  1. Let's just hope they identify the right guy his time. A lot of people's jobs depend on it
  2. Having a 5th round Nate Peterman doesn't stop you from drafting someone too. Takes QB's a few years to develop. You need to hedge your bets
  3. Sammy would be wise to be one and done in LA. If he catches on with a team like *cough* New England he could be a hall of famer one day. He's only 24 folks
  4. Alex Smith is consistently average. It might take an injury for them to replace him (like in San Fran). He better do whatever it takes to stay on the field. If he gets knocked out of a game he's going to lose his job
  5. Not tanking or Yates would be starting. If we get a QB he's not starting next year anyhow. Nothing is any different. We were a .500 team before and we will be a .500 team still. Only difference is we have a chance at adding some future talent next year so in 2 years maybe we look like a real team
  6. Anyone think he will have better year than Sammy?
  7. I've heard of him
  8. Mahomes throws for 1200 yards and 18 TD's in the second half and the forum melts down for good.
  9. No this is Brandon Beane. No relation to Billy Beane.
  10. how much worse are they though? they got a possible 1k yards receiver and a db that will play zone (oh yea PLUS the picks!)
  11. Both combined cheaper than Sammy
  12. I agree. I would do the Darby trade in a second. I would have asked for more for Sammy (better CB or an additional pick). That's my final answer
  13. I like the thinking behind it. I would have liked a better CB. We needed a starter not a backup caliber player. At first I was shocked. I came inside after mowing the lawn and all hell was breaking loose. Then I stopped to consider everything and Watkins wasn't going to come back and Darby didn't fit the scheme. So I like the trades, I don't love them. If we somehow got a 1st or a starting CB I would probably be doing cartwheels right now
  14. Maybe we can get a better CB instead. This guy wasn't even going to start for them
  15. LA is taking a chance that Sammy will want to stay there with a bust QB at the helm. Giving up a second and a player is a big risk on their part. I don't think either side "won" As for Darby, he didn't fit the scheme. It is what it is. When you change coaches and schemes every 2 years that's what happens
  16. what if i won the lottery? why would this be a bad thing?
  17. they are trading up for a QB. they are collecting the needed ammo. now hopefully they might the right choice
  18. if they were tanking they would trade Darby for a 2nd instead of a 3rd and Matthews. they are still trying to win some games
  19. that is correct. but the 85 Taurus runs so you have a hard time justifying replacing it and you think that maybe with some nice rims and a new paintjob it will be the best car on the block. but in the end it's still just an 85 Taurus!
  20. Tyrod isnt' a franchise QB, he's the guy that will win us a few games between now and them getting next year's rookie ready Sammy is the $10k spinner rims that don't always spin but they still look nice and sometimes they work!
  21. you dont want to use the franchise tag ever. it's there mostly as a bargaining tool
  22. I would
  23. the way things are trending he might come out ahead in that trade!
  24. Watkins is good, he just hasnt' been on the field. He's still really young. I feel like he could still catch on somewhere and have a big career with multiple pro bowls. Maybe not LA but he still has a long career ahead of him somewhere!
