  1. Edit: (Take 2) Tennessee v St. Louis SB
  2. As most are saying, Anchor Bar is a tourist trap. Duff's is a great place as is Gabriel's Gate. Otto's on Union in Cheektowaga is another place I've gotten good wings.
  3. I gotta go with Peart and Bonham, but I'm surprised no one has mentioned Travis Barker.
  4. Unreal what they make into reality TV on TLC. I watched part of one episode of this and was bored out of my mind. Kate looks like a bi**h but really couldn't appreciate the depth of her bi**hiness from the little that I watched. I guess the new name of the show will be Jon and Kate Separate After seeing the previews for American Loggers on Discovery, I can't wait for them to come up with their next reality show, maybe about Porta-Potty Cleaners. Actually, I think that they may have it covered in the show Dirty Jobs.
  5. University of Texas players are not mentally tough, not hard workers and/or they're underachievers, so hearing this about Roy Williams doesn't surprise me. Here's a list of Texas high-profile underachievers: Roy E. Williams Ricky Williams Mike Williams Vince Young Derrick Dockery (not as bad as the others, just overpaid by the Bills) Cedric Benson just to name a few. We'll see whether Orakpo pans out.
  6. Hopefully, it will be Toronto vs. Calgary. Vancouver is kind of boring to watch. Boston vs. Washington will be a great matchup! BTW, I really am looking forward to catching a Bills game at the "Frank" this year. Way to do your homework, Cal-Gary Herald!
  7. TKO did have a good game that day with a couple of INT's. If our D is bolstered by the addition of Maybin and the return of Schoebel, we can get some pressure on Brady. His timing may be off in his first game back. Plus, it wouldn't hurt to have guys hitting him to make him think about his knee injury last year. Blitz, Blitz, Blitz. I say we employ the same style D that we used against the Cowboys and Romo a couple of years ago.
  8. I'm so glad he got fired as Stars GM, and I keep telling myself I am still not bitter
  9. Pimpin' Ken and Meth lab kit sold separately
  10. More gems: Elaine Dickinson: There's no reason to become alarmed, and we hope you'll enjoy the rest of your flight. By the way, is there anyone on board who knows how to fly a plane? Rumack: Can you fly this plane, and land it? Ted Striker: Surely you can't be serious. Rumack: I am serious... and don't call me Shirley.
  11. now that's funny i don't care who you are
  12. is a court-ordered vasectomy in line here?
  13. He's already been through tryouts with the Bears and Chiefs. Hopefully, he'll prove something to the Bills that he didn't to them.
  14. Exactly...a player with no desire to play will always be a bust, no matter how good of shape he's in. Texas lineman and the Bills just don't seem to mix (see D.Dockery also)
  15. Atlanta should be a powerhouse. They have all the pieces in place on Offense. Just don't draft their Defense. Turner is 1st round material, and Matt Ryan and Roddy White will both be taken in the first six rounds, along with Gonzalez. The question with them is keeping those players all happy.
  16. In 2006, Jeff Garcia led the Eagles to a 5-1 record as a starter with his only loss coming at Indy, while McNabb was 5-5 as a starter. Garcia saved the Eagles season that year. In 2007, Garcia played in 13 games. The Bucs had an 8-5 record with Garcia, while Luke McCown was 1-2. To me, he's been a pretty good QB. Better than what we've had, but that really isn't saying much. As far as this thread goes, I can see everyone's point about we still haven't started this season. Let's see how T.O. does THIS season before we break open the bank.
  17. Garcia only led both the Eagles and the Bucs to playoff berths. That was without Rice and T.O. Granted, having a Jerry Rice and/or T.O. on a team definitely helps.
  18. I'd be surprised if T.O. would re-sign with the Bills, just because I don't think the F.O. will pony up for a much bigger contract. More than likely, he'll get only one year offers from any NFL team in the future. It seems to be the only way to get him to behave. Plus, who knows how many years are left in a 36 year old WR?
  19. Didn't see this post...I'd say doubtful. His lack of TD's bothers me, as well as his big games only occur in losses. Sure, teams pass when they're behind, but it seems like Daniels only pads his numbers in garbage time. If Gates has a 100 yard game, the Chargers are usually on the winning end. Witten also. In tight games, the Texans are throwing to Andre Johnson, they're not looking at the 7 million dollar wannabe.
  20. So you're saying Daniels is worth $7 million? Most felt the Bucs were crazy giving Winslow that contract. Makes T.O. look like a bargain. I'd have to rate Witten, Gates and Gonzalez at the top before even considering mentioning Daniels or Winslow, and I'd throw them in with Dallas Clark, Greg Olsen and Chris Cooley. I agree that Houston has a huge problem. Tying that much up with their Receiving corps along with Andre Johnson may cripple them capwise.
  21. 7 mil for a TE? The top TE's are making just over 4 mil, I think. He's not anywhere near that good. I don't think there's any NFL team that would shatter the Tight End pay scale for Owen Daniels.
  22. Here's an early top ten average draft: 1 Adrian Peterson RB MIN 2 Maurice Jones-Drew RB JAX 3 Matt Forte RB CHI 4 Steven Jackson RB STL 5 Chris Johnson RB TEN 6 Michael Turner RB ATL 7 Larry Fitzgerald WR ARI 8 Calvin Johnson WR DET 9 Andre Johnson WR HOU 10 Frank Gore RB SF Obviously, QB's don't count for many points in their draft.
  23. I think MJD is a huge breakthrough pick this year. Now that Fred Taylor's gone, he's going to tear it up. I just hope they don't make Greg Jones their goal line back. MJD is too good to sit down.
