  1. I sure the heck wasn't, rather disappointed actually. The press conferences were like a repeat of the Beverly Hillbillies or Green Acres. Fans of this team love to put on their blinders and rose colored glasses and make excuses for the owner, GM, coach, QB, receivers, etc. Just the way they like it, make excuses and keep buying tickets and merchandise.
  2. The difference is, the Patriots were drafting low taking a chance on finding a decent backup, the Bills were drafting trying to find the quarterback of the future. Apples and oranges at best.
  3. Says the guy who fumbles himself at least one a game this year?
  4. Same exact quote could have been used about a decade ago for Donohoe also. Maybe it is more the franchise being so stellar in Pittsburgh?
  5. Of course he is, hands down. Not even close now that Al Davis is no longer with us.
  6. At least they had a game plan, would be nice if the Bills would figure out how to have one once in awhile. Was it a classy thing, probably not, but the Bills get paid big to stop it. All the people on here whining and calling Pete Carroll names, are the same people that continually look for excuses for the Bills sucking year after year and always blame the officials or someone or something else for the numerous losses. Those same people, that if it was the Bills running that fake punt would have thought it was great and criticized the whining Seahawks fans for complaining about it. Bottom line is the Bills got it handed to them, that fake punt had zero effect on the outcome of the game. Get over it and focus on the real problem, the Bills organization from top to bottom.
  7. If you were a player like Byrd or LeVitre who will get a big contract wherever they go, here or somewhere else, would you want to stay here and be another Aaron Schobel or Chris Kelsay and spend an entire career not even getting close to the playoffs? I don't think I would. Money is nice, but if you can get it from multiple teams, most of them much better then the Bills will be in our lifetimes, I think I would bolt too, I can't blame them.
  8. Just wonder if football even comes up in the conversations?
  9. Exactly. Who got the first pick in the past draft? The Colts did because they were the worst team in the NFL. What did they do, they got a quarterback and a new head coach, both things that the Bills desperately need. They also got rid of a bunch of talent that was reaching the end of usefulness. Where are they now? Double digit wins and headed for the playoffs. In today's NFL there is no guarantee that it takes 3 or more years to turn a franchise around, the franchise just hast to "really" want to turn it around.
  10. Apparently he felt we didn't need a QB because we had Fitz and Thigpen, then Tarvaris Jackson. It wasn't until recent weeks that he even gave a hint that he still wasn't convinced that Fitz was taking this team to the promised land.
  11. You might be on to something, maybe they are spies, they sure the heck aren't very good football coach and quarterback.
  12. Totally agree, if anything this organization is in worse shape then it was when he got here "with a plan", what a joke. The only player he drafted that should even be on a Pro Bowl ballot is Spiller, and I am not sure he should get in. Just about any good player on this team, drafted or free agent, with the exception of Mario, was here before Nix arrived. He has pretty much bungled 3 drafts now. Has made the QB position a joke-where the F is Tarvaris Jackson? He traded a multiple 1,000 running back, who is what, 2nd in the NFL in yards this year, and headed to the Pro Bowl and probably the playoffs. He has passed over so many good QBs for players like Aaron Williams and T.J. Graham. He brought in a head coach that nobody in the NFL wanted as a coordinator much less a head coach. Alot of us aren't surprised, since when the signing happened I thought, how many people in any profession get their "Big Break" in their 70's? Not many unless you get hired by the clueless Buffalo Bills. Not saying I don't agree with your points, they are valid, but I also sometimes think that on a team that continually wins 5-7 games a year, how many players do you want to bring back? Will the same players bring the same results? Just a thought.
  13. Who gives a crap, it is professional football, not high school or little league. These players are getting paid millions of dollars to stop them, it is their job.
  14. I think it was your conclusion, my conclusion, the announcer's conclusion and everyone else's conclusion. This whole regime needs to go, so freaking tired of their lies, inabilities-not to mention their deer in the headlights look that they have 23 hours a day.
  15. My guess is his name has never come up because he has never coached nor shared the desire to coach? If you can't get Kelly, I think Trent Edwards might be available at the end of the season? Heck, now that you think about it, Fitz might be a better coach then he is a quarterback-oh wait, I would be a better coach then Fitz is a quarterback. Nevermind.
  16. Does it matter? Will Ralph even remember the conversation 10 minutes later? He is a stubborn old coot, and if the past decade hasn't convinced him, then what will?
  17. Totally agree Throw the checkbook at Polian and give him complete and total control, and things have to get better (can they get worse?). If you hire Polian, I think the chance of the Bills luring in a "real" NFL head coach greatly improve. Who wants to come here the way it is? All we will get is another unwanted, unsuccessful retread like Gailey or an unproven coordinator, and that works about 10% of the time in this league.
  18. Byrd will get some big offers from good teams too, if he gets that far into free agency. He will get the bucks no matter, so he might want to bolt for an organization that has a chance to win before he retires. Can you blame him?
  19. Brandon Lloyd isn't the Patriots #1, ask Brady if he would rather have Stevie or Wes Welker? A #1 is one who rarely ever drops passes, has the size and strength to jump and wrestle the football away from defenders. Someone who the whole world knows the QB will be going to in clutch situations, yet he still gets it done. Stevie is a really good receiver, but I agree with the previous posts in that he is a really good #2, not a top line #1 receiver, not close.
  20. Never said he lost it all by himself, but he sure the heck did his share, and usually his share of losses is more then it was yesterday. But like I said, never fails, but the ball in his hands in crunch time and here comed the pick, at least 75% of the time, if not more.
  21. I don't think that Fitz or Gailey would actually say an excuse like that out loud so others could hear it. Silly? That throw was vintage Fitz, over and over, when the Chip's are on the table, he throws dumb interceptions. Never fails.
  22. CJ has improved some, but yea, he is pretty bad in pass protection. I am a huge Fred Jackson fan, but I still think CJ should have gotten more carries then the few he had. You don't need to pass protect to hand him the ball?
  23. Exactly. He has always dropped as many or more passes then any other WR in the league, but this year, yea-Gator Arms is a good description.
  24. If I am not mistaken, he had a key fumble in that game, but he didn't have a chance to try to end the game on an interception, the Offensive Genius Head Coach brought in Brad Smith to do it that game. Fitz could go to Arizona next year, about the only place in the league where he could go and it wouldn't be a downgrade.
  25. Not just talking about ducking, I would too, but he lets so many passes go through his hands lately, and it appears he is hearing footsteps whether real or phantom.
