I guess I meant that it's an underrated priority, at least it seems to me. Almost all mocks I've looked at had our biggest needs as IOL, CB, DL, RB. WR might actually be the biggest area of need above all else.
I’m saying if it came down to the last 2 coaches that you have rated equally. Would this rule sway you? It’s totally hypothetical, but I don’t see how it wouldn’t factor in. Put yourself in that GM spot. That wouldn’t even cross your mind?
I’d be ok with KD as a first time OC. Continuity is a good thing and KD seems like a bright mind and held in high regards. But it’s looking like he will be gone. I would just hope that Josh has a strong say in the hire.
Yeah I know that the hiring team doesn’t lose picks. But let’s say that the hiring decision came down to Coach A and Coach B, and it was very close. And Coach A was a minority within the division, I would have to think that giving a division rival 2 extra 3rd round picks would factor into the decision. I know we all joke here about the Pats getting comp picks, I’m sure it’s something coaches think about too.
Are there honestly any OCs left that run on 1st and 2nd down in all situations? I can't think of any. I am on board with a dynamic running game. But definitely not run on 1st and 2nd all the time.
Does anyone think that these compensatory picks may be actually costing coaches opportunities? Do you think Miami would rather us not have the picks and go with someone else if it was a close call?
He (Edmunds) hasn't been making impact plays. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, he's big and fast. He's good in the zone because he covers a lot of ground. But yeah his instincts are way below average and he can be a liability.
