  1. YET, we send 18 year olds off to war. What's with the hoarding and endowment situtation with schools too?
  2. Maybe it was a long sleeved garment that zipped off to a vest?
  3. Maybe. But it's still up to you. But, the self-infliction came when you decided to accept the relocation. You could have stayed put and found another job. "Good or bad, babyYou can change it anyway you wantYou can rearrange itEnlightenment, don't know what it isChop that wood and carry waterWhat's the sound of one hand clappingEnlightenment, don't you know what it is..."
  4. People forget the history of prohibition in Canada... It was first before the US prohibition of alchohol. It was a huge failure. Same thing will happen with the Mary Jane. Canada is the jump start: https://cdnhistorybits.wordpress.com/2017/05/09/prohibition-in-canada/
  5. Asian carp are NOT a threat... Either are other migrants. LoL...
  6. Keep on spreading the myth: https://www.nbcnews.com/storyline/legal-pot/even-little-marijuana-may-change-teen-brain-study-finds-n958536 "A recent study found that teen brains are more vulnerable to the effects of marijuana than alcohol. And in June, University of Pennsylvania scientists discovered that young people who used marijuana frequently were more likely than nonusers to have slightly lower scores on tests of memory, learning new information, and higher-level problem solving and information processing."
  7. Yep! Waterskiing in Fort Erie. Didn't get on land. I guess that's worse. LoL...
  8. Yes. In the middle of Lake Erie.
  9. Not everybody tells the truth.
  10. Yeah... But you don't want to have to dig a phone out while working or playing. I can see why a smartwatch linked to your phone would be handy. Better yet, just surgically implant the phone in my eyes and ears... And keyboard can be pressing fingers in the air, gestures for control.
  11. Exactly... What can't you do at your desk that you can't do on the couch at home? Sounds like a light duty type job.
  12. Yes. Open border, more like relaxed. Like how it used to be: Customs Agent: "Citizenship?" Me: "US" CA: "Purpose for coming to Canada?" Me: "Bingo and Chinese food." CA: "Have a nice time!"
  13. Say you're out skiing, shoveling snow, mowing the lawn (not code), etc... You don't want to whip it out (not code again) your phone. A handy cheap watch under the gauntlet of your glove really is practical! Skiing I always clip my phone to a paracord (survial, chain knotted to enable extra length) neck lariat... This way you don't drop your phone off lift. There is just no way in hell a cellphone is more practical than a basic wristwatch.
  14. Timex Expedition w/Indiglo 50m water resistant Meijer $29.99 Sport band, black with velcro.
  15. I have always been for open borders open trade.
  16. You can shame it what you want. Isreal has become a theocracy... An apartheid state. Shame on them. Honestly... You thing the US can build this wall and not over-run 4-5x the cost? NOT turn it into a boondoggle? Just the legal battles alone will take years.
  17. Yeah. "Israel is slowly but inexorably turning into a conservative theocracy while the Diaspora is largely dedicated to liberal democracy."
  18. Bluemont was nice... Had decent vertical of about 800'... They think about bringing a modern version back at Blue Hill in Yorkshire! Lifts sucked. Had to get rescued one time when chair broke. I made it off. Friend jumped on roof of SnoCat. Other friend boatswain chair! LoL... He was with a chick... Threw snowballs at them whole time they were waiting! LoL...
  19. I never skied Swain! We did Bluemont for Jr. High Ski Club... Kissing Bridge Sr. High...
  20. Skiing. Giant slalom... NASTAR stuff now. Had a race team in High School, College Club (UB) we sucked, but always middle of pack. Not much racy racy anymore... But if the gates are up, will run then...
  21. No? What crime? Defaulting on non-essentials, working with creditors, mortgage companies is not a crime. Maybe file bankruptcy. Wait till till the health insurance companies want their premiums... This will get good. Then if Feds get back to work... They owe 40% of those premiums. I wouldn't authorize back pay, what a cluster eff health will be. When I was Seasonal, I was rountinely furloughed, my health carried through. And it took me twice as long as the furlough to catch my health premiums back up. This shutdown is only just starting to get good. Yes... I sympathize with the employees... But many mechanisms to get through it, even if living paycheck to paycheck. This ain't 1930. This is a problem! I agree with you here!
  22. Hey... I am an extrovert too! Just gotta get me going. Maybe a little flip cup as ice breaker, etc... Welcome me in... I won't shut up!
  23. Nice. I am not the Snowflake. You are. I don't complain for these people living pay check to paycheck. Just default. Mass default. Protect your residence, transportation... Etc....and crash the economy. That ain't a Snowflake talking... People have to do what they need to do. Pick themselves up and move on.
  24. Yeah, everybody can be a millionaire. Just like everybody should go to college. How's the cost of education working out. With the shutdown... Just let the economy crash. More people will blame the Prez. Prez. is easy lightening rod, figurehead. Human nature will take over.
