Smokey is boring and the big tub of goo Aretha is not only overated, but may be the most annoying singer ever. But what the hell, that wouldnt be much different from all the other SB half time shows

Exactly what Ive been moaning about to anyone who will listen. The NFL is rapidly becoming unwatchable. The lone reason why I watch it anymore (especially since the Bills suck this year) is to compete in fantasy leagues. If it wasnt for that, Id be doing something useful with my life on Sundays. Here is the typical deal that annoys me. Team scores a td, then convert. Commercial break for 3 minutes. We come back to join the action to watch the always exciting kickoff. Then back to another extended commerical break. Back to the action and the players are so out of synch because they forgot what they were there for. Thus, we get get the obligatory, "False Start", or "Delay of game" or whatever. Let alone the fans, it really makes me wonder how it effects the players. How can they maintain momentom or rythem or even keep thier heads in the game with so many delays in the action? It's intollerable. Compared to the NHL these days which is non stop, the NFL is approaching MLB tedium.

Most of that "trash" looked black to me. -
Good post. OUr offence is anemic and it WAS the reason we lost today. Expecting a defence to hold any offence, even the worst in the league, to under 9 points is an unreasonable request. That doesnt excuse them from the many other crappy performances this season though. They still suck. But it is encouraging to see Losman gain confidence week to week. He is not nearly as skittish back there as he was at the start of the season. And the blame cant all be on the passing game either. Our ground game only amounted to 53yds

Everything the BILLS Currently Ain't...

Amen to that. What was fun about the Sharks game last night was it looked like there was no scheme possible to shut down the combined speed on both teams. Kinda felt sorry for Osgood and Nabokov in net. -
Went to see "Ice Harvest" today. John Cusack and Billy Bob Thorton are very good in it and the story is solid. Some good laughs mixed in as well. I give it a sturdy 8/10

Im with you on the first part of the post buftex. Many exciting teams to watch. I watch most Leaf games. Most have been very exciting, including tonights tilt with the Canadians. And right after that, San Jose vs Detroit. Fantastic game with not only lots of scoring(7-6 Red Wings), it had a ton of hitting. This goes against the general opinion that hitting is all but gone with the new rules. Teams mentioned above are always fun to watch but Ive also think that Carolina, Atlanta, Edmonton, Ottawa and of course Buffalo are all playing an exciting brand of hockey. Really enjoying it this season. Lockout was the best thing that ever happened to the NHL. IMHO. -

Good post. See Canada for public service unions way out of control. -
Falcons for sure but not so sure about the Broncos. I would love to see Denver give it to them on Thanksgiving but Dallas D is pretty good.
-
Agreed. Why do they(fag Cowboys included) have to sole rights to Thanksgiving games and the exposure it gives? But really it could be worse. I cant imagine the embarassment if it were the Bills playing on Thanksgiving with the entire country watching. ugh

Words from a Bills devotee that has hit rock bottom. Im in the same boat. So much so that I dont even care at this point. I wont until they get management with something going for them. Some genious that actually gets the fact that you have to have big talented linemen to win consistantly. You would think that a organization that lost 4 STRAIGHT Super Bowls becuase we got overpowered in the trenches woud get the message. What really is disturbing is that they dont. They dont even get that they are a terrible team yet. Dillusional and unaware of thier stature in the league. The Raider game was the final straw for me. They really did look like a second rate organization at that game. Not even worth cheering for. -
My fearless prediction, heartbreak on the way

Like the alchoholic or drug addict that has to hit bottom before the turn around can commence. Have to realize how really crappy you are! -
Anyone watching the Red Wing/Nashville game?

Nice to hear that he seems to be ok. This explains more from tsn.ca DETROIT (CP-AP) - Detroit Red Wings defenceman Jiri Fischer collapsed on the team's bench after suffering a seizure during the first period of an NHL game against the Nashville Predators on Monday night. The 25-year-old Czech defenceman was taken to a local hospital where he was listed as stable. It was not immediately clear exactly what caused the seizure. "He's breathing on his own, he's responsive," Red Wings spokesman John Hahn said. "It looks like he's going to be OK." Play did not resume and the game was called with 7:31 left in the first period. Nashville was leading 1-0 at the time. Hahn and the arena PA announcer both said Fischer had suffered a seizure. Click here to find out more! Fischer was worked on by medical personnel for several minutes before being wheeled back toward the Red Wings dressing room. Play was stopped after the Wings alerted officials to a problem on the bench. The teams were immediately sent to their dressing rooms, but some Detroit players remained near the bench and looked on while CPR was administered. Red Wings captain Steve Yzerman and forward Brendan Shanahan stayed on the ice and helped Fischer's fiancee, Avery, across the surface to be with him. The decision was made to resurface the ice then, and the remaining time was to be added to the second period. But the game was later called. Fans at Joe Louis Arena were not immediately told what was happening and many were shown talking on cellphones. An in-house PA announcer later told the crowd that Fischer was "alert and responsive" more than 40 minutes after play was stopped. A loud cheer went up. Fischer, who played for the QMJHL's Hull Olympiques, is in his sixth NHL season and won a Stanley Cup with Detroit in 2002. Fischer was diagnosed with a heart abnormality in September 2002, causing him to miss two days of practice. The problem was found on an electrocardiogram as part of a routine battery of tests during the Red Wings' pre-season physicals. When the result was abnormal, Fischer was given a stress test that he passed. "There is a little abnormality, but nothing that will stop me from playing," Fischer said at the time. "It's nothing that will bother me emotionally." He said that his heart essentially is a little thicker than normal. "I wasn't scared about the abnormality," Fischer said. "But I was scared about not playing hockey again. That was a shock for me." -

I would also add that the lower we go the better the draft. Problem with that reasoning is that Im not sure our present managment would know what to do with good picks. -

yeah Jiri Fisher. They are saying a puck in the throat. No camera's caught it. They have stopped the game for now. Not sure if the guy is in deep trouble or what. Obviously, if they are beating on the guys chest, thats not a good sign. -

Im not saying we get rid of WM. I guess what Im saying is that I put more value on OLinemen than RB's. I think you can win with a average RB and good OLine but you cant win with a good or even great RB and a weak Oline. Antoine Smith and the Pats are a good example of this. I look at qb's the same way. Some of the qb's that have won SB's in the past are average at best as well. Still not saying we should get rid of WM just that if demands became too expensive I would have no problem losing him as long as the money saved was allocated to the lines. JHMO

Im not nearly as smitten with Willis as most Bills fans are. I read these boards and watch WM and wonder what I am missing. Honestly, he seems decent but not great. If Willis and his agent think so highly of themselves than so be it. I would gladly trade him for a great OLineman or high draft pick(s) to get linemen. Then, search for a serviceable rb. It's all about the offensive line not the RB

Is that the "You got Serverd" episode? They also nailed the "OC" crew pretty much right on as well. That also featured the asian kid rockin at "Dance, Dance, Revolution" in the arcade. Genious episode. Can hardly wait until that season comes to dvd. Just got Season 6.
