  1. 139-91-1. 19 playoff games since 1999. That's 18 more than the Bills. Bring him on.
  2. What part of my post did you think meant I didn't understand his post. I reaffirm my position that this line of thought is incompetent. If I wanted to list the number of performances and throws that prove this "supporting cast theory" wrong, I would spend the next 3 hours writing this post as there is so much evidence. He is missing wide open receivers with no defensive linemen around him in crucial situations. Many quarterbacks would dream of having the running game we do. Even with some of the O-Line down, they are still at least an average line as evidenced by our sack totals and running game. Also what about the Jets game when everybody was healthy? There is a chance he can bounce back to show a bit of his form in early 2011, but to not put fault on Fitz for how he has performed this year is simply a denial of the truth. It's grasping at straws in hope that Fitz hasn;t been a big problem. He has had a great opportunity this year to establish himself as a legit NFL QB and he has failed miserabley. Watch the tape.
  3. Incompetence. Unobservant. Flat out ¨denial¨. Fitz has been bad since he signed his contract which is 15-16 weeks ago (I do not think the contract made him bad but I think it just coincided with his fall off, he is still trying hard). He has shown no consistent signs of being a good QB since then. That is quite some time. I hope to God that he shows the ability to be a mediocre NFL QB for the rest of the year. I hope he can get to a level where he can hit guys that are wide open 5 yards down field 95% of the time because he can´t right now. I hope he connects on the occasional deep ball. If he doesn´t this season is doomed. If he does we have a chance. However, it is clear that over the past 15 weeks he is very low on the NFL QB hierarchy and there is no excuse for this. He cant hit wide open guys. STOP MAKING EXCUSES FOR HIM. You are in total denial of the truth. He has to make some strides or the season is lost.
  4. One line by Chan that concerned me this week: "We didn't treat it like a vacation." He was referring to the team staying out in Arizona. Hey Chan, the fact that treating it like a vacation even crossed your mind is a problem. Do you think you deserve praise for "not treating it like a vacation." No sh** you didn't treat it like a vacation. That shouldn't even be on the table or in anybody's mind. Do you know why? Because it is not a vacation by any stretch! I hope the players in the website pictures sitting around the pitfires (at the hotel in AZ) singing kumbaya didn't treat it like a vacation either, but it sounds like the idea at least crossed the team's mind. If they freaking lay down again today, look out. The 15 year playoff drought combined with a team that doesn't put in high effort is a combination that even Bills Fans (extremely die hard) won't stick around for.
  5. It's pretty much a fact that this team has committed the worst sin in football; played like a bunch of pu****s and did it knowingly. They laid down. They gave up. They didn't want to finish plays and take that extra nick that putting emphasis behind your hits results in. They went through the motions. The evidence is very clear. While I'm glad at least somebody spoke the truth in that locker room and called them out, I don't know if Choice was the right guy to do it. It sounds like he has some locker room respect so maybe it was ok, but why the hell didn't a prominent player on the team do it. We're lacking leadership, character and most-of-all toughness on this team. They better turn this trend around or I seriously think even Buffalo fans (extremely die hard) will stop paying attention.
  6. Some interersting responses. I think there is a lot of credence to the opinions that having a top notch defensive coordinator would change some things. No way in hell if Wade Phillips or Mike Nolan were coaching this defense would you see these record numbers put up by opposing offenses. At the same time if the offense was being operated by Tom Brady or Peyton Manning, I think there is something infectious about that which can translate to the defense (another good point made by some). I have heard multiple retired defensive players speak of how the team loses hope if the QB is incapable. My current opinion is that the defense is just flat soft and Fitz doesn't have anything to do with it.
  7. 1. Lack of toughness 2. Fitzpatrick 1. In an interview on BuffaloBills.com Eric Wood was asked questions about the problems the Bills are having. He fairly clearly stated that he felt the team has gone soft in the 2nd half. Initially, he stated that they "laid down". Prior to this all of what he said backed this up. Because "laid down" is a strong term, a reporter called him out a bit and said "laid down is a loaded term, what do you really mean by that?" At that point Wood backtracked a bit and said he didn't think they quit. Translation of all this: The team quit and has gone soft. Eric even went on to say that there are leaders in all the position rooms and he does not feel it is his place to call out players in positions other than O-Line. He said something like it is not his role to call anyone out on the defense (strongly hinting that the defense has gone extremely soft). Think about this. The NFL is a really physical league and putting emphasis behind all of your hits and bumps leads to a lot more pain on Mondays. It really does take a lot of mental toughness to fight hard throughout an entire game and this team is not displaying that toughness. That is by far the Bills biggest problem. 2. Fitzpatrick obviously has not played well and it is fairly clear that he is a game manager at best. And when you're not even sure if he is good enough to be a game manager, you're in trouble. I hold just a little reservation on this because at the beginning of last year he showed an ability to really light it up. I'm talking he was carving defenses up drive after drive at times. However, I do not think that was his true quarterback self manifesting. He is not a good NFL quarterback and very likely never will be. Some of his misses are very costly and should be easily executed by an NFL QB. The Hope: 1. Somehow, somebody rips into the softness of this team and somehow they get tough. Kyle William might be a good guy to do it. I think there is talent on this team and if guys play hard and tough, I think the results would be a lot different. 2. The defense keeps the Bills in games and this allows Fitz to be a game manager. Occasionally, he shows flashes of early 2011 to get us back in games. I really think these are the two biggest problems. The toughness might be fixable. The QB thing has to be addressed in the offseason. Until then, hopefully Fitz can at least be average and consistent.
