  1. I think this is probably true given the little bit I am learning about the guy. He certainly is above the Mendoza line. We shall see. He might end up being good. See below. This.
  2. Believe what you want to believe. I forgive you a lot because you are an Arsenal supporter. I guess I need to ask what is your take on Giroud to more fully understand you. My guess is that you are one of those guys who always finds something to be critical of Giroud. As you might have guessed, I am a Giroud supporter.
  3. This is a very interesting take. It certainly increases the chance that TT will be the Bills QB next year.
  4. He did, but he was not the defensive coordinator.
  5. I guess people misheard what Sean McDermott said. Instead of saying that he was going to bring Mike McCoy as his OC, he actually said that he was bringing the guy McCoy was replacing at Denver. Just a joke. Relax. If anyone has anything substantive to say about the guy, please post.
  6. I will listen to this on demand when I go home. Having said that, essentially accusing an NFL coach of being lazy is a big deal and not just a throw away line. Indeed, this thread is evidence of that. As I mentioned up thread, if this had been true, the media would have noticed this for themselves and would have reported it earlier . . . and without the need of an anonymous source. As I also mentioned, whatever you think of him, I think that it is obvious that Rex really loved being an NFL HC and fully embraced being the Bills HC. Just my two cents.
  7. Whatever you want to believe. I listen to WGR a lot (read too much). I also follow Sal on Twitter. Whether he believes it or not, he clearly has been pushing the Doug Whaley narrative that he was not involved with anything that is perceived to be bad or to have gone wrong in the organization. I like Sal, but I think that he is being played.
  8. That is a good point. It is interesting and sad that someone inside the organization still seems to be paranoid and looking over his shoulder at Rex - so much so that this person is leaking yet another story to the media - I guess Jason LaCanfora was not available this time.
  9. I think I said what I said pretty clearly. This is another attempt to trash the guy by someone inside the organization. Probably someone who recently has been pushing the narrative that he was against hiring Rex. As an aside, if the Buffalo media had witnessed Rex not being at work (or his truck or any other vehicle not being in the parking lot), they could have reported this themselves WITHOUT Sal now pushing this story for an anonymous (read Doug Whaley) source.
  10. I am beginning to wonder about this as well. I know that you guys will be surprised by my saying this, but I just think this is another attempt by someone (we can guess) to throw Rex under the bus. I also cannot think of anyone who enjoyed being a football coach more than Rex. Whether you like him or not, my understanding is that he LOVED being at the facility with the guys. These coaches (all of them except Steve Spurrier) work their freaking asses off. Being an NFL coach is a tough gig.
  11. Mixed signals . . . . They better figure out what this is about before people have to commit to season tickets for next year. I had predicted Doug would end up like Darcy. Who knows? He now sounds more like Darcy without using the word "suffering." Of course, to use the word "suffering" would be redundant given the past 17 years.
  12. Very well said. Although I have disagreed with them on a couple of issues, I will always give them a Mulligan. For most of my adult life, there was a real fear that the Bills would move to LA or Toronto or somewhere else after Ralph died. The Pegulas saved NFL football in Buffalo, and I never have to worry about the Bills moving again. I had the opportunity to meet them through someone I know. They are absolutely wonderful people. They also are very down to earth . . . as much as billionaires can be (except for the "Top Five" yacht and access to private planes and owning professional sports teams etc). Terry was not given any money and did not inherit it. He made it based on his vision and the chances that he took. Kim's life story, which began as an orphan on the streets of Seoul, could not be more inspiring. She is an amazing woman. Kim and Terry essentially dropped out of the sky to save both the Bills and Sabres. I am forever grateful.
  13. She assists Crossman so I suspect she is staying. I also think it would not be a good look if they fired her given that they are retaining Crossman.
  14. I am perfectly fine with agreeing to disagree. Clearly, I would not continue to be here if I were not. People disagree with me all the time. I have no problem with people voicing their well thought out opinion. We are cheering for the same team (except when the Hurricanes are playing Notre Dame - I went to the game in South Bend this year. Beautiful campus and everyone was great). Be well my friend. P.S. I mentioned my "bona fides" to demonstrate that my (passionate) support of the Buffalo Bills and my participation here pre-date by decades my support for Rex.
  15. Your name popped up because I suspect that you have not told the anti Rex guys to "stop." You also really need to read in context. My "offending post" which triggered the feint of heart was my response to Gunner Bill. Gunner Bill said McDermott likes to mix it up. I responded: "Will he be allowed to mix it up with the Bills . . . or will our players complain that it is too difficult . . . ." The horror! You should block me or do not read what I write if it bothers you so much to have someone have a different opinion from yours. At the end of the day, I have been posting here since before the re-set in 2001. I have been a Buffalo Bills fan since I could say the name "Jack Kemp." My family are charter Buffalo Bills season ticket holders, and I continue to be an out of town season holder even though I live in Miami. I really do not need to be lectured by you. Just block me so that you can be protected from someone who has a different opinion or take that does not fall perfectly in line with yours. God Bless.
  16. Does this mean that we are not as "close" as Doug Whaley said? Do we not have that playoff roster? Was Vegas correct about the over and under on wins?
  17. I know. It sucks. If Buffalo sports teams did not have bad luck, they would have no luck at all . . . .
  18. LaCanfora had the McDermott hire before Vic and an hour before the Bills announced. I think some of these guys still have their bat phone.
  19. I was thinking about that last night . . . we have bad luck even when we are intentionally bad.
  20. I love that kid's attitude.
  21. Will we get Conner McDavid or Austin Matthews this time around?
  22. Did you ever hear McD say Frazier was the DC candidate before he was hired?
  23. Nothing other than reports in the media and guys here posting approximately 700 posts on the subject.
  24. Should I be happy that we dodged a bullet or sad that a guy who most think would be a horrible OC would rather be the Rams QB coach than the OC of the Buffalo Bills? I am going to choose to be happy that we dodged a bullet.
  25. I know nothing about this guy other than what I am reading in this thread. It is interesting that Skipper is being replaced in Jacksonville by one of our former coaches - Tyrone Wheatley. As I recall, when Fred was cut, he called Doug Whaley dishonest or something like that. Unless they kissed and made up, I suspect that he is not likely to be a coach with the Bills. I do think that he would be a good one though.
