  1. For obvious reasons 2017, and 19, but 2004 at least we had hope. I know we lost with our starters to the Steelers back ups, but our O Line as Ross Tucker has said more than once, they were down to scrubs off the streets as everyone was hurt. If we just could have beaten them, who knows. Maybe Mularkey could have rolled with Bledsoe, and had more time vs. the debacle that ensued. I don’t hate Mularkey like a lot of older guys here. He pulled off a slew of wins that season after starting 0-3. Bottom line is we have the potential for a head coach and GM to not only with McD through 2025, but alsoBeane coming soon the same thing. Then I’m dreaming now, but we extend another five years and the gang is together a minimum of 13 years and growing. As MLK said and yes a bad reference, that we keep these two here for the next 17 years and are a perennial playoff team.
  2. Very good point GB. The downside is it is relatively widely known Ramsey is very good, but White is known to be even better. The upside is we have just under $20 mil. in cap space ranked 13th, and the Rams are the 31st with $4 mil. Now, we know already it is almost a given the cap hits the floor at $175 mil. so Ramsey getting a jump from the current top player at $16.7 moving all the way up to $19 mil. is a stretch. There are other reasons, but Diggs shook free for not only his behavior, but they were tight on space and picks. Beane as always finds a way to pry a top tier WR free. Well the Rams won’t have $, Ramsey’s been good, but will they shake a bunch of players free to keep him. As it was they had to give a lot of picks for him from Jax. I don’t know. You do make a good point GB.
  3. Bills to Pay, thanks for the find, and Oliver and Williams are most likely here for a practice squad slot. One thought from the Sirius training camp show yesterday stuck out on the Beane slot. He said to Pat and Mills in this odd off season, they proactively signed a number of veteran free agents to provide depth and needed position groups. His rationale was he needs guys that can come in and use their experience to contribute to the team. In a normal year, we would be working out more UDFA and can find some gems. I’m paraphrasing, but he has prepared in this off season for not only a three deep option at each position group, but also in all three phases of coaching, so who is option 1, 2, and 3 on who calls the game given a positive test for COVID. It was a revealing interview and gave a little more info. (Nothing earth shattering) than we typically get on a WGR interview. For those who have on their phone the Bills camp tour is now up on demand on Sirius. I do appreciate the article link, and just shows Beane is always looking ahead and staying ahead of problems.
  4. Milton, I did a quick search the other day and Darius Slay is the highest at $16.7 mil., and Byron Jones at $16.5 mil., lastly Xavien Howard at $15.5 mil. James Bradbury is fourth at $14.5 mil. So that’s a big leap for Tre in a year and a decreased cap year at $20.5 mil./yr. What is more likely is $18 mil./yr for $72 mil. If I’m in his camp, this is a rare situation where he might want to stay on the 5th year option before an extension as he is more likely to get it in two years the $72 mil. By 2021, you would think we should have the fan issue resolved. If they extend while on the option year over five years it stretches the $ out and brings the $18 mil. lower. There is no way this Bills team is going to let one of the best players on defense in the league go especially when they have a defense built from the back forward like BB constructed in NE.
  5. Some people are overthinking it. They didn’t draft Moss because DS fumbled although a problem. Remember on the Giants when Barber fumbled early in his career and his coach worked with him on his security skills with the ball. Barber had a bad habit of holding with his hand and having it too far away from the inside of the elbow. If you remember McCoy would hold the ball sometimes too far away from the secure spot which always made me nervous, but he rarely fumbled. It’s a bad habit of mine as I played LB, but also RB. I also coached my sons in flag, then tackle football for awhile so I’m used to teaching fundamentals to young boys. If DS can get that ball secured better, the punching out or just plain fumbling will decrease. Moss is a great compliment and forget about Covid, RB’s get hurt so to have two quality ones will make it easier to keep the ground game going. I’m happy for the pick, and glad we don’t have to worry about a contract extension for three to four years. Juxtaposed, I don’t see DS having anything to worry about Moss supplanting him. Motor will probably be seen a lot between the 20’s, and Moss Should get more time on 3rd and 1, or in the red zone.
  6. They are not paying $10 mil. which is what he wants for a slot CB or Safety given Dr. Poyer and Mr. Hyde. So$9-10 mil. for a slot CB. No thanks guys. He’s a good player and those who are light at Safety, ok, but he’s played CB, not Safety, and paying that $ for those positions can be reserved for those weak in Secondaries. That is our best position group adding all. It is too bad, but respect his decision Gaines didn’t stay as when he is healthy, he’s good. He didn’t. Moving on. We’re not getting at the end of August some top outside CB. It’s not happening. Oh, and I just heard on NFLR White didn’t allow 1 TD In 2019, and the DB’s did not allow 1 deep TD from their secondary overall.
  7. For those interested, Dawkins up next.
  8. I was hoping for our non Sirius TSW guys, we could give them updates. Motor’s interview was cool on his friendly competition with Moss, and he being impressed with him. Allen mentioned he was impressed everyone else was cleaned up eating and he saw G. Davis still out working on the jugs machine so more on the Davis love fest. We’ll see. Im listening now and Pat is saying Deshawn Watson has 10 game winning drives, Allen 8 in less years, and Bridgewater, 6. Pretty cool stuff. I have a little time today so I’ll update just play mini Yolo given the guys that don’t have the service.
