  1. No wonder why you're hardly ever around...
  2. That's the song I was thinking of when I mentioned what the boy's name was. I hadn't heard it in a while, so I didn't realize that "Sean" was not referred to by name until the very end...that would be an easy edit.
  3. Shout song, Bills' style....duh! Start 'em young! Any songs out there that play off the kid's name?
  4. I'll watch the cheeseball fantasy movies: Beastmaster, Conan, Krull, Dragonheart....
  5. Panda experts interviewed by the Xinhua news agency said it might have been hunting for "Mr. Right" as she was of puberty age. Trying to catch a flight to Rochester, perhaps...?
  6. All part of TD's master plan...
  7. Sadly, I remember it. Painful to watch a second time...My kids are watching Boomerang now, from the good (Looney Tunes, original Scooby Doo) to the not so good (Snorks, Pup Named Scooby Doo, Robonic).
  8. It should have been the #1 overall plus a starting LT who will work at the same salary cap cost as Travis....
  9. That's only partially true. In any of these events (bowling, golf, track and field, swimming, etc) personal bests are nice but you are generally playing to be at least 0.00001% better than the #2 guy. Think someone who wins the Olympic Gold Medal in the 100M is upset if he doesn't get his personal best time? Think Tiger's upset winning the British Open if he doesn't have his best score ever? Look at Swede's definition....
  10. That theme starts, and wherever the kids are, whatever they are doing, their eyes become affixed to the TV. My youngest almost gave herself whiplash last night. Like the pied piper...
  11. Didn't they just used a portion of Sousa's "Stars and Stripes Forever," done up carousel style?
  12. But but it's on ESPN, and it requires skill, so it has to be a sport...
  13. It's a sad life when the most prestigious voices in your head are a group of pro sports "league insiders." I guess at least we should be glad that they are mostly benign voices...
  14. Here's the one I use: http://www.reversephonedirectory.com/
  15. Do you suppose that, if he had lost, they would have sent the ad to Africa..?
  16. So far it has been great. It has responded well to everything I asked of it. I don't quite get the boost I'm used to when passing, but I'm used to V6's anyway, so any fuel-efficient four-banger would be lacking. I decided against Civic because of the interior size (the Prius mid-size interior is big enough to put the kids in the back seat without them automatically kicking my seat), in the end the only major runner-up was the Matrix/Vibe, but it had too much of the "4 cylinder noise/vibration." The Prius has some of that noise when accelerating from stop, but once the CVT "shifts" and the engine revs back down it's a nice, quiet ride. Handles highway speeds with ease, and no, it hasn't stalled. (TSB applied to cars made up to the month before mine was built). Thanks for asking!
  17. 2005 Toyota Prius. Averaging 46.25 MPG over the first 3000 miles (nearly 2 months)... Also have a 2000 Pontiac Montana.
  18. They're HUUUUUUGE in Buffalo too. Grand Island to be more specific.
  19. The greatest commercial ever (according to the web site) can be found at the bottom of this page: http://www.i-mockery.com/minimocks/commercial/ I found it rahter absurd myself...
  20. So these "other players" "out-skilled" a bunch of pros, including all the previous champs?
  21. She heard the "Royal Gooser" Nick might be there...
  22. Those aren't the plans that I heard about...
  23. Yeah, I had seen the developmentally disabled condition as a "setup." In other words, not any 10 year old kid can walk into Shanahan's office and be offered "any job." Put a helmet on the kid and you have instant setup. Cheap way out perhaps but, as you say, the joke is in the signings, not the kid's mental capacity. They didn't go out of their way to denegrate the kid...take the helmet off and the same behavior would have been reasonable for a kid his age, and it would have been as funny to me, except why the heck did he get the opportunity in the first place?
  24. There are some very funny movie quotes on TSW. Sorry, but I don't think this is one of them. I guess none of you has ever had a friend or relative or worked with someone who suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder. You have been blessed - be thankful.
