I’m a writer. I was going to be an English teacher, but I balked after shadowing a few teachers as a junior. Also, language is living. If enough people use irregardless, it becomes part of the language. There are many examples of these words making their way into our lexicon. People are always up in arms when a word like bling or YOLO is added to the dictionary. Merriam didn’t decide that. We, as a culture, decided that. Same with irregardless.

You have to admit the ties are making the numbers a little wonky. Let's say they split in another scenario. you're talking bottom five 7-8 and top five 8-7. It's one game of consequence thus far. I'd be super curious to see what these numbers are like at week 8.

He's going to have to earn a spy. They're going to blitz him hard instead, and he'l have to respond. If he does, maybe they back off. If he hurts them with some runs, maybe they assign a guy to spy him. But, they're not doing that from play one.

Also, you want to have a nuanced conversation, and you're holding Mahomes up after 3 games as the second-coming. You know who else has been destroying these past three weeks? Ryan Fitzpatrick. The only player in NFL history to throw for 400+ yards three weeks in a row. Maybe give Mahomes a season before throwing our QB into the sea.

All of this to say you would take Mahomes, and you're neutral on Allen this year. You could've said that in one sentence. You're bewildered by the Bills fandom because they don't agree with you, think about that.

Let's not forget, Thad Lewis is defending a QB with a 0.0 passer rating, who had 2 INTs and 24 yards passing. If we drop him tomorrow, he's selling insurance by next month. No one is taking him. He's not an NFL QB. We always have these weird groups of apologists who hang on to QBs that clearly don't deserve the job anymore. It happened with EJ. It happened with Fitz. It happened with Losman. It happened with Edwards.

Peterman does not win comfortably. The biggest reason? We can't use the RPO effectively with him. That was basically half our offense. Also, my guess: he throws some INTs, he gets spooked by Vikings blitzers and throws the ball away/scrambles for minimal gains, and he doesn't see a wide open Croom down the sidelines for the TD.
