  1. Reasonable. I just prefer to take a known, reliable matchup week one.
  2. This is why I went Saints. Gotta take the safe pick to start. Go look at the Saints schedule and find me a better time to take them.
  3. I said this in another thread. Not really sure what all this talk up is about. They are always competitive but they aren't an elite team. I do think a lot of this chatter is more about their favorable matchup this week. Feels a bit like that year we opened at Chicago. They went like 5-11 and we got to 9-7. Time will tell. I'm staying hopeful for now.
  4. I understand that the Bills on paper look pretty bad, but I really don't see what's so good about the Ravens that everyone expects this to be a blowout.
  5. I mean to say you can't shake his confidence.
  6. Peterman's confidence is coated in Teflon. Yeah. I think the fact that he played well enough to trade AJ was a victory in and of itself. Gonna be patient and see how things pan out.
  7. I agree. DBs are gonna try to jump those so why not pump and go? I guess the question is can Nate hit the go?
  8. We gotta get a meeting set up with Means from Philly too.
  9. Greg Gabriel says Peterman will be fine.
  10. There seems to be some confusion over who blocks who in Castillo's scheme.
  11. You work with a much smaller field with Nate. But it can't be any worse than last time, right?
  12. Road grading is the only thing our interior line can do. Miller was always a good run blocker as I recall. Maybe he struggled with the new scheme last year but he was solid the year before in the run game.
  13. I doubt we get anybody. However, I do wanna say that I feel the OL has done a pretty good job in the run blocking aspect. Murphy and Ivory have been pretty good behind them. Pass blocking has been atrocious, but I wonder if they choose Nate to start because of his release time. That would mark the pass blocking issues some.
  14. O'Leary did make some plays. I'm sure cutting him wasn't an easy decision. Croom got hurt last camp though if I recall, and Lee was already being utilized as our blocking TE with success. So I see how it all came together here. Maybe O'Leary should have stayed over Thomas but they must believe in Thomas and his measurables.
  15. Deonte Thompson was cut. Wonder if they wanna bring him back?
  16. Where's Chas Reinhold these days?
  17. What's Doug Legursky up to?
  18. A lot of us were down on the Ray Ray pick at the time. Myself included. Thought there were better WR picks there. Glad to see him come out and show us.
  19. He was absolutely talking about other players, not himself. Even if he is bad this year he was brought in to start and they don't really have a choice right now unless Johnson develops fast.
  20. There is virtually no difference between a 7th round pick and a lot of UDFA.
  21. Would you have paid $20 million for Sam Bradford? I wouldn't have. We definitely would have benefited from having a more experienced QB on the roster in terms of NFL games played, but the plan was never about this year. We are saving the $$ for next year. It may hold us back for a season, but the vision extends beyond that.
