  1. Lose of Shaq Lawson , hope Epenesa is a upgrade , like the pick
  2. The fear for both parties is not to overwhelm the hospital systems. No way the shutdown can end in hotspots. I agree it could be loosened in less affected areas. Even in sparse states meat packing plants are being hit hard. They don't have a handle on this yet.
  3. 26 Governors are republican , Trump should be able to convince them to end most of the shutdown ?
  4. So Michelle Obama would have to be the VP candidate or Trump wins bigly ? Lets see what the economy is like in Nov Not that I would vote for Trump or Biden , NYC will decide the electoral votes for NY
  5. Black women in the Cabinet would appease.
  6. He was on a ventilator, fighting for his life. A stranger sent reinforcements On the seventh night, they got some help: 11 ounces of gold-colored liquid from the veins of a stranger. A man who'd fought the same enemy and won. Because it's still an investigational treatment, the hospital needed permission from the FDA. They got it within hours. Now they just needed the plasma. He was looking for a plasma donor, because his friend was dying, and the donor had to meet all these requirements. A positive lab test for Covid-19. A compatible blood type. A full recovery from the disease, and so forth. He said he was looking for a needle in a haystack. The man in Stuart texted him back: I'm your needle in the haystack. https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/22/opinions/coronavirus-plasma-donor/index.html
  7. I was so bored I called Jake from State Farm just to talk to someone. He asked me what I was wearing. 2019: Stay away from negative people. 2020: Stay away from positive people. The world has turned upside down. Old folks are sneaking out of the house, and their kids are yelling at them to stay indoors! You think it's bad now? In 20 years our country will be run by people home-schooled by day drinkers... This virus has done what no woman had been able to do...cancel all sports, shut down all bars, and keep men at home!!! Do not call the police on suspicious people in your neighborhood! Those are your neighbors without makeup and hair extensions! Since we can't eat out, now's the perfect time to eat better, get fit, and stay healthy. We're quarantined! Who are we trying to impress? We have snacks, we have sweatpants – I say we use them! Day 7 at home and the dog is looking at me like, "See? This is why I chew the furniture!" Does anyone know if we can take showers yet or should we just keep washing our hands??? I never thought the comment "I wouldn't touch him/her with a 6 foot pole" would become a national policy, but here we are! Me: Alexa what's the weather this weekend? Alexa: It doesn't matter – you're not going anywhere. Can everyone please just follow the government instructions so we can knock out this corona virus and be done?! I feel like a kindergartner who keeps losing more recess time because one or two kids can't follow directions. I swear my fridge just said "what the hell do you want now?" When this is over...what meeting do I attend first...Weight Watchers or AA? Quarantine has turned us into dogs. We roam the house all day looking for food. We are told "no" if we get too close to strangers. And we get really excited about car rides. Tomorrow is the National Home-school Tornado Drill. Lock your kids in the basement until you give the all clear. You're welcome!
  8. 19 coronavirus cases connected to Wisconsin primary election, state health official says (CNN)At least 19 people in Wisconsin who said they voted in-person or worked the polls for the state's April 7 primary election have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to the state health department. Wisconsin Department of Health Services Deputy Secretary Julie Willems Van Dijk said that the 19 people received positive test results after April 9, which was first reported Tuesday by Talking Points Memo. However, Willems Van Dijk said that several of those people "reported other possible exposures as well." https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/22/politics/wisconsin-april-7-election-coronavirus-cases/index.html
  9. Mitch’s itchy palm: The Senate majority leader wants blue states to go bankrupt while Kentucky relies on federal largesse Mitch McConnell, the most powerful man in the U.S. Senate, is kindly suggesting New York and other places throttled by the coronavirus and associated economic shutdowns swallow the fiscal cyanide of bankruptcy, rather than get federal aid, what his staff calls a “Blue State Bailout.” No, the feds shouldn’t prop up rickety pension systems and otherwise unsustainable state spending habits. But the nightmare New York — which, ahem, annually sends $30 billion-plus more to Washington than it gets back — is living through has nothing to do with that and everything to do with the spread of COVID-19. We speak of Kentucky, where in a recent fiscal year, 39.5% of the state’s overall budget came from Washington, making it the fourth most DC-dependent state in the nation. By another measure, Kentucky is the nation’s second most federally dependent state. Kentucky, which has pocketed loads of federal transportation aid, a fact that of course has nothing to do with the fact that McConnell’s wife runs the federal Department of Transportation. https://www.nydailynews.com/opinion/ny-edit-mitchs-itchy-palm-20200423-xefai32pszahxna5v64dwhmwyu-story.html
  10. I think Larson should get a second chance , one very bad thing he said
  11. Should be common sense for at least risk areas
  12. Russia is harassing U.S. jets in the Arctic as part of a Putin power play The Russian president wants to signal that Moscow remains a strategic competitor to Washington and has the ability to attack the U.S. mainland. https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/russia-harassing-u-s-jets-arctic-part-putin-power-play-ncna1010781
  13. The Russians harass unarmed or anti sub patrol craft. I would agree they should have US fighter jets to defend them from now on.
