I originally thought Shakir and Oliver, but I’m warming on defense it’s Bernard

I woke up this morning and the first thing I saw was my wife stub her toe on the end of the bed. She was in agony but when she caught me laughing she looked just like Mahomes after the Bills game.
Good times
Did she sound like this?
Making fun of Beaker, I mean Mahomes never gets old. -

This is likely going to ruffle some feathers around here. Every year there are guys stats that overstate their performance. I think that is year it is Kincaid. This is less about his ability and more how he was used most of the season. This past game we finally saw him going downfield where he should be. He is not Cole Beasley who will catch and pass and quickly turn up field for the extra yards squeezing through guys, he is not a monster TE that will catch a pass and run guys over for 5 yards. Yet he was primarily used in that capacity racking up easy catches but limited yards or impact. Below are some comps from the other starting TE's around the league.
Yards per rec
Kincaid 8.9
Kittle 15.7 tops amongst TE's
Most starters are in the 10-11 range
TD
Kincaid 2
LaPorta is top at 9
Many others have 5-6. Kincaid at the low end with 2
1st Downs
Kincaid 26
Kelce 51 tops amongst TE's
Most with similar rec numbers are in the 30's and 40's. Kincaid is low end.
Average Depth of Target
Kincaid 5.8 yards
Pitts is tops at 11.4 yards; Kittle is at 9.4 yards
Most are in the 6-7 range, though some in the 5's with Kincaid at the low end.
Yards after Catch
Kincaid 4.3 yards
Kittle and Njoku at 7.4 yards are tops
Many are in the 4-6 range with Kincaid at the low end.
Broken Tackles
Kincaid 3
McBride is at 10 and Njoku and LaPorta are at 9
Many other from 2-7 range. Kincaid at low end.
This is not a Kincaid sucks post. This is a they are confused in how to use him post and lets not celebrate his # of rec's stats. He is not a throw it to and watch him run over or around guys like he is being used. He is a tall lanky TE that should be going down the same and catching contested passes. Most NFL caliber players could replicate Kincaid catches or they would be out the league. He can and should do more and I want to see that from him...like we saw some of last week. I am happy he broke some reception records blah blah, but lest see them cut him loose.
NG, he’s a rookie. Most TE’s don’t come out if the gate fast, and there’s only one ball. The first half of the year, Diggs was getting the bulk of the throws. The last four weeks Kinkaid and Knox are sharing receptions. We’ve also had our running game take off. Maybe you’ve played or coached football, but stats lie. -
31-21 Bills. We contain Hill as he’s hobbled, Waddle is most likely out, as well as Mostert. Maybe they play, but they are banged up.
They also won’t have Jalen Phillips, and a couple others on defense.

If it was JUST about home/road I'd consider it depending on how badly sore he is. But this is about quality of opponents too. We need to be able to avoid Baltimore in the second round.
Correct. We win and everyone knows we’re the 2nd seed, amd get two home playoff games before we face Baltimore. We need to pull out all the stops to win. Josh running, fake reverses, literally whatever it takes and get Diggs the darn ball. -

OK, here is mine: I will not be attending. They have a miserable win rate when I am present in the last couple of decades.
Bad mojo Augster. -

It’s funny as I’m listening to Paul Alexander, who is a line coach for almost 40 years. He does a spot each week on MTC on NFLR. He likes the Bills O Line more than the Fins D Line. He banged on Von Miller which was well deserved. Alexander states PFF rates linemen Green, Blue, Orange, and Red. Surprisingly S. Brown as a blue. Orange on Torrence, and a Blue on Dawkins.
Im still on the WR train.

Interestingly, Tua has not played in a playoff game in his 4 NFL seasons.
Yes, any QB would be ecstatic to have wideouts like Hill and Waddle... and a running attack like the Dolphins.
Those things are a platform for QB success.
I wouldn't be surprised if Waddle and Mostert played against the Bills but regardless we have a big advantage on the injury report.
Yeah, usually if they don’t practice the entire week, it’s doubtful, but we’ll find out. -
Well Waddle I think is ruled out, and Hill is hobbled. Most likely a heavy dose of Achan. Mostert is out as well or at least hasn’t practiced all week.
They also have I believe Jalen Smith, and Chubb probably not playing. We have a good chance as we’re pretty darn healthy. I know Hamlin, but he’s a backup.

You guys have fun. I have some work things going on. I can’t make it this year, but sounds there is a ton of you there.

Oliver and Shakir. Shakir has been a pleasant surprise.

Listen, I know how important the #2 seed can be. I don't want to downplay that at all. However, if some of these reports out there are true and Josh is battling an injury that needs rest, would it make more sense to give Josh, and maybe some others, the week off? I'm sure Hyde's neck could use a break too.
I'm sure this will get me flamed, but if playing on the road for the playoffs means that Josh is even 20% healthier, is that worth it?
I'm not saying I would. Maybe play him for a bit and see how he feels. But I care more about a healthier Josh because we don't win without him. (Minus the Dallas game)
Virg, you know I like you, but my humble opinion is he plays until we beat Miami. I spoke live with Donuts about this point, I wouldn’t pull him until we’re up by three touchdowns with less than 4 minutes left in the game. Then just run Cook.- 2

Hey if he’s injured, but not worthy of reporting, its really none of our business. Shakir has played great this year, so has Cook, and Gabe even had one decent game.
-
Bones heal. He’s tough. He’ll be ok

I hope they sign Tua. The best thing for the Bills. Josh will beat his ars all day long for the next decade.
-
I’m down with Jeremy and taking two WR’s along with a safety or two. Extend the contracts that are needed.

Both Douglas and Joseph have been excellent trades. Now we have Jones back which basically puts Ford, and Settle on the bench. We’ve gone from this on the line to fantastic depth. Ford and Settle could start for half the teams in the NFL.

Josh is overrated.
So many consider him a top QB or even "mvp" but in reality he's not at that level.
Inconceivable. Plato, Socrates, NJK, .. MORONS.The only thing dumber than a land war in Asia, is messing with a Josh Allen when death is on the line…

I’m guessing they ease him in during the Cheats game to get back in a rhythm, and we’ll get a steady dose of him for the Fish. They need to be squished.

Sucks if they blindsided him with this, but I'll say he has really dropped off over the last couple of years. Happens to the best of 'em and he's a legend at his craft.
Yep Edog. He’s in the same ballpark as Frank Gifford, Dandy Don, John Madden, Pat Summerall and the great…
The legend that is Howard.

Remove Divisions in NFL
in The Stadium Wall
Posted
Ijust started reading this thread, and you’re right MJS. Even the Bucs will end up with a winning record. The NFL will never make the change suggested. Whether anyone agrees with it, the cold hard reality is the league likes having divisions and their rivalries.