  8. This is literally the dumbest thread I've seen in my short time at two bills drive.
  9. To start, I did not lose a bet. Secondly, it is much more than a game. I don't know how people can't see that, ESPECIALLY players. I like Dareus actually though. I was very impressed with his tackle so far downfield. The guy was freaking booking it for his size to make that tackle. However, the mentality of "it's just a game" cannot infect the mentality of a football team.
  10. What should my opinion be Nucci? "Oh I'm really sorry for you Marcell. Just take the season off. It's just a game after all, it doesn't mean anything. It's just how you have chosen to spend your entire life on this meaningless game. How much time do you need off Marcell? All of this year or next year too?" I actually gained a lot of respect for Marcell when he didn't take any time off, however, it would have been totally cool too if he took a couple games off. But if you're going to dismiss your life's work as meaningless and demean this sport that people dedicate their lives too, then you really need to check yourself. It's not just a game. It is much more than that. So continue on with your sanctimonious attitude Nucci. Maybe Gailey and Wannstedt have the same laid back attitude as Marcell does and that is the problem. Maybe we need a guy like Singletary to come into Buffalo and lay the foundation of toughness and meaning into these players like he did in San Fran. I know he can't scheme for crap but he will not allow complacency.
  11. No, it's not just a game. It is a huge part of your life. This isn't checkers with your nephew on Saturday morning. How you play, how you practice is who you are and I hope you think that's important Dareus. If it's just a game, then go do something important with your life and stop wasting it. I'd prefer my players have the Teddy Bruschi mentality who I personally hate. However, he credited football with teaching him so many important life lessons. It wasn't just a game to him, it was life. Dareus, I give you a bit of a pass because your bro just died, but this is not "just a game."
  12. Give Mario some freaking time. This is ridiculous. What did people expect out of him (10 sacks by week 5?). The lack of pass rush is not only his fault. Where's Dareus? Where's Kyle Williams? Where are the blitzes? I am still very happy we signed him. If we didn't iot would just be an extra $100 million in Ralph's pocket. We never maximize our cap. I'm starting to feel for Mario. People put the world of expectations on him. There is only so much you can do as a DE. Do I want him to step up? Of course. But just shut it about how we shouldn't have signed him.
  13. I completely disagree. I actually like Nix and think he has done a good job for the most part. His glaring mistake is Fitzpatrick, which is really bad on his part. Other than that I think he has done a good job assembling talent. I must say I completely am on the side of Buddy when it comes to philosophy. I would curse the TV everytime the Jauron clan would draft an undersized guy. I am much more in support of big bodies who can physically impose themselves. I must say it is a bit puzzling why this team is underachieving so much. It has to be coaching or character. I think talent wise, Buddy has done quite a bit to upgrade the team.
  14. I'd take him back in a heartbeat. Get over the BS Ralph. We need a winner.
  15. While I am pissed that these quitters are getting pissed at Bills Fans, I am kind of concerned that they just won't want to play hard anymore because the fans treat them like sh**. If you were a guy that was working hard to get better and the fans started blowing up your twitter that you suck and you don't try, how would you react? Losing is just bad all around. While some of these players probably deserve the ridicule, it certainly will not motivate them when the fans they are supposed to be playing for are hating on them.
  16. Upon reading this, I am flying to Vegas STAT to put my life savings on the Bills not making the playoffs hahaha
  17. More tweets: Aaron Williams retweeted this by Quentin Jammer: "Don't tweet me wit bull**** if u do t kno football!" Keep it classy Aaron. On a more positive note, I have to give some props to Jairus Byrd. His tweet: "Thanks to all for the the well wishes yesterday truly blessed....apologize for what took place."
  18. Plus I'm so sick of seeing his college football tweets (about freaking Texas) all saturday. Get in the film room you pansy and put in the work that you desperately need.
  19. BILLS TWEETS: Haha heard people were cheering for me when I got hurt. I'm praying for y'all and y'all stay blessed (Aaron Williams) “@aokafor80: "@adamsosna: @aokafor80 when are you guys going to start playing defense?" Haha some fans are BOLD”real bold bruh (Aaron Williams) “@bigern10: glad i have @Fred22Jackson on my fantasy team, !@#$in guy couldnt break through a wet paper bag!!!”---U some kind of tuff guy?? (Fred Jackson) MY REACTION: Aaron Williams, you really have a way of growing on us Bills Fans. First you get torched on 80% of plays and then you lash out at fans. It's laughable. Freddie, I'm a bit surprised by your tweet. Stay off this path. Are these guys seriously going to start lashing out at Bills fans? You can't even claim you played hard. The whole team quit by mid third quarter. Truly pathetic.I don't know where this team goes from here; nothing to look forward to.
  20. Ouch. I don't know if he is as bad as 30 but I certainly wouldn;t put him more than a few spots higher. What's even more concerning is Jaws studies every freaking play of every QB so maybe he is right. We're screwed. Get an elite prospect in BUffalo already!
  21. Please Mario, just do whatever you were doing in Houston! It's becoming blatently obvious I can't coach a d-line and I'm about to lose my job!
