  1. Can we draw something from the Colts game ? How about the Jags? We're 2-3 in the last 5 and in the last 2 losses--both at home--we've given up 500 yards rushing. Call me crazy, but I think we can definitely draw something from that.
  2. First of all, I don't measure success by whether or not we win the Superbowl. The playoffs would be a good start. Second, the numbers do suggest our defense is good, but I'm still wondering why we couldn't stop Brian St. Pierre and the Steelers--who ran the ball 13 straight times--when we needed our "playoff caliber defense" most. And I'm all for giving TD the time and resources to make this team successful, but the clock is ticking and quite honestly, I don't see a rookie QB leading us to the playoffs next year.
  3. THe Iggles re-signed Buckhalter, so I can't see them trading for a 3rd RB.
  4. Easy cowboy, the guy signed a backup QB and you're ready to throw him on your shoulders. Face the facts: this team has a losing record in the 4 years TD has been in charge. Until that changes, the best thing I can say about the guy is he's a good accountant.
  5. This was one of the many mistakes we've seen from TD. He blew it, plain and simple.
  6. That was sweet! Cut it by 30 seconds and it gets an A.
  7. I want to dump Lindell as much as anyone else, but we have much more serious concerns before a kicker, including OL (both starting and bench guys), a CB if we can't resign Nate, an LB if we can't resign London, etc., so a kicker is not a top priority IMO. Certainly not worth our 2nd round pick.
  8. I agree with the majority, I would have liked him back, but not at that price.
  9. Check out Pierce's Pitt BBQ http://www.pierces.com/contact_us.asp
  10. Congratulations. You should be recognized in some formal fashion, a parade perhaps?
  11. Cusp of greatness? This team? Rookie QB? No OL? Nah.
  12. It is a good grab for the Bears, I like Muhammad, but who will get him the ball?
  13. We need to sign Pat. Without him, Anderson is pushed into a backup role, and I'd like the flexibility of being able to use Edwards at end, if needed, because I'm not sold on Kelsay.
  14. I agree with Steve, he'll go in Day 1 for sure.
  15. I'm all for giving TD the time and resources to lead this team, but he hasn't shown me much in 4 years, and I don't see much happening in year 5. How long do we wait for success?
  16. I agree with you, this team is bound to regress and by the time JP learns the game (assuming he does) we may not have the key players on this team. It looks like we're letting PW walk, which is another big mistake. I'm sure Pittsburgh is pissed to have seen TD leave....2 playoff appearances in the 4 years he's gone.
  17. don't be so sure about our D....they can't make a stop when they need to (see, Jax, Pitt w/ a 3rd string QB, etc)
  18. There's no doubt Dallas has a better chance to make the playoffs next year. They've got a bunch of talented players on offense and 2 first round picks to sure up the defense. And before anyone proclaims DB will take them no where, let's not forget Tuna has been to more superbowls than anyone on this current team.
  19. From the article WGR article, I do agree with DB that we should have opened it up for competition instead of crowning JP king without so much as a fight. And why not? This team was on the verge of the playoffs, we should be thinking about the playoffs next year, not how long until JP develops and takes us there. If JP is as good as everyone wants to believe, let him demonstrate it with a solid camp. If he struggles--which is more likely than not given the current status of our OL and the history of rookie QBs--we're looking at making the playoffs in 2006 or later. Just my $0.02, though I'm sure my opinion is in the minority.
  20. Yeah, he really sucked, especially in 2003 when he only had some 1400 yards and 10 TDs. 2002 was just as bad, a meager 1500 yards and 13 TDs and a Pro-Bowl. Thank goodness we're getting rid of that piece of sh--.
