The fin fan forum expect a big win for the Bills https://finheaven.com/threads/final-score-miami-dolphins-v-buffalo-bills.357213/ game time weather looks ideal for football , low 60s , little wind A refresher course Even though they live in the ocean all of the time, dolphins are mammals, not fish. Like every mammal, dolphins are warm blooded. Unlike fish, who breathe through gills, dolphins breathe air using lungs. Dolphins must make frequent trips to the surface of the water to catch a breath.

Former top Navy SEAL who oversaw the Osama bin Laden raid says the US is 'under attack from the president' The retired US Navy Adm. William McRaven, a Navy SEAL who oversaw the raid that took out al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden in 2011, gave a bleak assessment of President Donald Trump and alleged the commander in chief was gutting the country of the "nation's principles." "They have seen our leaders stand beside despots and strongmen, preferring their government narrative to our own," McRaven wrote. "They have seen us abandon our allies and have heard the shouts of betrayal from the battlefield. As I stood on the parade field at Fort Bragg, one retired four-star general, grabbed my arm, shook me and shouted, 'I don't like the Democrats, but Trump is destroying the Republic!'" https://www.businessinsider.com/william-mcraven-navy-seal-us-is-under-attack-from-trump-2019-10

A letter to Kurdish soldiers from a US military wife You don't know me, but I have known of you for most of my adult life. When my military husband and I quickly married, knowing he was deploying to the Middle East to be part of the 2003 invasion of Iraq, I feared what he and his Special Operations unit would face when they arrived. How bad would the fighting be? How long would they be gone? Would he survive? Months later, he returned and recounted to me what he could about his experience. I asked how he had made it through. He replied, "We had help. We had the Kurds." He told me stories of how the Kurdish people in Northern Iraq supported the troops, advised them, stood by them, fought shoulder to shoulder with them in combat, and became allies and friends. And I became grateful -- immensely, unwaveringly, and forever grateful for you. Since then, the word "Kurds" in my home has meant something. It has meant "ally" There are pictures of Iraqi Kurds alongside my husband and fellow soldiers in our home. I have a coffee mug with depictions of female Syrian Kurdish soldiers on it that I proudly use to remind me of you. My children play soccer in their Kurdistan jerseys. The Kurdish people are not nameless, faceless people across the world. You hold a place of honor and respect in our home. It's important to me that all of you know that. I owe you so much. My husband is home safe today after years of fighting and I know you helped make that happen. But now, I watch the news in horror. I see promises broken, progress destroyed, years of hard work and unimaginable sacrifice gone in a tweet. I see allies betrayed, their faces in my picture frame. While watching the news, my children turn to me and ask if those are our friends and I say yes. They have looks of confusion on their faces. https://www.cnn.com/2019/10/17/opinions/letter-to-kurdish-soldiers-from-military-wife-opinion/index.html The full sad letter at the link

Massive sextortion attack running wild, security firm says

The real threat is ransomware where they encrypt your computer until ransom is paid. That is mainly city gov agencies , hospitals if I understand it. -
• YPG would withdraw 20miles YPG is an acronym whose translation means People's Protection Units. It is the home grown defense forces of the Kurdish area of Syria The USA have usually supported the YPG militia in its fight against ISIL, both with air support in combat and with embedded US Special Forces. The Kurdish military force would have to withdraw from the Turkey border. Will the Kurdish civilians who have always lived in this 20 mile region be allowed to stay in their homes ?

Here’s a sample of a sextortion email created by the spam bot, as provided by Check Point: “Hi, I know one of your passwords is: {password} Your computer was infected with my private malware…My malware gave me full access to all your accounts (see password above), full control over your computer and it also was possible to spy on you over your webcam. I collected all your private data and I RECORDED YOU (through your webcam) SATISFYING YOURSELF! I can publish the video of you and all your private data on the whole web, social networks, over email of all contacts." Sextortion is a growing threat. In 2018, the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center received 51,146 extortion-related complaints with adjusted losses of over $83 million, a 242 percent increase from 2017. At the root of the campaign is a botnet currently operating on more than 450,000 infected hosts, according to a new report from Check Point Research, an IT security firm. The botnet – a network of malicious computers – spits out millions of sextortion threats, as many as 30,000 per hour, Check Point said https://www.foxnews.com/tech/massive-sextortion-attack-running-wild One response is interesting if possible If they were legitimately able to hack your computer then why not just go into your bank account and wire the money to themselves?

Trump reportedly called Jim Mattis the 'world's most overrated general' in a chaotic meeting on Syria President Donald Trump belittled his former defense secretary, Jim Mattis, by characterizing him as the "world's most overrated general," according to a Washington Post report published Wednesday. The account from numerous officials came during an afternoon closed door meeting with congressional leaders in the Cabinet Room of the White House on Wednesday. In the meeting, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer reportedly brought up dissenting views towards the president's decision to withdraw the vast majority of roughly 1,000 US troops stationed in Syria. https://www.businessinsider.com/trump-says-jim-mattis-most-overrated-general-2019-10

Still more lack of common sense British holidaymakers 'traumatised' after arrest at US border A British couple say they have been detained in the US after accidentally crossing the border from Canada. David Connors, 30, and his wife Eileen, 24, say they are being held in Pennsylvania with their three-month-old baby and are "traumatised". They say were driving with relatives on 3 October when, to avoid an animal, they veered onto a small road. A police officer then pulled them over, told them they were in the US state of Washington and arrested them. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-50050467 -

Bolton instructed former Russia adviser to alert NSC lawyer over Ukraine, adviser testifies The New York Times reported that during the meeting, Bolton got into a heated exchange with Gordon D. Sondland, the European Union ambassador. The paper reported that Sondland worked with Rudy Giuliani, Trump's personal lawyer, to pressure the Ukrainians to investigate the Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden. Hill reportedly said Bolton likened the former New York City mayor to a “hand grenade who’s going to blow everybody up.” She said it appeared Giuliani was not working in coordination with the normal foreign policy channels when dealing with Ukraine. “I am not part of whatever drug deal Rudy and Mulvaney are cooking up,” Bolton reportedly told White House attorneys. The Washington Post reported that investigators are now considering calling Bolton to testify. Sondland is expected to testify later this week. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/bolton-instructed-former-russia-adviser-to-talk-to-nsc-lawyer-over-ukraine
