Good call! Really sad we couldn’t figure that out but it’s going to be interesting to see how other teams employ a similar strategy next season.

The NFC teams have better defensive lines than us. I think they give Mahomes trouble. If it’s Chiefs/Rams I think the Rams take it. Hopefully Cincinnati wins and we don’t have to worry about it.

We need to keep Harry and McKenzie. Levi and Neal should return on friendly deals. Goodbye to Hughes, Sanders and Addison. Gotta get younger, tougher and faster.

Every year I tell myself I can’t keep doing this. And every year I keep coming back.

We played them a lot more physical in the first game. Dunno why we went away from that.

Klein does some things better, yes.

Sucked? Look at every teams draft history and tell me we are a bad drafting team. Since 2017 we also drafted (or signed UDFA) Dawkins, Milano, Taron, Singletary, Knox, Neal, Wallace, Edmunds, Oliver and Phillips. And these guys are all NFL starters or in Neal’s case Elite ST players who have shown they can fill in. Edmunds is a polarizing guy but if he doesn’t stay I am certain another team will sign him and plug him in. He may never be elite but we could have also stayed put and selected Rashaan Evans instead. Would that have been better? Building a roster can be done both ways. Look at the Rams. They constantly trade their draft picks for players and sign FAs and it’s working. Beane hasn’t been perfect but he did acquire a lot of good players and we have a good roster. Beane isn’t a Schneider type that seemingly only finds late round gems. Beane likes the athletic freaks and is betting the coaching staff can work with them.

Beane has done a good job. Every GM has his misses. We have a top tier roster. McD gets a lot of credit for shaping the talent and creating a culture but Beane gets credit for a lot of these guys too. Though I do agree if we didn’t get Allen this all looks very different.

Let’s not act like Mahomes outplayed Josh. He didn’t. Josh can go toe to toe with Mahomes and proved it this season. We don’t need a Mahomes injury to win. We do need better situational coaching and a little more luck.

We need game wreckers on the line. We have solid guys there, but outside Oliver who has shown flashes, we don’t have anyone who can just go ***** up anything at any time. We don’t have a Donald, Bosa, Watt, etc. We don’t even have a Clark, Jones or Ingram. It doesn’t necessarily matter when your QB is playing on an Allen/Mahomes level. But it’s pretty clear the remaining playoff teams got there thanks to winning in the trenches.

I’m gonna wait and see what the all 22 film guys say about it because at this point I’m just stunned and confused. Week 5 we had AJ Klein and Siran Neal out there mugging Kelce at the line and this week we had Milano, who is supposed to be able to cover tight ends, just let Kelce take the game from us. Poyer and Hyde absolutely took the wrong angles on the Hill touchdown from what I could see. So even if we take away the deep ball, we let the intermediate routes turn into big plays… I don’t know there is just so much in my head right now. I thought the bills d was the one advantage we had in this game and it just wasn’t.

I love Jerry and he had some really good years for us, but dammit that was like eight years ago. McD seems to always roll with these D linemen that can hold their own but not dominate. Going back to Carolina.

McDermott shouldn’t have punted the second time. We need to be aggressive. We need to score now.
