  1. When I read the title to this thread ("Throwback to Another Horrible McDermott Decision"), my immediate reaction was: Which one?
  2. I thought it was pretty clear that McClappy is an expert at the draft. He astutely traded the right to pick Mahomes so that we could draft a CB later in the first round. Brilliant move.🙄 McClappy should thank his lucky stars that Beane was able to engineer it so that the Bills could pick Josh and that Josh was available.
  3. As it turns out, McClappy fired the wrong coordinator . . . . When speaking of the importance of "complementary" football, McClappy should have looked in the mirror.
  4. Rather than throwing others under the bus, McD needs to look at himself in the mirror. At this point, I have a difficult time watching/listening to his press conferences.
  5. As for Beane, I would not have an issue if he were to stay as GM. I think that he has done a good job for the most part. I do wonder if Beane is more loyal to McD as opposed to the Buffalo Bills. We shall see.
  6. Rich could not have said it better: "I love this guy."
  7. How many game losing drives has our defense given up? The biggest difference in the offense between the last two games and when the offense did not perform before is turnovers.
  8. Wow. Just wow. Our defensive HC - the one who loves to talk about complementary football and throw others under the bus - should take a long, hard look in the mirror.
  9. Andy Dalton took Tyrod to the playoffs. McD was the guy who, but for Josh Allen, would be remembered for trading the right to pick Mahomes. As for Josh, I have heard that the guy who was at least one of the primary forces behind picking Josh has the initials Terry Pegula. To be fair, I don't know one way or another as to McD's view of Josh in the draft process. I do know that, since McD has been the HC, the Bills have taken five defensive players in the first round and only two offensive players (Josh and Kinkaid).
  10. The defense has let us down badly by giving up multiple game losing drives this season. Yesterday, was just another example. We would be in great shape for the playoffs but for the defense not being able to close out games.
  11. As I wrote in another thread, McClappy has no one else to throw under the bus. His seat should be "warm" at a minimum. But for all of the game winning (read losing) drives our defense has given up, we would be sitting pretty for the playoffs.
  12. McClappy has no one else to throw under the bus. His defense has given up far too many game winning (read losing) drives. But for those game winning drives, we would be sitting pretty for the playoffs.
  13. The kid already is very good and is only going to get better. He also seems to have a great attitude. In the end, I think we will feel very fortunate that we were able to get him where we did.
  14. I love how you guys try to restrict the sample size to push your narrative. Another way of looking at your small sample size: In two of those six games, the offensive put us in a position to win but the defense gave up a game "losing" drive. The same is true with the first game of the season. If the defense had done what it should have done in those three games, we would be 8 -2 and leading the AFC. As for scoring, here is a complete sample size from last year: Buffalo Bills - Second Leading Scoring Offense in NFL As for schemes to get open, Kurt Warner disagrees with you: In Defense of Dorsey But hey, what does he know. P.S. I am going to a charity event in a little while so you guys can argue amongst yourselves.
  15. We now have online betting in Florida. I bet a small amount of money on the Bengals last night. Although it was a small amount of money, I never would have bet on the Bengals if I had known about this.
  16. I got it. Let's ignore anything that reflects favorably on the offense and the former OC. Got it. Now that we have fed Dorsey to the lions, we got rid of what was holding us back and we are Super Bowl bound. The metrics are what the metrics are. NONE OF THEM justify firing the OC.
  17. P.S. As Gabe mentioned, execution is on the players not the OC. Same with the TOs by Josh who also by the way was leading the league in TDs (19). P.P.S. We are averaging 26.2 points per game (not less than 20 ppg), which is 8th in the league . . . and again does not scream out for firing the OC. P.P.P.S. The defense is ranked 17th in scoring defense by comparison.
  18. Josh would be having a lot more fun if his star wide receiver were not screaming at him on the sidelines or the brother of that same wide receiver posting sh*t on social media.
  19. To state it another way, he is asking Josh to not be as aggressive and run the ball as much as he has in the past. Whether that is a good idea or bad idea, it is odd that McClappy would say what he said because he more than anyone is responsible.
  20. A friend of mine is dating a woman and does not get along with her daughter that well. I have told him to never put his girlfriend in a position where he is asking her to choose between him and the daughter because he will lose every time. The same is true with Josh and McClappy. In a choice between Josh and McClappy, Josh wins 100 times out of 100.
  21. They are bizarre . . . especially given that it was McCoach himself (as others have pointed out) who has attempted to neuter Josh.
  22. I answered the question. The metrics show that it is. The larger point is, whether you believe it is or not, the metrics certainly don't cry out for firing the OC. If the defense did not screw the pooch on three game winning drives, does McD feed Dorsey to the lions to deflect?
