  1. That is what I suspected.
  2. Out of curiosity, did the news of the day (Coughlin to Jags) have any impact on the Bills taking a break? By taking a break, do you mean like Ross and Rachel taking a break . . . or are they just tired out from interviewing all of these A List candidates on Whaley's list?
  3. I have no way of knowing one way or another, but I wonder whether: a) Coughlin was on Whaley's list to interview and turned down the chance to interview; or b) Coughlin was not on Whaley's list at all.
  4. It is. My life would be so much easier and I would have so much more time if I were not a Bills fan. It is a struggle . . . particularly this year. I know I probably will talk myself into keeping my season tickets, but I feel my attitude changing for the first time ever. Maybe I will get I excited again once they hire someone, but I have a suspicion that I am going to have a fairly empty feeling about whomever they hire (based on the names that we are reading).
  5. I disagree with this on multiple levels. Most importantly, I would never consider a guy who quit on my team as being better than anyone else.
  6. I like you and respect your opinion. Whaley . . . not so much. It is from an old joke about a general. The punch line is that he asks his aid to get his brown pants so everyone does not see him sh**ing in his pants when the opposing army attacks.
  7. Nick, I have a very important question. Which EPL team do you support? Do you have wonderful taste and character as Gunner Bill and I have? P.S. I have disagreed with Gunner Bill recently but I can never be too angry with him given that he is a fellow Gooner. COYG
  8. Whaley is proposing we blow it up or the poster is?
  9. . . . and Whaley should wear brown pants based on what I have seen.
  10. It was not left to the guy before the interim coach either. The problem is the way it was handled. I also am sure that Anthony Lynn did not like having to answer any of these questions when Doug Whaley should have been at that press conference to answer questions (in addition to the press conference the following week).
  11. I get that. It was more a comment in general and not directed to you or anyone in particular.
  12. My Dad was a charter season ticket holder. I am an out-of-town season ticket holder of many years. For the first time, I have thought about giving up my seats. I probably will talk myself into keeping the seats . . . . I will wait to see what they do these next couple of months. Right now, it is about the least excited I have ever been for the upcoming season. Girl scouts? Come on. I would venture to guess that anyone who steps on to an NFL field is tougher than pretty much any of the keyboard jockeys here. Call it a hunch.
  13. People forget that Kelly used to get trashed on sports radio back then. Kelly is lucky that social media, TBD, and Twitter did not exist back then.
  14. Aaron Rodgers channeling Bart Scott: "Can't wait." Mike McCarthy channeling Bill Belichick: "We are on to Dallas."
  15. This is very true. Think back to how much conviction Washington must have had to trade what it did to pick RGIII. After this past year, is anyone willing to bet the farm on Jared Goff. There are still questions about Wentz. It is such a crap shoot.
  16. Sad to say, but I would have settled for pretty much anyone. I remember hearing that the Bills already had buyer's remorse during OTAs immediately after he was drafted. The guy was a one year wonder who bulked up (somehow) for the combine. He is a much better artist that he was an NFL football player.
  17. Yep. Aaron Rodgers as well if we had not picked Losman. How much would our recent past have been different if: We traded up ahead of the Steelers to pick Big Ben or we picked Aaron Rodgers when we had the chance. Rodgers also has proved that he could play in Buffalo weather obviously.
  18. I would not have gone for it either. The point I was making is that it is easy to criticize after the fact. Twitter blew up after the call and many were saying how lucky McCarthy is to have Aaron Rodgers etc. and he bailed him out . . . . It seems that the worst decision a coach can make is NOT to go for it because, in the minds of those who would have gone for it, they think it would have been successful - but of course, who knows.
  19. Going for it is a great decision . . . unless you fail to convert. Same with punting. These coaches have to make tough decisions. It is easy to beat up on them after the fact if the decision does not turn out well.
  20. Why? Doug Whaley seems to think that we had a playoff caliber roster that was only being held back by the former head coach and his brother.
  21. I recommended that Doug Whaley wear brown pants at the press conference. He probably should fully stock his closet with brown pants.
  22. Of course, it will depend in part on who the next Denver coach is, but I suspect that Elway is still interested . . . depending on price. I also suspect that TT may be willing to take less to play there than he would take to play somewhere else (given Denver's recent history).
  23. I can see this happening.
  24. I have the feeling that TT will be with the Broncos next year if the Bills do not pick up option or they do not re-negotiate contract.
