GDT: Preseason Game 3 - Bills vs. Ravens at 7 PM ET

McCoy 6 carries for 7 yds , what a OL -
President Washington expresses genuine concern in that “the alternate domination” of one political party over another, thereby allowing one party to enjoy temporary power over the government that would use it to obtain revenge on the other. He felt that this tendency toward atrocities directed at the party out of power “…is itself a frightful despotism. But this leads at length to a more formal and permanent despotism.” Reading the words of his Farewell Address, an adept reader may be astounded at how remarkably prophetic they are: The disorders and miseries which result gradually incline the minds of men to seek security and repose in the absolute power of an individual; and sooner or later the chief of some prevailing faction, more able or more fortunate than his competitors, turns this disposition to the purposes of his own elevation, on the ruins of public liberty. Without looking forward to an extremity of this kind (which nevertheless ought not to be entirely out of sight), the common and continual mischiefs of the spirit of party are sufficient to make it the interest and duty of a wise people to discourage and restrain it. It serves always to distract the public councils and enfeeble the public administration. It agitates the community with ill-founded jealousies and false alarms, kindles the animosity of one part against another, foments occasionally riot and insurrection. It opens the door to foreign influence and corruption, which finds a facilitated access to the government itself through the channels of party passions. Thus the policy and the will of one country are subjected to the policy and will of another. Washington argued that political parties needed to be restrained in a free country with a government empowered by the consent of the governed and established through popular elections. He warned of the possibility fearing they could distract the government from its required duty to the people and even lead to the eradication of the freedoms established by the founding. Unfortunately, it is way too late to restrain the hunger for power in today’s political parties; it has been enculturated. America is at the mercy of two powerful political parties. If a strong candidate wants to get elected to office in this country, one usually needs some affiliation to the major parties. We see from history that third party forays are limited in strength and often serve only to undermine one or another of the major parties in the capacity of a “spoiler.” If Washington could see America now, probably the only thing that he could say after getting over the shock, would be: “I told you so!” http://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2014/dec/31/george-washingtons-views-political-parties-america/

At least Kelly is still draining the swamp of the WH staff. Trump is not draining the swamp he likes to wrestle with alligators .

Ram's sound like the Dennison system but Taylor is not suited for that.

I really like the WRs we have now. Cut down will be difficult , PS could be picked up by needy teams. Until the Bills have a franchise QB , no need to over spend yet.

Nate Peterman Love .. anyone vs. 2018 QB draft??
ALF replied to WideRightRevenge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last season the Bill's offense was #10 , average 24.9 pts a game. The Ryan defense was the problem. Taylor is a bridge QB https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/points-per-game Bill's Defense # 16 23.6 pts allowed per game average https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/opponent-points-per-game -

How much funding for a wall in the next fiscal year does Trump want ? The following was the last I read . $2.6B seems modest enough The trillions in shocking cuts in Donald Trump's budget, explained Updated by Dylan Matthews@dylanmattdylan@vox.com May 22, 2017, A 6.8 percent increase in funding for the Department of Homeland Security, including $2.6 billion in new border security funding to help pay for a border wall https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2017/5/22/15676490/trump-budget-2018-explained -

I'm sure they will draft a QB high in 2018. I would not start him in 2018 until he is NFL ready. That's where Peterman might be ready and play till the new QB is ready. -

That's what Yates is for , I don't want to ruin Peterman he has good potential. I'm ok with getting a better draft pick if Yates is in. If Taylor gets hurt the OL could be dangerous. -

During regular season games I would like to have Peterman up in the booth with a coach to learn how to read defenses. Give him time to develop not ruin him by throwing him into the fire too soon. -
If they force Taylor to stay in the pocket with timing passes it's a tank. If Castillo screws up the OL it's a tank.

I would bet it was a McD decision to pass on Mahomes , Watson and Kizer . Whaley did the wheeling and dealing for the players McD wanted.

SJ13 in his prime and free style routes would work with Taylor in the Lynn system not Dennison's. He was a perfect fit for Fitz

And to think Pakistan has nuclear weapons.

That has been a major problem with Pakistan . The US once had northern access thru Uzbekistan but that changed with the death of there pro US leader. The US has to use whatever leverage it can to use access thru Pakistan

18 regular season + playoffs the injuries really mount. The NFL makes a fortune now from TV revenue , the loss of 1 or 2 preseason should be minor.

Marrone said ideally Bortles throws Zero passes in a game...
ALF replied to Big Turk's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bummer, another team that will go big after a QB in 2018. Marrone does not stay with a QB he does not trust like EJ , now Bortles. -
I'm for 2 or 3 preseason games to evaluate drafted and UD players . Just keep veterans out of these games and use in practice .

900,000 cases dismissed with no evidence
ALF replied to Thurmal34's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
New York City to Pay Up to $75 Million Over Dismissed Summonses It covers at least 900,000 summonses, issued from 2007 to 2015, that were dismissed on grounds of legal insufficiency, which a federal judge later found was “tantamount to a decision that probable cause was presumptively lacking.” https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/23/nyregion/new-york-city-agrees-to-settlement-over-summonses-that-were-dismissed.html?mcubz=3
