  1. ...and on the other hand it gives him one more "contract year." Do you expect him to get #1 $$$ based on last year's performance? Or maybe he just expected to be tagged after the season, so he didn't worry about "auditioning..." (or perhaps he "tried too hard.").
  2. No, it's true, he will be tagged. I just saw Marv stalking his way through Orchard Park with a tranquilizer gun....
  3. You mean the side opposite the "truth" that we already "know?"
  4. Yeah, and that's besides the fact that it's up to American Sports Journalism to validate the existence of something as a sport. So they take a break away from important sports like poker and competitive eating for three weeks... Nevermind that there are world cup circuits in all of these sports, and in many countries the top participants in these "non-sports" are superstars in their home countries before they even go to the Olympics... Probably fell off the T-Bar the one time he tried going skiing... On the subject, I saw Shani's post-medal interview and he actually smiled...once. Also noted that NBC sent a black journalist to do the interview...
  5. So if they can't carry nukes then they aren't even as powerful as one of our whimpy Predator drones...?
  6. Hey, fine, you appreciate the value he brings to the wall with thought-provoking material like this and this. I don't. I guess that makes me feeble-minded.
  7. Well at least the original poster didn't say who on the American team won gold and silver...
  8. ...or "find a home on the range..."
  9. Well, it's getting killed because Americans aren't sweeping all the events, and a number of "bad" things happened early on (the worst from a ratings perspective being Kwan dropping out, then the Americans generally being "slow out of the gate"). And tell me what events are going on at 3am that can be shown live in Prime Time? It's kind of a Catch-22: don't tape delay and you'll have nothing when most people watch...And of course the "shrouded" at best advertising goes without saying. I know they were expecting 12-14 average ratings over the Olympics and last I knew they were still falling in that range... I'm going to watch any way, it just takes away from the excitement a little. What really killed me was the men's snowboard-cross results, because even knowing who won I was still kinda at the edge of my seat...just would have been a little more fun not knowing...
  10. It's amazing that I have managed to not go one day without having one prime-time event "spoiled." Mostly by news agencies (funny that I stopped reading CNN due to the spoilers, but then went over to MSNBC and sure enough...they had spoiler article titles on the front page too...). I guess I'll have to stop coming here until after the games as well... I know it's my fault for watching the stuff in 'prime time,' instead of turning the antenna and watching most of it live on CBC, but I don't have OTA TIVO, and that's the only way I'm even watching the prime-time stuff...
  11. Well, certainly if Zep, Aerosmith, Van Halen, and Whitesnake are considered "metal," then the Purple should as well, and I'd agree on Gillan being missing. However, I don't (I think they're all "hard rock") so I put my vote in for Dickinson.
  12. But you had 9 hours 49 minutes yesterday to wish him a happy birthday...do you type that slow?
  13. THEN GO HERE
  14. Happy Birthday to our resident racist! Too bad you don't drink beer, or I'd buy you one! and congrats to your team (and player), Lisa!
  15. I was just thinking the same thing, and trying to figure out what "fool's gold" has to do with Dick Jauron, except that maybe the "fool" is Marv, and Jauron looked golden to him...or maybe something referring to the "golden boys" (I preferred Geritol Twins myself ) reference...Ah, yes, Pyrite Gal="Fool's Golden Girl"...
  16. Other stuff: You too can get shot... or join his gun club.
  17. A bunch of radio stations rushed to make their own versions, but these guys are pros: http://www.bobrivers.com/ Even have a video for it...
  18. Whaddya think? Customer service forum?
  19. Don't need Bills Digest as long as we have Soprano here to provide us with the "inside scoop."
  20. Level 3 is tough, but beatable. Couldn't do it with the laptop's track pointer, but was able to finish it with an external optical mouse. Really have to watch closely though when you're going through the narrow part...the audio cues really help too.
  21. Speaking of which (Scout "employees," not good writers), I just noticed now that Weiler is off the "Scout.com network." His last article for them was last March. I see he has another site where he's posting his usual drivel though...
  22. Well, if you had followed K-Dog's suggestions, you would have known that you weren't alone.
  23. Yup. He brought the Cup to Rochester...made a side trip to Bathtub Billy's with it before his "officially scheduled" time at the Greece Ridge Mall. WRT the game, 3-0 good guys, looks like it's between the 2nd and 3rd???
