We are favored because of the homefield (as empty as it will be). Both teams are a soup sandwich, so the edge goes to the homefield. Pretty sad, when neither team would be favored against University of Buffalo, but since they play each other someone has to I guess.

Not sure how you would be the one that makes that decision, but anyone that actually thinks that would happen has a portion of their brain that isn't working properly, probably which ever part of the brain that controls common sense. If my memory serves me correctly, he also said Marshawn Lynch wasn't on the trade block when he started against Green Bay and was traded a couple days later. You can't believe anything Nix says. He lies through his teeth trying to say what people want to hear.

That's not even a dream, more of a ridiculous fantasy. Just one question though, Chan Gailey as OC. He more or less is now, at least he calls the plays, so why would you want him. The offensive play calling has been putrid all year. We also had Dick Lebeau here not that long ago as an assistant, they didn't even make him the DC.

You know you are correct, and that just shows you the completely sorry state of depth the Bills have at QB. Their starter is an average backup at best, the others may not even be anything more then a clipboard holding #3.

Not sure why people keep saying negative stuff about Sheppard? Is he great no. Has he made more plays over the past 8 or so weeks then any other linebacker? Without a doubt. I would at least keep him as a backup, but he would start until you replace the other two LBs.

The way Nix has screwed up 3 drafts, traded away successful players, hired coaching staffs, lied to fans and media, oh and his "3 year plan", that has failed miserably, he doesn't deserve his job much less the right to choose a new coach. He needs to go and fast. And Jon Gruden took over Dungy's team in Tampa Bay the very first year and won a Super Bowl, what is your point?

What was the point period of giving up a draft pick for someone who has never been active on gameday and will be gone after this season? Are the Bills that good that they just give away draft picks for nothing? Or is our GM completely clueless? I go with the second option.

You would think so, but with alot of this fanbase, so starved for a winner, the team can just throw money at a big name (i.e., Mario Williams, Terrell Owens, etc.) and the tickets will fly out of the ticket office window. Such a truly loyal, enthusiatic but gullible fanbase.

The only coach with previous NFL Success that will come here if Fitz is still the quarterback is Mike Martz. Announcing the game against the Rams a few weeks ago, Martz sounded like he wanted to have Fitz's baby.

I totally agree. It seems that they thought that if you threw mid range to top money at Fitz he would become a top quarterback. Well, heck, if that works give the defense more money. When after 3 years of drafting, all they took a shot on was a 7th rounder from the NFL quarterback factory of Troy, you are correct, absolutely no excuses.

Now they have another excuse for Fitz's pathetic play this year and reason to bring him back. "He didn't have his most reliable receiver for the last game and a half."

I agree he has been the best linebacker on this team, at least for the past 6-8 games or so, and that isn't saying much giving up 40-50 points a game. It shows you how far away this team is, a list of 25 players that should be cut, and replaced with 8 or 9 draft picks?

Now that you say that, maybe we can take up a holiday collection fund and get him some spare change to eat with?

I have no doubt you are correct, but how many of the busts have went elsewhere and shined? Maybe it does take more then 3 years on occasion, but improvement should at least be accomplished, not regression.

I feel ya brother. I have lived in Virginia for 20 years almost, and retired from the Navy down here. It is Redskin and Steelers/Cowboys/Patriots bandwagon territory. For years people would rag on me at sports card shows, at work, etc. now they really don't, and I think they do feel sorry for me, knowing how Die Hard I am. Even the local Bills Backers Club that I was in for years here until I got Sunday Ticket pretty much disbanded this past year, and they were around before I even moved here. Sad state of affairs being a Bills fan.

I still think that was payback for someone mentioning Cowher's name as being associated with the Bills. He got us on that one if it is so.

Maybe your friend could take Buddy Nix's job then, can't do any worse.
