  1. If predicting one's team to lose to the defending Super Bowl champs after starting the season 0-2 and scoring 20 points in those 2 games while watching the champs start 2-0 and move the football with ease makes me a suicide fan, then yes, I'm suicidal.
  2. Ok, I say you are blinded by your devotion to a team that is headed for an 0-3 start.
  3. Gallery won't give up a sack to either Kelsay or Denney, but I would like to see us pressure Gannon from his side and see how he handles his assignments.
  4. Those hurricanes have knocked you silly. Even suggesting our DEs are a top 5 tandum is ridiculous. Heck, we couldn't decide on the LDE starter until a few weeks ago, and that wasn't because they were both studs. And as far as I'm concerned, the only thing Schobel has proven is that he can rush the QB. His run defense is mediocre.
  5. I agree that we certainly need to throw the ball deep a few times. The 5-yard out patterns will only work for so long, and if we don't at least try to stretch defenses, Henry will see more and more 7 and 8-man fronts.
  6. As long as hurricane Ivan doesn't affect the Titans game, I'd start McNair. Otherwise, Hasselbeck.
  7. Well, considering my lock last week was the Falcons, who didn't cover thanks to a last minute TD, my "locks" have become "good plays" until one of my selections is a winner. So, here's my good play of the week: Denver -3.
  8. I'd blitz more than not. Our defense needs to create turnovers, and I don't see our front 4 getting pressure.
  9. Good report, thanks. I don't doubt TD is trying his best, but do you really expect him to say anything other than "things are going as planned"? In my mind, he's done a good job of taking over a team in salary cap hell, but I'm not sold on the talent he's brought in here. Anyway, playoffs are made in November, problem is we play Jets, Pats, Rams and Seahawks.
  10. I don't see our front 4 getting any pressure on Gannon absent blitzing, and even if their defense is "nothing too special", our offense is so vanilla, we'll make them look good. Raiders 24 Bills 13
  11. Yeah, I don't see a lot to be worried about with our offense. I think the defense needs to dominate for Bills to win.
  12. A good friend has great season tickets, so I went to the Jets home opener yesterday and didn't see any of the Bills game except for the countless replays of the TD on the last play.....ugh. Anyway, here's what I saw from the Jets: 1. Their offense is very good. Sure, the Bengals don't have a great defense, but Pennington moved the ball at will, and if the Jets hadn't fumbled the opening kickoff, the score wouldn't have been close. Expect them to score 20-30+ week in and week out. 2. Their defense has a few stars, but can be exploited. Abraham looked like an All-Pro (need to double team him) and created havoc for Palmer. Robertson looked very good also. However, when there wasn't pressure on Palmer, he seemed to find someone open, even on a few 3rd and long downs. If I were coach, I'd attack the secondary often. 3. They execute very well. Committed only 1 penalty for 7 yards, 8 of 12 on 3rd down, and only 1 turnover (opening kickoff). Basically, the Jets offense should keep them in most games, and their defense should be good enough against lesser teams (i.e. Bengals)......I see them winning between 8-10 games, something I can't say about the Bills right now (10 points at home??).
  13. *** FRIDAY UPDATE *** DT Sam Adams (Buf) practiced all week and should be able to play despite being listed as questionable on the injury report.
  14. I think it's too early for this kid......my guess is gets 10-15 plays Sunday.
  15. The top 5 QBs I'd take right now: 1. Manning 2. Culpepper 3. Favre 4. Brady 5. McNair There's no way McNabb gets his name in that group, at least yet.
  16. This is easy, it's Big Mike. But, if we run every single play, then there won't be a sack!
  17. Damn, he and Pat were going to create havoc this Sunday. I sure hope he's closer to probable than questionable.
  18. Jerry Porter, for sure. The Steelers backfield is terrible and Norv Turner likes to throw the ball.
