  1. And when I'm right, again, for the millionth time, maybe you'll realize that saying "anything can happen" means truly nothing at all.
  2. Of course not. No preconceived notions here: "Shaq's is just starting and was considered one of the top edges in this draft but still very good in run support and had the ability to drop into coverage. He was playing out of position this last year in RR's crappy defense where EVERYONE struggled. "
  3. Okay. Enjoy being shocked when Shaq doesn't post 14 sacks next year dude.
  4. Yes. Shaq would have to have Mario-level talent to consider the DL to have the same amount of talent as 2014. Yeah, making an educated guess rather than just using hindsight is so dumb. Tell us how they draft players again, John?
  5. What do you think is more likely: Shaq Lawson has a decent 8 sack season Shaq Lawson is the second best DE in football, posts 14.5 sacks, and is a first team All-Pro because that's the discussion I'm having, apparently with a brick wall.
  6. I'll tell you what I don't expect. An All-Pro year. I'm not saying he won't be good. It's a rare player who is dominant like peak Mario was. That's who we had in 2014. We don't have that guy in 2017. I expect that to affect our defense. I'm taking the safe bet that Shaq won't be an All-Pro this year. You think he will be?
  7. Mario is sitting on the bench because his talent is gone. But he was dominant in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Shaq is not.
  8. Shaq was a late first round pick. Mario went #1 overall and was an All-Pro player. Pretending they are even close in talent is laughable.
  9. Sign him. Trade Wood. Sign Romo.
  10. Lawson has been a huge drop off compared to pre 2015 Mario. What games are you watching? They. Are. Less. Talented. They will probably play better than 2016. That doesn't mean they're more talented.
  11. It's a 4-3. How much different from 2014 and 2013 can they look? The point was that the Bills have lost talent since 2013. Not sure that's really debatable.
  12. So then take the best QB prospect at 10, not necessarily Watson, would be your argument?
  13. Shaq < Mario Ragland ???? Brown/Bradham No Gilmore and slumping Darby < Gilmore and runner up DROY Darby/McKelvin Graham and dead AW < healthy AW and Searcy I just don't see where our talent is better than, say 2015 or 2014.
  14. Why would you not take the better QB prospect?
  15. Never draft a QB because they could be bad - Buffalo Bills motto Yes, yes, yes, yes.
  16. I think that T master's stream of consciousness posts on an implausible premise make this place feel like home.
  17. Defensively, this is probably least talented we have been since 2011.
  18. Yeah 2 4ths for Ragland and 1 for Sammy but he mentioned those, I thought.
  19. Well, if we rebuild and go 6-10 next year, aka lose one more game, it's all for naught.
  20. You asked what other picks he traded. I answered.
  21. 9-7, 8-8, 7-9. How is that anything other than getting worse?
  22. I think Doug Whaley is the worst more than anybody, but causality seems to be at play here. Do you think those winning teams have lots of comp picks because they have lots of good players and can't keep them all? Improvement? We've gotten worse.
  23. Would you argue that Kyle has not been a positive influence on Dareus?
  24. Starting to think about the road ahead is what EVERY team does John, regardless of the talent of starter. Which is why a bridge QB is nonsense. Get a guy who can play the best, and get a guy under him in case he needs to take over. Brady is 40 and you think he's not a concern to be done in the league next year?
