Jets want another qb. The hots for Trubisky
What a Tuel replied to Maury Ballstein's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Picking a successful QB like Wilson out of a draft and holding him up is great and all, but I could pick 10 times as many QB's that we didn't pick that still flopped. The argument is that not picking those QB's that flopped is a bad thing because by not doing so we missed out on picking the one that didn't (Wilson). However the odds of picking Wilson from the ones that flopped are ridiculous without hindsight. Scouts didn't give Wilson a chance, the scouts were wrong. The scouts didn't give Hackenberg a good grade, they were likely right. I don't like the argument that we should ignore scouting and draft the duds because one could be a gem. That just sounds awful. -

Wentz is about a big of a bust as RG3 or Ponder or Luck or Carr or Tannehill or Bradford or Newton or Bortles was in the last 6ish years. You simply can't say for sure at this point. He is showing an ugly side right now, but time will tell. -

Like I said, time will tell, but that has been said of many QBs. He is a rookie, and he will have a shot to improve. I'm just saying it isn't guaranteed. I don't think Dak Prescott is guaranteed either. Derek Carr is proving himself right now. That's what these other QB's have to do. Consistency is king. -

You were actually right the first time. They drafted 4 QB's in 4 years. Every year. Hasn't worked for them. 2013 - Geno Smith 2014 - Tajh Boyd 2015 - Bryce Petty 2016 - Christian Hackenberg. Wentz started out great but he is currently 4 tds and 9 ints in the last 6 games. I really hate when people declare QB's great so quickly. Time will tell. Just like it did with Tannehill RG3 and Luck when people declared it the new age of QB's. 33% accuracy right there. -
How many penalties on Sherman tonight?
What a Tuel replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000757782/article/richard-sherman-draws-unnecessary-roughness-fine Didn't know where to put this. Seems similar to the hit on Powell? on the last play of the monday night game. I wonder if that is why it is a "repeated offense". Video in the link. Sherman is such a punk. -
I feel like on a lot of these end zone passes, this should be called a lot more often then........ Either way, it's ridiculous. The guy does everything right and they disqualify the int because the opposing player put a finger on the ball while he was out of bounds.
-
Or how the rams lost the endzone int challenge? There was plenty of clear proof he got 3 feet in bounds. Like wtf. And if you are going to tell me that Graham touching the ball while being out of bounds makes it a dead ball, I am going to give up on football haha.

Cardinals Cut WR Michael Floyd

Not to mention suspended next year probably. At which point we will be sure to criticize Whaley for picking up a "troubled" player. -

I think most people would say you can't win without a QB, not that all you need is a QB. -
Hughes benched for spat with Rob Ryan?
What a Tuel replied to bobobonators's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ummmm Mario Williams has 9 tackles and 1.5 sacks for the fish and was benched at one point. He wasn't a scapegoat, he literally doesn't give a . As for Hughes, who knows whats going on there, but don't compare it to Mario Williams giving up. Because he actually did. -
I'd play Thomas if he is actually playing. I like Watkins as well, but you might consider Inman over him against a weak Oakland defense. Then maybe Watkins for the flex. But like you said, Gore has been great, he is a machine that has erased all doubt for me, but I know the doubt creeping in against Minnesota. I think I would be deciding between those four though, so long as they are all playing. I want to pick up Miami's D against the Jets. I have Arizona's D. The way Brees has been playing do you think that's a good idea? I would pull the trigger right on it right now if it weren't for Tannehill being out. That scares me that the Jets will get turnover points.
-
Haha, I actually did precisely that. I have just dropped Benjamin for Inman in this mornings waiver wire. I did it to block my next opponent though. My opponent dropped Benjamin two weeks ago and I picked Benjamin up. This week his WR Moncreif got injured and I figured he was looking for another WR so I swapped Inman for Benjamin just in case. I think I still play Tyrell Williams over Inman though right? As for Landry, I could see that as well. I'm leaning on benching him. What are your thoughts on Delanie Walker against a decent KC Defense that has some pass defense holes but is strong against TE's? Delanie Walker to me is more WR than TE at this point, and I think he could exploit the KC defense. Scary looking at the stats for TE's against KC though.
-
Any one of our WR's could do that. Tyrod wouldn't have seen him though
-
Funny, our interpretation of that was that Brady has an abusive relationship with Edelman, and every time Edelman makes a mistake he was scared that Brady would yell at him again. It made the 1st half fairly entertaining haha.

Which is what makes these questions so stupid. The media are looking for exactly this, for something to get people to read about the Bills. Watkins comments on Ryan's future will get clicks and so they ask him, and even though he doesn't say much, they push readers to read into it. "What is he really saying here?!?!" -

At the time of drafting Sammy, we had one year of EJ Manuel under our belt and we had reservations about him, but we were excited to see him progress in 2014. He regressed. Whaley tried to give Manuel the tools to succeed. -

The autograph thing? As much as I think that is ridiculous, Brown has control over that. Sammy gets injured and the Bills fan base explodes with venomous hate, and cut him, and ridiculous nonsense. Especially if he goes to Disney World when he's hurt. -

That has something to do with him going to a team with a legitimate qb that will help him prove himself? Watkins has elite talent that is being squandered and if we don't have a QB after we exercise the 5th year option, he is looking for options. Doesn't help that the fan base turns on him when he gets injured as if he can help it either. Most fan bases rally around their guys. Ours on them. -

What does that have to do with anything? And yes, I think his career will be fine. Imagine Matt Ryan throwing to Watkins. Or Stafford. Or anyone that will actually look downfield and throw the man the ball.
