  1. I'd love to see a graph of measured IQ vs. support of gay marriage.
  2. I'm saying that the world would be a better place if people relied on logic and reason to make public policy decisions.
  3. Adults who comprise the "faithful" aren't worthy of anything beyond childish denigration, particularly when they vote on bad public policy because their imaginary friend (as opposed to logic and reason) informs them of what's right and what's wrong. Also, I'm not in the business of defending every overly sensitive atheist simply because I'm an atheist. You should be allowed to publicly celebrate your religion. I will defend you all day and every day on that.
  4. I assume you're being serious? It's called "tyranny of the majority." The majority were once against miscegenation. Not too long ago, in fact.
  5. Embarrasing, indeed. I still have yet to hear an intelligent, persuasive argument against legalizing gay marriage. It always comes down to "my invisible friend in the sky says it's wrong in his big book of Middle Eastern fairytales. Plus two dudes kissing is just !@#$ing gross."
  6. Probably because Ed is packing a special 12 inch you-know-what and knows how to use it.
  7. Dude looks RIPPED and ready to go after Brady here.
  8. The OP may be onto something here: Pics of Fitzy back in '04 with Harvard
  9. They had Moats move from 3-4 OLB to 3-4 ILB in his second year, and he's naturally more comfortable as a pass rusher than as a cover LB since he played 4-3 DE in college. This may partly explain the decline. Now as a Wannstachian 4-3 OLB, he is even further removed from pass rushing. I still hope he makes the team because he is the best pass-rushing LB we have (Merriman is a DE) and has value in blitz packages.
  10. 414-0! Nix is going to show us the baby all the way to her high school graduation! Wooooooooooooooooo!
  11. Complicating it further is a good thing. Raising the level of talent and level of competition is a good thing. A Gaffney type of player could easily replace a Roosevelt type of player. A Clark type of player could easily replace a Caussin type of player.
  12. Your 53 is very similar to mine! Only 3 differences: 1. Brown instead of Asper. 2. Chris White instead of Heard. 3. Hagan instead of Roosevelt.
  13. I'm not quite ready to give up on the 2010 draft class. Spiller and Easley could become starters by the end of this coming season. Carrington, Troup, Moats, and Batten can each become quality backups in our front seven. If all of the above happens, I would rate this as a very solid draft. I also still believe that Calloway and Brown were quality seventh round picks, given what everyone knew of them at the time. The only major mistake was Virginia Tech's Ed Wang. Nevertheless, he was a 5th round pick and nobody's perfect. Plus his last name was Wang and he was projected to play on an offensive line with Levitre and Wood. The comedic effect of this alone made him a good pick (IMO).
  14. That might have been how the injury started.
  15. #2 WR. BY FAR. Everything else is trivial. Maybe we'll get lucky and there will be a veteran WR cap casualty. Otherwise, I would seriously consider a trade. Get Fitz his #2, and these Bills just may win the division for the first time since 1995.
  16. You're okay as long as you don't want the Bills to move out of Buffalo. I have ZERO tolerance for Bills fans who live elsewhere in the country and who are fine with the Bills relocating closer to where they live now. "Elsewhere" includes Toronto, by the way. I hope fans like that choke on a bag of dicks and die.
  17. So I actually read all 17 pages of this thread, and I came away learning absolutely nothing about Gilmore. VERY disappointing, guys. For the past 3 years, Gilmore played in the best football division in the country and covered some of the very best WR talent. Can't we talk a little more about that stuff and less about the value of the CB position? And for the record, Whitner and McKelvin were different players drafted by a different regime. If Gilmore develops into a quality #1 CB at the pro level, then this was a great pick...regardless of this franchise's dubious draft history with DB's.
  18. It makes plenty of sense. You can like basketball. But not the NBA version of it.
  19. What the league allowed to happen to the Braves was disgraceful. The NBA took a giant **** on the Queen City and all of her denizens. If you are a Buffalo sports fan and you still follow this league, then you disgust me.
  20. Yeah, he and Tommy Chong formed a comedy duo back in the 70's.
  21. Because this is the mother!@#$ing NFL, baby! It ain't college no more! Dave Wannstache places a premium on pass-rushing skills from his DE's. Carrington may be just a little too slow on the outside for Mr. Stache's tastes. Carrington will back up Dareus, and Troup will back up KW. I like it. This may very well make Dwan Edwards and Spencer J expendable, saving us a whopping $7.5 million that can go toward extending Freddie J, Byrd, and Levitre.
  22. You are probably right, my Buffalo Bills brother! Barron may even be as high as #6 on Buddy's draft board, right after the big 5 (Luck, Griffin, Blackmon, Kalil, Claiborne). If Barron is going to do a better job of stopping the Gronkowski's of the NFL than Kuechly, then I am all for him! As a side note, my friend Gary is a huge Cowboys fan. He has been talking **** to me for over 30 years about Dallas. I would love NOTHING more than seeing the Bills take Barron before they get a chance! Muhahahahahahaha! Buffalo Bills, talkin' proud, talkin' proud! !@#$ yeah! Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!
  23. Let's stop making Brady and his TE's out to be invincible God-like figures. They can be shut down with a very strong pass rush from the front 4 plus LB's that can take away the short-to-intermediate routes. A competent DC like Wannstedt, Mario Williams, Anderson, a healthy KW, a healthy Merriman, a more experienced Sheppard, and a guy like Kuechly would be good enough to effectively limit Brady and Co.
