  1. Played through High School. MLB or DE. Had a tryout scheduled with a semi-pro team, Buffalo Gladiators, back in the 90s but went off into the Marines instead. I've done some coaching at the youth level off and on when my kids have played
  2. I can personally confirm his family can be pretty insufferable. I'm in Tyler, TX... Mahomes grew up and played his HS ball in a small town just outside Tyler called Whitehouse, TX. Couple years back I was working for a home health company and we had his grandmother on service and they expected preferential treatment because they were "Mahomes". Rude, snobby, condescending to staff. Everyone dreaded going out there. This whole area has a ridiculous obsession with PM and that doesn't help matters
  3. Just continuing the anti-cop rhetoric. This guy had issues punching a police officer a while back. Fits the way the NFL is going https://www.themix.net/2020/11/nfls-decision-to-tap-artist-who-assaulted-police-for-super-bowl-halftime-sends-a-clear-message/
  4. First off, let me add I'm not crazy about this idea, but I can maybe see where they are going with this. The biggest thing I don't like is starting at the 25. An incomplete pass almost guarantees the other team at least 3pts because it pretty much puts them right at the field goal range of most kickers. With the recent changes to onside kicks, it's harder than the "historical" average to recover one these days so I understand the search for a for viable option while considering the CTE fears. If it's going to be a possibility, I'd say keep it at the 35 yard line. But still, this is going to be very bias to the better offenses in the league. A KC will do this much more often than say the Redskins, who don't simply have the firepower and will be the ones who need to do it. Kicks made it a more level playing field.
  5. If this isn't one of the most blanantly racist ideas I don't know what it. Boost your draft position solely on the basis of having a minority coach, who cares about qualifications anymore. I'm all for everyone getting their shot, but may the best man get the job. Not just getting their shot because it comes with perks and someone better qualified getting shafted.
  6. A better record than another division winner... Not the same division. Example wild card teams had better records than Seattle in 2010 when they won the division at 7-9 and the same with Carolina in 2014 at 7-8-1
  7. For those who have already chalked up Thanksgiving as a loss. I know it's in Dallas and they play better at home, but the way the 0-5 jests are beating them so far makes it seem fairly promising
  8. I played through high school, had a try out with a semi pro team back in the 90s. Went into the Marines instead. Now I'm a coach/trainer for little league teams
  9. I'm in Texas and usually stuck with cowboys or texans
  10. Holy crap... I actually get the game this week. WooHoo!!!
  11. Dallas is the only NFC team I can say I hate. I'm pretty meh when it comes to any others. I live a ways out of Dallas and the fans here are horrible. But my hatred for Dallas falls second only to the pats... I'm pretty neutral when it comes to any other team unless they're playing the Bills
  12. Not necessarily, most of the so called "predictions" so far are picking the jests to win and the Bills to have a similar record to last year. We don't get much credit, even though we upgraded every spot that we were weakest last year. Plus, Allen in his second year and didn't have to split first team reps in the off-season and by all accounts is picking everything up fast
  13. And show everyone in our only national televised game in Thanksgiving. Beat Dallas
  14. It has already started... I can only imagine how much this game is going to be built up over the next 4 months
  15. Grew up just outside of Niagara Falls, but currently live in a town about 2hrs East of Dallas. Mostly cowboy fans here, mixed in with some Texan and Saint fans. I have come across a stray Bills fan every now and then. It's a struggle in my house, my wife and her side of the family are all big time cowboy fans
