Off work this week - company mandated furlough. Went to the NFL HOF today. I was a bit sceptical on the drive over, but in the end I was very impressed. Good way to develop a buzz for the season. I highly recommend it if you are in that area. >> I did take pictures of the Bills HOF'ers busts and some other Buffalo items. I'll see if I can get them posted to the site. <<

Stay positive and crack open a beer. When one door closes another opens. I've had to deal with similar crap 3 different times. Each one was a kick in the onions and moved on from each one. Enjoy the weekend!

Yoga - best exercise (physical and mental) that I have participated in for a long time. Wish I had taken it up sooner. Chef - sorry, guess I have 2 strikes on me from your perspective. Yoga and cycling.

City of Columbus has re-developed / transformed a downtown mall to a "commons" area. Summer pops concerts, food truck festivals, etc are held there. Thought was in the right direction. Now, developers are building a multi-unit apartment / condo / townhouse area directly adjacent to this common area. They look nice from the outside, but for 3-4 months of the year I think I would have to find another place to live. Noise (late nite, early morning) would drive me away. We'll see how this takes.

When reading this I was laughing about how this sounds like the anti-cyclists thread. Then you drop the reference in there. >> And yes, I am making some fun of myself (cyclist). And no, I am not trying to hijack the thread. <<

2 small gardens. One for greens, beans, herbs, and the like that is fenced to keep the critters out. The other for tomatoes. Make a salsa at the end of the season that I freeze for use in the winter. Grow rhubarb and asparagus in some perennial gardens around the house. Make my own sauerkraut. And the occasional ice cream with a hand crank maker. Used to can strawberry and rasberry jam, but the canning lids got harder to locate (lazy?). Going to look into a smoker for my birthday.

I live within a half a mile to a state park that is heavily wooded and has a very large reservoir, along with some farm land right near by.
