The Impeachment Trial of President Donald J. Trump
ALF replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I would be ok with the Senate not calling witnesses and then acquittal of Trump if they don't censor Bolton's book and let him talk freely to the media. -
A deadly virus is spreading from state to state and has infected 15 million Americans so far. It's influenza The 2019-2020 flu season is projected to be one of the worst in a decade, according to the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. At least 140,000 people have been hospitalized with complications from the flu, and that number is predicted to climb as flu activity swirls. In the 2019-2020 season so far, 15 million people in the US have gotten the flu and 8,200 people have died from it, including at least 54 children. Flu activity has been elevated for 11 weeks straight, the CDC reported, and will likely continue for the next several weeks. https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/30/health/flu-deadly-virus-15-million-infected-trnd/index.html

ALF replied to JerseyBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I watched the interview of his older brother with Dr Oz on 1/30 , very sad his early life and strict father. The Netflix show saying he had gay relations since 7th grade. I think the CTE and being bisexual did him in . I feel worse for the other people who were killed , trajic story -
" poor stadiums like Oakland and San Diego needed major renovation or replace." Of course , but the Pegulas are improving New Era the other two did not and lost their teams. The owners of the Raiders and Chargers wanted the city and state to fund their stadiums , the Pegulas are doing the renovating now, big difference.

ALF replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
White House has issued formal threat to Bolton to keep him from publishing book In a letter to Bolton's lawyer, a top official at the National Security Council wrote the unpublished manuscript of Bolton's book "appears to contain significant amounts of classified information" and couldn't be published as written. https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/29/politics/donald-trump-john-bolton-white-house-book/index.html Since the President has the power to declassify material , hmmm -

Ex-WH chief of staff Kelly says he believes Bolton's account of Ukraine allegation Washington (CNN)Former White House chief of staff John Kelly says he believes John Bolton's allegation that President Donald Trump told the former national security adviser that US security aid to Ukraine was conditioned on an investigation of the President's political rivals, adding that Bolton should be heard from. "If John Bolton says that in the book I believe John Bolton," Kelly said Monday night when asked about the leaked draft manuscript during remarks at the Ringling College Library Association Town Hall lecture series, according to the Herald Tribune of Sarasota, Florida. Kelly said Bolton "always gave the president the unvarnished truth" and is a "man of integrity and great character." "I mean, half of Americans think this process is purely political and shouldn't be happening, but since it is happening, the majority of Americans would like to hear the whole story," Kelly said. https://www.cnn.com/2020/01/28/politics/john-kelly-believes-john-bolton/index.html -
Looks like the best ME plan so far. If the Palestinians turn down $50B over 10 years aid then they live in poverty.

The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
ALF replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
While NPR does not receive any direct federal funding, it does receive a small number of competitive grants from CPB and federal agencies like the Department of Education and the Department of Commerce. This funding amounts to approximately 2% of NPR's overall revenues. -
JUNE 22, 2019 / 10:11 AM / 7 MONTHS AGO Exclusive: White House's Kushner unveils economic portion of Middle East peace plan WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The White House on Saturday outlined a $50 billion Middle East economic plan that would create a global investment fund to lift the Palestinian and neighboring Arab state economies, and fund a $5 billion transportation corridor to connect the West Bank and Gaza. The ambitious economic revival plan, the product of two years of work by Kushner and other aides, would take place only if a political solution to the region’s long-running problems is reached. More than half of the $50 billion would be spent in the economically troubled Palestinian territories over 10 years while the rest would be split between Egypt, Lebanon and Jordan. Some of the projects would be in Egypt’s Sinai peninsula, where investments could benefit Palestinians living in adjacent Gaza, a crowded and impoverished coastal enclave. The Trump administration hopes that wealthy Gulf states and nations in Europe and Asia, along with private investors, would foot much of the bill, Kushner told Reuters https://www.reuters.com/article/us-israel-palestinians-plan-exclusive/exclusive-white-houses-kushner-unveils-economic-portion-of-middle-east-peace-plan-idUSKCN1TN0ES

Mel Kiper has the bills taking Shenault Jr
ALF replied to 78thealltimegreat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Shenault Jr from the Colorado Buffaloes would be a good fit here. I've seen him going as high as #13 in a mock. The combine will fine tune the draft position. -
I wonder if it was Andy's idea to trade up for Mahomes . He did develop him perfect .

This was a similar example The Texans wanted to jettison Osweiler's $16 million base salary in 2017 and found a taker in the Browns. The Browns will receive a 2018 second-round draft pick and a 2017 sixth-round pick. The Browns will send the Texans a 2017 fourth-round pick. https://www.oregonlive.com/nfl/2017/03/houston_texans_trade_qb_brock.html
