  1. Four pages and I’m the first to admit I watch an ESPN morning show (occasionally). I watch Get Up during football season sometimes. I really like Dan Orlosky and Ryan Clark, who frequent the show. This segment on the Bears coaching was spot on and Clark was funny. I even laughed at Rex’s comments. On the Jets last week, Greenberg was funny saying, “I can’t believe I’m saying these 5 words, ‘I miss Adam Gase!’” Yes, he’s a total Jets homer but he’s very open about it.
  2. Pretty entertaining article…if you’re a Bills fan https://phinphanatic.com/2021/09/19/miami-dolphins-get-crushed-by-the-bills-and-its-not-fun/ “It started with Jesse Davis, a guy I’m told is super underrated by a select amount of doofuses, and the rest of the offensive line by Tua Tagovailoa get completely destroyed within two drives to start the game. I don’t know if Tua had a Paul Crewe-type relationship with the o-line where he made the offensive line turn on him and they just decided to let him be murdered, but Tua got crushed on the second drive and he went out with a rib injury.” I liked how he worked in The Longest Yard reference…Maybe this should be Tua’s strategy for the rest of the season:
  3. Favre was/is a complete rock head. Josh is so much more intelligent that Favre. It allows him to run a much more complex offense. Favre constantly rifled balls into tight coverage, whereas Josh consistently reads the defense and finds the open player. The only comparisons I see between these two is their competitiveness and physical ability sling the ball. Favre averaged ~27 TDs and ~18 picks a season (1.5 ratio) over 19 seasons where he was the starter. Josh averages ~22 TDs and ~10 picks a season (2.2 ratio) over just 3 seasons as a starter (and he's only just hit his stride). Granted the league was less passing oriented in Favre's day but I think Elway is a better comparison.
  4. Under the NFL’s G-4 loan program, the league will match the team’s contribution toward renovations or a new stadium. It provided ~$500M toward the Rams new SoFi stadium. So, if the Pegulas pony up $300M, the NFL will contribute $300M and the state could fund the remaining $800M of the new stadium. That’s just an example and I doubt the Bills will want to contribute much more than $200M along with a lease extension through 2026 on the existing facility.
  5. BB to unvaxxed players: “Even if you’re a borderline starter, you’re too much of an availability liability under NFL rules to take up a roster spot on this team. I can’t afford to have players miss games because of a ‘close contact’ or missed test. Cam is your poster child.”
  6. Saw that today on ESPN. Although I think this would obviously be awesome, I can't think of a rookie DE that was the NFL sack leader in the past. Maybe Lawrence Taylor? "Solomon Grundy"? Why pick a name of a character that never lived to see the Bills play on a Sunday? 😵 EdW
  7. They always show the home team broadcast for preseason games on NFLN.
  8. I’d actually put Josh up in the coaches booth with Daboll for most/all of the preseason. He needs fewer physical reps and as much strategy and defensive reads as he can get from the Master before he gets his HC gig. As the offense comes to the line Daboll could quiz Josh on what he sees and what audible he would check to throughout the games. I’ve never seen a team do this but with 4 QBs on the roster, Buffalo could afford one upstairs learning instead of on the sidelines. My 2 cents. EdW
  9. That's a lot of cantaloupes!
  10. I know Rocket Ship 7 with Dave Thomas (who is still alive) was on mornings when I was a kid. I think Commander Tom got moved to mornings in the 90s but that was long after I moved away.
  11. RIP, Rick. Tom Jolls will always be Commander Tom with the afternoon cartoons for me growing up.
  12. With the Bills’ weak run blocking, his breakaway spread will get him into the arms of a tackler in the backfield that much quicker than our 2020 RBs could. 🤪
  13. He heard the Bills have generous injury settlements...
  14. Top of the list has to be the throw by Josh to Diggs that won the Super Bowl this year in the last minute of play...Oh, crap. Sorry, I know many of you haven't seen it yet so you'll just have to take my word for it. I'm just going to get back into my DeLorean....
  15. The man has learned to keep his eyes on the passer...unlike at the combine!
  16. Yeah, it’s like they think there’s a pandemic! 🤪
  17. Given Josh's game lately, it's really hard to pick which "amazing throw" is the best each week. The two throws to Diggs were both great and showed his growing ability to put touch on throws to clear defensive players. I was actually more amazed at the two throws to Gabe Davis along the sidelines. On both throws, Allen was rolling out under pressure and dropped or rifled the ball into a place where only his guy could get it. The 2nd throw to Davis really hit me. JA was rolling left and threw an absolute dart to Davis who was surrounded by 2 defenders for a perfect "toe-tap" sideline catch. Gabe "Mr. Perimeter" Davis is starting to remind me a bit of Chris Carter ("All he does is catch TDs").
  18. My routine this year is grilling out Sahlen's hot dogs on the deck and watching the game with my son. It's been working so I'll stick with it!!
  19. I don't actually know but I'm not getting into a room with a bunch of screaming Bills Mafia under the current conditions. My guess is that, if they are open, there is very limited seating.
  20. A happy surprise to get to read this in the paper this morning. Tomorrow would have been a fun day to eat wings and beef on weck at Jimmy's Olde Town Tavern in Herndon.
  21. With the Browns losing Stefanski for this week's game vs. Pittsburgh, I think that could mean real trouble because he isn't just the head coach, he's the play caller and the "Mayfield Whisperer". This got me thinking about a similar situation arising with the Bills. So... Between the HC, OC and DC, which coach do you think we could most and least afford to lose for a single game? What about forever? For a single game, I think we can least afford to lose Dabol. Without him, I don't think Dorsey could pick up the slack just based on experience. Frasier is the obvious pick for a single game because McD has already taken over play calling duties from him on occasion. I think McDermott is more important in the long-run, IMO. The culture he created might not outlast him if he departed and Allen is at the point where a new OC that understood the system would, over time, keep the offense at a high level. Again, long term, Frasier is the easier pick to lose...and I think we get extra draft picks if someone hires him away as a HC! Opinions?
  22. The 30 second teaser for that 30 for 30 episode would encompass the entire content of the show. 🤪
  23. I also think that the Titan or Ravens have the best chance to knock off the Chiefs and give us another home field game for the AFC Title! I also want the Bears to run the table in the NFC so our Super Bowl is a walk in the park...uh...perhaps I'm taking this too far.
  24. Uh...I'm not sure you understand the protocol of online forums. You are supposed to defend your position until it become completely untenable and then devolve the thread into name calling. Under no circumstances should you ever admit any kind of error. Are you even an American? 🤪
  25. Yup, here's how ESPN describes it (https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/30646089/nfl-playoffs-super-bowl-schedule-afc-nfc-bracket-seeds-tv-s-more) Divisional round: Jan. 16, 17 No. 1-seeded Chiefs and Packers will host the lowest remaining seeds in their respective conferences.
