Goodwin is retired from long jumping...until the next Olympics in 2020. lots of people like to praise Goodwin for being a good guy but he straight up played the Bills organization saying he was 100% committed to football but was training for the Olympics all along. shady mofo
every day is Jerry's day. very selfish player. him and Dareus are supposed to be the leaders of the defense and they are a couple of knuckleheads. neither will last with this regime.
happy for him. i like when former players are able to catch on elsewhere. there's still so many that haven't yet. aaron williams and manny lawson come to mind. also spikes
They don't get attached to WR's in New England either. Because it doesn't matter if you have a good QB. Put X, Y, Z out there and win the super bowl. Doesn't matter who the RB or OL are either. Get the QB at all costs!!
After I saw they traded him one of my first thought was "oh so the first free passes were an audition." But if Beane says nobody knew then I believe him until he gives us a reason not to. Maybe he said throw the first few to Watkins to get him going and didn't say why. That's certainly possible
i think if he was worth that much they would be open to it. he re-signed for less here because i don't think there was much interest around the league. this was his best chance to start
Goodwin had very good combine numbers but obviously he wasn't much of a player. the combine doesn't tell the whole story. the first thing scouts look at is the TAPE. the combine numbers are just another tool to help solidify what they see on film.
Sammy was not re-signing here and if he's smart he will not sign in LA either. they gave up a lot for a 1 year rent-a-player and we capitalized. plus the Rams are terrible on offense (because of QB) and I expect them to be one of the 10 worst teams in the league if not top 5 so we have a pick right at the top of the 2nd which is almost like a late 1st, especially if there is a run on QB's and first round guys fall
another one bites the dust. they said the same thing about Watkins when he first hurt his foot. "it's just a pain tolerance issue and he can play through it and will be week to week."
if this was previous years there would be leaks about how the coach and GM don't get along and don't see eye to eye. this duo and maybe Chan and Nix before them are the only ones where i don't think that will be an issue. they seem to be very close and very like minded and they probably work very well together
I'm sure Kyle had opportunities to leave but he has like 3653 kids and he didn't want to relocate them. he chose to stay here, he knew what he was getting himself into and he made a lot of money along the way living for fairly cheap
