  1. If true, looks like they are trying to get him whacked. Moved Tommy to a prison with a large muslim population. https://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/247445
  2. Just a theory but I have always thought that's what a lot of these mass shootings are caused by. Either weird effects by the drugs or going off them.
  3. We saw it on Sunday. Movie oozes quality but not without a couple flaws that keep it from being an 8 or 9 out of 10 for me. First of all, the acting is top notch. Toni Collette is about as powerful a performance that I have seen in a while. The dinner scene made me so uncomfortable only because it was so convincing. I don't think I've ever seen her ever mail in an acting job. She is as solid as it gets. Oscar-worthy IMHO. But Hollywood and the Oscars, being what they are, there is no chance because it's a horror flick. They are full of shite anyway who cares what they do. This is not to say the rest of the cast is average. Certainly not. The son is very good and equally convincing. The daughter is as creepy as it gets. I wish she was in it more! Second, I guess due in large part to the acting, the movie is very immersive. The music score is effective but not overbearing setting the atmosphere. It's well shot and well lit. Third is the refreshing lack of cheap jump scares. Unless I'm missing something I don't think there was a single one in the entire movie. It relies on good storytelling, acting and delayed gratification. It is a slow burn but I appreciated that. Very effective, think the original Alien. First half of the flick does move slow but it was so well done that was not a negative. Now the knock. The ending. For me, which you wouldn't think considering the slower pacing of the movie, the ending seemed kinda rushed and convoluted at the same time. They didn't seem to put the same care bringing it all together as they did the rest of the movie. Even considering this, the movie has so much going for it I would recommend it pretty highly. I so wanted to give this one a 8.5 or 9 but the conclusion of it keeps it at a 7.5. If you like horror flicks it is a must see.
  4. Did a final autopsy/toxicology report come back on this yet? Just curious. What's a little strange to me is all reports that I have seen point to him being in a good place. One of those things that don't add up.
  5. nah..that photo just struck me very oddly. She is so weak but acts like she is some sort of Queen. Maybe she is of the ******* masses across Europe. Not on this side of the water though.
  6. omg look at that evil hag Merkel looking down on Trump pissed off that he isn't going along with their "destroy the west at all costs" agenda. What a POS she is. Where are the hell the men over there? Are there any? They have to have this soulless mutt as their leader?
  7. Agree to a point. But Barry was actually much worse than Chamberlain. I would rather have a wimpy bury your head in the sand guy than someone that actually acts like an enemy agent.
  8. I never could play any shooter on a console. I compare it to driving an RC car to really driving a car. Going through a 3rd party controller is just too awkward. Had lots of fun playing Unreal Tournament, Team Fortress, Left For Dead and various iterations of Battlefield and Rainbow 6. Never could warm up to Call Of Duty. Thought it was to progression upgrade based.
  9. I have a Repo Man DVD set that comes with the DVD movie of course. It also has the soundtrack cd. The coolest thing is it's a tin that's shaped and looks like a California license plate.
  10. Pretty talented. Always liked them.
  11. Pay a few scheckles a month for the effort!
  12. Love "Repo Man" from the 80s. Suicidal Tendencies reminded me of it. I will try to one up SinceThe70s.
  13. Great idea. I would subscribe and do the Patreon thing as well. Would be good entertainment.
  14. Yeah it kinda goes with the territory of being lame for so long. I thought that making the playoffs last year would gave us a few point increase though.
  15. That's how you know it's all bullshite. It doesn't make sense they would be attempting anything on mars until they worked out the systems, tech on the moon. Funny they haven't' gone back in almost 50 years. You think building a small outpost there would give much-needed experience. Yet all NASA and the rest of them can do is float this pipe dream of going to Mars. Amazing but at 50 million dollars a day budget I guess it's worth investing in marketing.
  16. oh boy here we go!
  17. Why would they even write this story? Publicizing how bad he is. A kinda shittey thing to do.
  18. Carpenter as well
  19. Son Mike was at the MGM in Vegas last night and got this video of Ovi! Not even close to being a Cap's fan but amazing he was there to get the vid. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1He1E6zottlHpxJE7ck4XF9URM5n3BQas/view?usp=sharing
  20. Great book. Man drugs are bad. Even if you kick the habit it seems the ghost follows you forever. I really enjoyed him in his shows. He was a natural on TV because his personality, his enthusiasm was authentic. I liked him on everything he was on. He and the Frenchman Ludo were great foes on "The Taste" But it's so sad I didn't know he still had these demons. Another influential book, to myself anyway, is Ramsay's "Roasting In Hells Kitchen". I never realized his childhood was so bad
  21. At first, I was a bit resentful of the Knights. Got a much nicer kick-start than every other expansion team. As I thought about it more and the initial emotional response faded, I realized maybe this is how it should be done. If it was me investing a half a billion dollars to divided up amongst all the other teams I should get something besides an admission into the league. And really, it doesn't seem to be a good plan to have a horrible product in a non-traditional market at launch. So I came to terms with how this was done. Then I started to enjoy all the Vegas bullshite that comes with this team. I just like the fun aspect of it. It's Vegas and that's how it is there. I was a bit let down by the final as the Knights seemed to run out of steam. For whatever reason, they just were not the same team. Maybe they finally realized they were out of their depth and lost confidence? Anyway as far as the Sabres go it really appears that they are acquiring (or going to with the #1 pick) some nice pieces to put a playoff team together in the next couple years. Eichel, Dahlin and I watched O'Reilly in the Worlds last month and he looked really good. The key is acquiring quality players whose value is more than what you budget under the cap. Something like what the Penguins do. Top heavy salary but great scouting fills the roster with value players. And getting a solid goalie would be nice as well.
  22. Capitals were not to be denied. Great series by them. Full value for the win. Congratulations. After the Sharks lock down Taveras we may see in the final next final.
  23. Movie was good as well.
