Right now Im enjoying a pretty good game between the Sens and the Flyers. Probably will stick with that and just kinda poke in on the Bills game. I have Brady this week in fantasy league so thats reason enough to pay a bit of attention.

Pretty hard to cover anyone when your playing 10yds off the recievers all the time. If they continue that with Brady it really is going to be ugly.

I think your right. But there may be a final and more frightening sixth stage. Number 6 may be "Indifference". The feeling borne of anger in which you suddenly realize you have been screwed over all these years and you have put your money behind a organization that will never win. Your angry becuase you have been a loser enough to believe they could win. After the anger wanes it becomes indifference because your just tired. Hell, out here I may as well be a Niner fan. Unlike the Bills there are no illusions of what their team is. Rock bottom and rebuilding. There is a firm grasp of reality of what they are. Because of that, much like a alchoholic, there is hope for the future. Im not so sure with the Bills. They have been BS'ing like they have a chance. My fear is the Niners are a couple years ahead of us now going through the rough times amassing high draft picks.

I know I will get alot of "your not a true fan" feedback from this. Like alot of emotions they are something you cant control. Ive been a loyal Bills fan for 30 years through thick and (mostly) thin. Now I find myself not loving the Bills but mad at them. Or even worse, indifferent to them. Thier management continues to make the same mistakes that they have made for over 20 years. They refuse to get good lines on both sides of the ball. That game in Oakland that I went too was the back breaker. They were pathetic and Ive ALMOST had enough. What enhanced the crappy gameplay of the Bills was having it rubbed in your face by RaiderFan. Does it get any worse than that? Im getting resentful of the Bills for lettting me down time and time again. Other teams seem to get it done on a regular basis. Hell, even the Redskins with their wacky ownership are building a solid team. I dont know. I know im rambling a bit but I almost want to see the Pat's rip em a new one Sunday so something will break for the Bills. Kinda like the NHL now. A few eggs had to be broken with the lockout to get a better product and we got it. Now I wouldnt mind seeing the Bills hit rock bottom(yet again) to facilitate a new dawn for them. I'll get blasted for this I know.

I agree with all your points. The only thing I can figure is that its pure desperation on Mularkeys part. I got to think he is using that last TD to inspire his team. But your right, the least of this teams problem is something like a late touchdown.

If im the Pats, im looking at this game as a great opportunity to give my second stringers some work in the second half. This gives your starters just a little less wear and tear to help them later in the season. Im serious about this btw. Only thing is it may be more that just a half workout for the subs.

I admire your dogged optimism. I would let it fire me up if it was based on any reality at all. Problem is this is a bad football team that is in no way capable of beating even a decent team. Let alone a 3 time Super Bowl champ with superior coaching, qb'ing etc. Coming off a bye no less. Usually I add a disclaimer saying somthing like "I hope Im wrong and I have to eat crow" but that isnt necessary this week. Im planning on watching at most a half of the game next week and then turning it off before I get too depressed. Let the postitioning for next years draft begin!!!

I admit that I was mislead at the start of the season. I bought the fact that our OLine was adequet and our D was maybe the best in the league. Ive always bitched that the Bills have never paid enough attention to the line on both sides of the ball. Now Im back to thinking that still is our main problem but certainly not the only one. The defensive strategy for this game was absolutely stupid and our offensive gameplan was not to take any risks and not lose. We'll you see what that got us. So I guess my point is that in addition to qb, line and assorted defensive problems, you can add coaching to that list. Man were screwed!

This weekend was my first Raider game and I can see why that place was a third empty. The atmosphere there is total hiphop thug. Thier whole marketing strategy is obviously aimed at the hip hop crowd which I guess its the image that the Raiders what to project. Rap music thumps unmercifully at every available opportunity and break. I never could drink enough beer to numb that crap. I'll never go back unless the Bills play again. Hopefully by that time we are good enough to stick it up thier a$$ and break it off.

I really hope your right. But results in front of us seem to indicate otherwise. This team has gone downhill in a hurry. We've only defeated crappy teams at home. At the beginning of the season most of us(including myself) thought the main problem with this team was at the qb position. I thought the D was solid enough to keep us at least competitive in all games and perhaps even favorites in most of them. I guess I bought the laughable lie that was our defense and jumped on that bandwagon like most others. What I saw on Sunday at Oakland not only blows that myth away but really makes me think this defense is at least in the bottom 3rd of the league. It really is enough to make me not even watch the game next week. I will have the controller in hand ready to switch to a NHL game.

It's BS that the Raiders were desperate today. They were there to be beat. Our OC never stretched the D hence they clamped down on us. They knew Holcomb was only going to throw 10yds max. Also, whats up with our secondary? They couldnt make it any easier for Collins giving a 12yd cushion every first down.
