  5. Digital Disaster: Facebook, Google carry fake news on Las Vegas shooting After the massacre on the Las Vegas Strip, here’s what people found on Facebook and Google: The shooter was an anti-Trump liberal who liked Rachel Maddow and MoveOn.org, that the F.B.I. had already linked him to the Islamic State, and that mainstream news organizations were suppressing that he had recently converted to Islam. All of these “gruesome” revelations are “entirely false,” says Kevin Roose in a disturbing column in the New York Times. "In Google’s case, trolls from 4Chan, a notoriously toxic online message board with a vocal far-right contingent, had spent the night scheming about how to pin the shooting on liberals. One of their discussion threads, in which they wrongly identified the gunman, was picked up by Google’s 'top stories' module, and spent hours at the top of the site’s search results for that man’s name." "In Facebook’s case, an official 'safety check’'page for the Las Vegas shooting prominently displayed a post from a site called 'Alt-Right News.' The post incorrectly identified the shooter and described him as a Trump-hating liberal. In addition, some users saw a story on a 'trending topic' page on Facebook for the shooting that was published by Sputnik, a news agency controlled by the Russian government. The story’s headline claimed, incorrectly, that the F.B.I. had linked the shooter with the 'Daesh terror group.'" http://www.foxnews.com/tech/2017/10/04/digital-disaster-facebook-google-carry-fake-news-on-las-vegas-shooting.html
  6. Even Big Ben can miss seeing a open WR Big Ben on Antonio Brown tantrum: 'It's unfortunate' Steelers wideout Antonio Brown's sideline Gatorade jug toss was a display of frustration grand enough to ensure that all of Brown's coaches and teammates would probably be asked about it sometime this week. Ben Roethlisberger, who missed an open Brown on Sunday against the Ravens to trigger the reaction, said he wished it would have gone down differently. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000855973/article/big-ben-on-antonio-brown-tantrum-its-unfortunate
  7. It's pretty much a must win game for the Bengals. I just hope the refs keep a close eye on Burfict and Pac Man Jones.
  8. Pro Football Focus' grading has also not been friendly to Gilmore this season. They rank him 71st among NFL cornerbacks. The Bills have two cornerbacks (White No. 5 and Gaines No. 18) in the top 20 of PFF's grading, while Poyer is No. 8 among safeties and Hyde is No. 34.

  13. I had no idea it was that bad. That CEO OF ENGINEERING FIRM should be the Governor there, at least listen to him.
  14. Clayton Thorson*, QB, Northwestern Height: 6-4. Weight: 225. Projected 40 Time: 4.78. Projected Round (2018): 1-3. 9/28/17: Scouts who have been through Northwestern have told me that they were impressed with what they saw from Thorson (6-4, 225) on tape and in practice. Thorson has shown that he has pro potential in terms of his skill set. He can throw the deep out with a fastball that can be fit into tight windows. Thorson has quality mechanics with a quick delivery. Scouts say that he has a super strong arm, is smart, athletic, and has improved as a junior. http://walterfootball.com/draft2018QB.php

  21. "The mayor's living on a cot, and I hope the President has a good day at golf," said Honoré, who led the military response in 2005 to Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans. Retired Lt. Gen. Russel Honoré drew a stark distinction Saturday when asked about President Donald Trump's tweets accusing San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulín Cruz of "poor leadership" in her response to the humanitarian crisis in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria. Cruz also said she and her family are staying at the Coliseum in San Juan, along with more than 600 people. They're sleeping on cots and eating the same food as everyone else after their house flooded. http://www.cnn.com/2017/09/30/us/honore-mayor-trump-cnntv/index.html

  23. All foreign countries need to do now is send money or supplies to U.S. who can transfer it to P.R. when possible.
  24. I'm disappointed I have not heard of foreign countries helping Puerto Rico. The U.S. goes into debt to help them during disasters. What goes around should come around this time.
