  1. A little more info on the Eagles wanting Runyan back... Link to Full Article Quote from the article:
  2. Seems like the Bills are selling their soul, if these rumors are true. I have to agree with you also about the possibility. On the brightside, the PETA folks will be filling up hotel rooms in Buffalo if the signing happens. Buffalo will be a media circus, if it wasn't already with T.O.
  3. I'll watch it again to see his one tackle. Most of the time I saw him get neutralized on his speedy pass rush. He really had Kerry Collins panicking.
  4. It is what it is, a one year contract. The Bills did not want to commit to more (I guess that was their choice), so I have no problem with him saying it. If he starts taking plays off and disrupting things on the team, you have a reason to complain. The way he words things...you have nothing to complain about and it's your problem that you choose to interpret his words as he's done with Buffalo after this year. We're all taking the attitude that a leopard can't change its spots. This is the first team that there won't be a QB in stature like McNabb, Romo or Garcia for that matter, so things could be different, and egos won't collide. We know his history. Let's enjoy this first good year, and see what the future holds.
  5. His talent is undeniable. It's nice to see that the other players do have interaction with him. What I saw from T.O. at the game was that he was the last one out of the locker room and did not come out with the receiving unit and was the only one without his helmet on coming out with the team to midfield. People would likely get the impression that he isn't a team player since he had to always be different. Personally, I have no problem with what he does, as long as he performs and doesn't bark at teammates unmercifully. I think we all were hoping that he'd be a mentor to teammates, since only he and Lindell are in double figures in NFL experience. This is a young team and could use some guidance. For now, we just have to hope it'll be good guidance that T.O. provides. Good to hear this type of news.
  6. This is exactly what we need. It's frustrating sorting through various websites/bulletin boards to get the true info vs. speculation. Hopefully, you can get the scoop. Thanks for stepping up for us!
  7. And Mort will have the scoop when the Titans cut him. Thanks, Mort!
  8. Terry McAulay and I think the 1999 Stanley Cup officiating crew. I'm not bitter though! Fisher should have saved it for the regular season. It was a great play. I'm sure they'll have some other options designed for that play. Let's hope Bobby April learned something from it. Face it, the master got schooled on Sunday.
  9. Levitre didn't do anything to make me think he's anything special, but it was only his first game, so time will tell. I hope the offense is holding back the deep throws. Once again, we do nothing but little dump offs, short outs, and short passes across the middle. The only deep balls resulted in an interception and an incomplete pass to Justin Jenkins who turned his head WAY too late. Jenkins and Bruce Hall look like candidates for visits from the Turk. Felton looked good. Schobel has a ways to come back. He looked incredibly slow. Our rush is non-existent. Our LB corps was totally confused by the Titans misdirection plays, and if they can't cover Alge Crumpler, they're not going to be able to cover anyone. The pass defense really looked bad, IMO. Run defense was spotty. For a guy that was 11 of 13, Hamdan had a very quiet performance. Fitzpatrick did not look as bad as most are saying. I feel a little better about him, but not much. Edwards played well except for the interception. He seemed to have a good sense of the pocket, again with the exception of the overthrow and pick. While preseason doesn't mean squat, the Bills showed little to encourage me that they can even be a .500 team in this game. We'll see what they look like against da Bears.
  10. I can believe it's at four pages. Billistic has to reply to EVERY post there is. Just ignore him.
  11. There's the white throwback that I'm getting.
  12. What's more overrated? Notre Dame's football program or Dale Earnhardt Jr's driving I'm sure there are plenty of overrated examples out there... Dick Jauron's coaching ability J.P. Losman's potential as an NFL QB
  13. I'd say Brady broke out his 2nd season when he won the Super Bowl in 2001. He passed for over 4000 yards in 2005, but yes, his year with Moss in 2007 is unparalleled. What's missing in your comparison with the Owens effect is the O-line's effectiveness. The Bills success will always come back to that offensive line question mark this year. We can hope a little magic happens between T.O. and Trent. At the skill positions, we can match just about any NFL team, except for a still unproven QB.
  14. and he was the 2nd leading rusher on the Bengals last year. That may help him with the Bills this year.
  15. and it couldn't have happened to a more deserving team...or fan base for that matter. They rival the Cowboys and Dol-fans now as the worst fans, though I think it's the timing of the rise of the Red Sox and Celtics that make the Patriots fan base bad. Wish Buffalo had that problem with the Sabres and Bills.
  16. I hope some other team makes a head-scratcher release of a QB during the preseason. I am not feeling too good about going into the season with our backup situation. If Hamden can show a little of the talent he showed in NFL Europa, I'd feel a little better. Fitzpatrick sounds like a complete trainwreck from everyone's camp observations. I pray that this offensive line comes together. I don't want to see a repeat of last year's Arizona game this year.
  17. I thought I'd be escaping the heat in Atlanta. Glad the induction and game are in the evenings.
  18. Would love to blame it on the pass rush, so we'll give them some slack. Your point about practicing against top quality WRs is valid. I think T.O. really will pick up the energy of this team on offense and defense. I hope Youboty can pick up where he was before the injury last year. He's the one I'll be watching the most this year. Nice McCoverage label. Can you take credit for it?
  19. Patsies have quite a pipeline coming in from Oakland...Moss, Walter and Burgess. Kind of ironic that arguably the best team in the league feeds off of the worst, but it shows how senile Al Davis has become.
  20. So very true. My bad.
  21. Jones and Plant wrote almost all the songs on In Through The Out Door, a favorite Led Zep album of mine. I'm glad he has hooked up with these guys.
  22. Wow, it's like looking in a mirror. If we only had an established O Line and a QB with three SB rings. Dare to dream.
  23. It'll give the Bills a reasonable number now. McKelvin got 5 years, $19.4M as the #11 pick. Harvey at #8 is the closest DE and he got 5 years, $23.8M last year. Maybe the number is $20M. Running Backs tend to get a little more than most, except QBs of course. Jonathan Stewart got 5 years, $20M as the #13 pick last year.
  24. If they allow in and out privileges, we could go tailgate some more... or at least it'll allow us time to hit the bathroom from the early tailgating!
