I'm sure they will draft a QB high in 2018. I would not start him in 2018 until he is NFL ready. That's where Peterman might be ready and play till the new QB is ready.

That's what Yates is for , I don't want to ruin Peterman he has good potential. I'm ok with getting a better draft pick if Yates is in. If Taylor gets hurt the OL could be dangerous.

During regular season games I would like to have Peterman up in the booth with a coach to learn how to read defenses. Give him time to develop not ruin him by throwing him into the fire too soon.

If they force Taylor to stay in the pocket with timing passes it's a tank. If Castillo screws up the OL it's a tank.

I think the only trade that might make sense would be if Rivers went down and Lynn knows how to use Taylor. If the pick made sense, I guess Yates could be a bridge then be in a position to draft a QB high in 2018. I don't think Taylor will be traded this season. Then again Taylor does not fit Dennison's system as a pocket , timing passes.

If Peterman can develop into a good backup it would be great, anymore is wishful thinking at this early stage.

Taylor is a bridge as a mobile QB till someone better is ready. Peterman is better as a pocket passer but is nowhere near ready.

Taylor's strength is being a mobile QB , not a pocket ,timing play QB in Dennison's system. Castillo's OL choices look scary without a healthy Glenn. They are changing a #10 offense that averaged 24.9 pts a game last season. Switching back to 4-3 but zone cover , player turnover , will take another draft to convert.