  9. Yeah, I didn’t want to burst you’re bubble this morning, but they’ve doing all of these virtually. It’s not far off from Sal and the local guys I think are doing their interviews and podium press conferences virtually. The NFL didn’t allow them on campuses. I haven’t heard them at any of the ones I listen to as normally I go to the gym at 5 or 5:30am every morning so I listen to the day before training camp show on the way to and from the gym. You can tell as in the past you can hear all of the background noise in past years. I was able to catch these two a couple of years ago at their Tampa stop. Kirwan lives in Naples, so he always does the Tampa one, but in the past was it an open practice on that day or not. Correct Disco. That’s why I connect my car Accts to my sons car so we both get to listen to the show.
  10. Beane’s on talking about a three deep plan for coaches and position players and the desire to pick up more veteran free agent depth vs. a normal year where it’s a UDFA rookie.
  11. Good Grief? You’ve been watching Charlie Brown specials with you’re kids again. ????
  12. Stank if you have the app, just look toward the bottom right for the search button. You’ll find it bud.
  13. Yes, nasty. You download the app, and if you paid the extra couple $ for the capability to listen on you’re phone or iPad, then you just do a search. I think there is a training camp section and should be up by morning. My current vehicle doesn’t have it as I run it through my oldest son’s car as he lives the station as well. This way I just listen through my phone or on work trip have it on my iPad while in the hotel at night. There is a delay so for example if they had Movin the chains today, it would be on demand typically tomorrow morning. Every once in a while it’s a little delayed, but this is not normal. I hope it helps my friend.
  14. Hey for those of you who can’t make it today, as I’m only going to be able to listen to part, I really like the audio on demand option as they take out all of the commercials, so a 3 hr. Is only maybe 2 hrs., 15 minutes.
  15. Stank, they say is the new 40. 50 new 40.
  16. Don, that is definitely a possibility as I used to coach and that is one way to try and distract the QB. It can also be he messed up on the previous play the snap count, or a few other things. It could be to signal him to change his intended target and say the third tap is Davis on this one va. Diggs who is one, and Brown is two. Like I said, I didn’t see it, but I’ll defer to you Don as you know football.
  17. Meanwhile, back at the ranch if you want to go or travel to go and take that risk, I don’t care as I won’t, and think it’s stupid to have fans as it is an increased risk. You don’t go and you enjoy from the comfort of you’re own home or socially distanced at a sports restaurant, great. The biggest risk I would take is to maybe go to a nearby Wild Wings as they have the ticket, you have to wear a mask unless you have food in front of you and seating is far apart. I still contend this will get shut down by governors soon enough when fans in seats is somehow leaked to positive tests as it doesn’t just affect the person, but everyone they infect thereafter. I do my best to be a considerate person and as much as I don’t want to get sick, I would feel terrible if I were to get others sick simply due to my selfish desire to go to a game when there are alternatives. That’s my opinion. I just don’t want to continue with the never ending debates over the disease rates etc. Do you’re homework and believe what you want.
  18. Out, Duke, Foster, and Hauschka are gone. I don’t know if you can characterize anyone as flashes as there are no pre-season games so you only get these little blurbs from camp, and the beat reporters can’t really say much Or elude to position battles, etc. I understand why, and the rules this year makes sense, but how do you really come up with an accurate assessment.
  19. Royal, you realize she’s 50 right? Maybe she does, but she obviously hasn’t seen what Allen’s girlfriend looks like. Hapless, I didn’t see the play so not sure on the three taps. Could be a few different things.
  20. Agreed GB. If we hit on Davis and Hodges, we have a nice future in our WR Corp. and are bigger so even this year, there will probably be packages for them like when we are in the red zone. They are faster than Duke by what I’ve seen, and they can most likely Be nice big targets along with Knox or maybe a healthy Kroft. The jury is out for me on Kroft as I’ve not seen him healthy. I don’t know if he has great hands or not. It would be great for Allen to have some nice targets with long wingspans inside the 10 yard line. We really added depth this off season, and next year I keep reading there is a deep TE class so if we hit on one of those next year, the rich will get richer. We can also add some cheap DE, and CB talent.
  21. It kind of doesn’t matter as there is nothing that can be done about it for all 32 starting QB’s are dealing with the same problem. Even 20 year veterans like Brady, Rivers of 17 years are on new teams. Rookie QB’s are going to be most challenged as their first pro football snap is in their first real game. Then there are QB’s that have little if any coordination with these shiny new rookie WR’s. At least Allen is very used to Brown, Beasley, Singletary, Knox, and he has a two time 1000 yard pro the last two years in Diggs. Enough the building in of excuses by a few. The glass is half full not empty.
  22. I like Rivers and he has played behind crappy lines for years. He probably with a better line in Indy and some weapons will probably have a decent year. The Bills would never pick up Rivers as it would ###### Allen’s growth and McBeane believe in Allen. Indy was a good spot for Rivers as Brissett showed he is a very good back up, but nothing close to what they had in Luck. Indy it doesn’t look they were ready for him to retire. Seemed to shock everyone. Now they have at least two years to find a QB in the draft. Just give Allen the benefit of hope he will keep getting better. I am.
  23. If it helps Weo, I have a number of friends in medical device sales and it has sucked in FL for the lack of elective procedures. It a,so has been tough on patients as things that might not be life saving, but their QOL is less because they can’t get several procedures stinks. I did think McD was flamed yesterday on NFLR for his comments, and that tool Weiss was leading the charge. I didn’t think it was that bad, but uncharacteristically not smart for someone like McD who usually is very smart in his dealings with the media.
  24. Don’t forget we also face the Jets, Dolphins, Rams, and Raiders to start the season so it’s not like we start with the Seahawks, 49ers, Chiefs, and Patriots.
  25. Using third round picks two years in a row that compliment each other, and cheap labor in a position that burns out younger in most cases as they get beat up. It was a great idea considering we used free agency and trades to put a solid WR Corp.
