“Who’s the person that gave the whistleblower the information? Because that’s close to a spy,” Trump said. “You know what we used to do in the old days, when we were smart, right? The spies and treason? We used to handle it a little differently than we do now.” The Los Angeles Times obtained and released a recording of the president’s comments. The Trump administration reportedly began placing transcripts of Trump's calls with several foreign leaders in a highly classified repository after leakers publicly divulged the contents of Trump's private calls with the leaders of Mexico and Australia in 2017. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ukrainian-official-appears-to-cast-doubt-on-quid-pro-quo-claim That will deter a direct knowledge whistleblower

US says Assad regime used chlorine in May attack Pompeo said Wednesday that the US "will not allow these attacks to go unchallenged, nor will we tolerate those who choose to conceal these atrocities." He also announced an additional $4.5 million contribution by the US to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons "to help its investigations of continued chemical weapons use in Syria." The Trump administration ordered retaliatory strikes against Syrian regime targets in 2017 and 2018 after reports of chemical weapons attacks by Syrian President Bashar al Assad's forces. https://www.cnn.com/2019/09/26/politics/syria-chlorine-attack-may/index.html

The timeline of Trump’s decision to withhold aid to Ukraine is increasingly suspicious Trump ordered the aid held just ahead of a call with Ukraine’s president. (call on July 25) President Donald Trump reportedly asked his acting chief of staff Mick Mulvaney to ensure Ukraine did not receive the $391 million in military aid Congress had approved — at least one week ahead of the phone call he made to that country’s leaders that now sits at the center of a whistleblower’s complaint. According to a report from the Washington Post Monday night, officials at the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) told the Pentagon and State Department in mid-July to freeze the aid over “concerns” that the money didn’t need to be spent. The funds were finally released on September 11, but the timing of that request — not to mention Trump’s personal involvement — is drawing extra scrutiny as the whistleblower complaint roils Washington. https://www.vox.com/policy-and-politics/2019/9/24/20881505/donald-trump-withhold-aid-ukraine-timeline-whistleblower While the current OMB Director is Mick Mulvaney, he is currently also the acting White House Chief of Staff. -

Longtime L.A. sportscaster Fred Roggin says Kroenke was anticipating the Chargers would generate close to $400 million from the sale of Personal Seat Licenses (PSLs). Instead, the real figure is turning out to be tens or even hundreds of millions short of the target, and Kroenke is the one responsible for making up the difference. Costs for the Inglewood Stadium, which will be called SoFi Stadium after a sponsorship deal was announced earlier this month, are skyrocketing to almost $5 billion. The facility was initially expected to cost $1.9 billion. Kroenke is responsible for everything but the money the Chargers generate in PSL sales and a $200 million NFL G-6 loan. The Chargers, though, get to keep all their gameday revenues when they play in the new building. https://www.10news.com/sports/sports-news/report-stadium-tension-rising-between-rams-and-chargers-owners
