If Gilmore continues to play at a top 10 level for 5 years, i will certainly not praise him. I think he wants to get paid like his play and he doesn't particularly care. We've already spent a top 10 pick on him, and got a top 10 player at his position, who has been relatively healthy. That's a guy you pay. Not to mention, your newfound credit to Whales will dry up considerably when he uses another top 10 pick on a DB to shore up the secondary in the wake of his departure. I'd rather pay Gilmore and draft a QB than let Gilly go and draft Lattimore.

The reports are that GIlmore wants $14M and we offered $10M. Throw in Lorax's $2-$3M and we're basically there. It truly is an either/or situation. Paying the one-hit wonder over the consistent top 10 CB. We won't add "2 very good players" with $13M. We'll add some below average starters or vets on their last legs.

Paying Lorax while letting Gilmore walk over $2M will be the last straw for Whales.

CJ Spiller hasn't scored a rushing TD since 2013. Hasn't played a full season since 2012. Has been on 4 teams in 3 years. Hasn't rushed for over 300 yards since 2013. His highest YPC has been 3.8, in 2014. He has had Payton, Chan and whoever Seattle's OC is for the last 3 years and has been absolute trash. He sucks. The flash in the pan year was exactly that. Why this is still a discussion is crazy.
