do you base it on? There's got to be some basis. I could look at each game based on gut feel, and I'd probably still come up with 8-8 or the dreaded 7-9. Yes I'll agree that preseason predictions are pretty useless, but it's all in fun. Even power rankings four weeks into the season are pretty useless considering last year.
  25. Of teams on the Bills schedule, five are currently below them, including the Jets who they play twice, of course. Saints at 19, Texans at 16, Dolphins at 15, are a few spots ahead. Translates to 8-8, maybe, if you give the Bills a few home wins. I hope the OL Coach is a miracle worker.