  14. Coronavirus at meat packing plants worse than first thought, USA TODAY investigation finds A rash of coronavirus outbreaks at dozens of meat packing plants across the nation is far more extensive than previously thought, according to an exclusive review of cases by USA TODAY and the Midwest Center for Investigative Reporting. https://www.usatoday.com/in-depth/news/investigations/2020/04/22/meat-packing-plants-covid-may-force-choice-worker-health-food/2995232001/ These are not large urban areas
  15. Trump on Twitter tells US Navy to 'shoot down and destroy' Iranian boats that harass US ships CNN reported last week that the US Navy released video that it says shows Iranian naval vessels repeatedly conducting "dangerous and harassing approaches" toward US Navy warships in the North Arabian Sea and claimed that one Iranian vessel came within 10 yards of colliding with a US ship. The video of the incident appears to show multiple Iranian-flagged vessels, with men manning guns at the front of those ships, passing in front of a US naval vessel. The guns do not appear to be pointed at the ship, which sounded a horn multiple times as the Iranian vessels approached. https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/22/politics/trump-us-navy-iranian-ships-tweet/index.html I would agree , not sure how to deal with Russian jets that harass US aircraft.
  16. Vice President Michelle Obama? "I'd take her in a heartbeat," Biden told Jon Delano of former first lady Michelle Obama. "She's brilliant. She knows the way around. She is a really fine woman. The Obamas are great friends." https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/21/politics/michelle-obama-joe-biden-vice-president/index.html
  17. Protests erupt again over coronavirus shelter-in-place orders. Here's why governors aren't budging Health care workers stand in opposition to Denver protesters who demanded a stay-at-home order be lifted on Sunday. https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/20/us/protests-coronavirus-stay-at-home-orders/index.html The healthcare workers blocking traffic , what a powerful message that picture sends
  18. Experts say it may be time for grocery stores to ban customers from coming inside because of Covid-19 Dozens of grocery store workers have died from the coronavirus, despite masks, temperature checks and capacity restrictions to keep them safe. So far, supermarkets have resisted the most draconian policy: banning customers from coming inside. However, some worker experts, union leaders and small grocery owners believe it has become too dangerous to let customers browse aisles, coming into close range with workers. Grocery stores are still flooded with customers, and experts say it's time for large chains to go "dark" to the public and convert to curbside pickup and home delivery for food and other essential goods. Some companies and safety experts say it's not feasible to convert all grocery stores to delivery and pickup-only outposts. Ordering systems for both pickup and delivery are completely overwhelmed by a crush of demand from customers in many areas of the country. Online pickup and delivery requires a much larger staff than grocery stores are currently equipped with. That could fill supermarkets to capacity with workers, defeating the purpose of removing the public from stores. https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/19/business/grocery-stores-coronavirus-pickup-delivery/index.html That is a very scary idea
  19. I worked in the same building as Tim McVeigh's father Bill . A very quite , gentle giant , everyone could see the pain he was in. How Bill McVeigh endured 25 years as the father of a terrorist https://www.limaohio.com/news/407144/how-bill-mcveigh-endured-25-years-as-the-father-of-a-terrorist

  21. Biden has one VP pick that stands above the rest Sen. Elizabeth Warren. https://www.cnn.com/2020/04/18/opinions/biden-vp-pick-stands-above-the-rest-zelizer/index.html Would make sense to get Sanders supporters
  22. Trump calls protesters against stay-at-home orders 'very responsible' Donald Trump has posted highly incendiary tweets stoking protests against physical distancing and other coronavirus stay-at-home measures in three states led by Democratic governors. “LIBERATE MINNESOTA!” the US president wrote in capital letters on Friday. “LIBERATE MICHIGAN!” He followed up with a third tweet: “LIBERATE VIRGINIA, and save your great 2nd Amendment. It is under siege!” – a reference to Virginia’s governor, Ralph Northam, last week signing into law new measures on gun control. His latest provocative interventions followed demonstrations against stay-at-home orders in Michigan, Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia and other states that have drawn elements of the far right. Some protesters have carried guns, waved Trump and Confederate flags and sought to frame the debate as a defence of constitutional freedoms. They have been egged on by conservative media hosts such as Fox News’s Jeanine Pirro, who said: “What happened in Lansing [Michigan] today, God bless them: it’s going to happen all over the country.” https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2020/apr/17/trump-liberate-tweets-coronavirus-stay-at-home-orders As of 2020 there are 26 Republican governors. Hey go for it , lead the way back to normal
