  1. agreed, although i think we need a CB much more than a DT.
  2. Good God, they spend $2.4 mil on a commercial that made most everyone, me included, feel incredibly lucky and thankful, and you're disturbed because they flashed a logo at the end??? Get serious. How anyone can be disturbed about anything in that ad, logo or not, is prima facie evidence of mental insanity.
  3. TO proved he is the best WR in the game today, period. 6 weeks after basically breaking his ankle, the guy catches everything thrown to him and shoved off DBs like flies. The game wouldn't have been as close without him, for sure.
  4. Is there a worse operating system? Win98 drove me to a heavy alcohol intake a few years ago.
  5. I can. Lindell, Posey and Shaw are but a few of the poor decisions with regard to free agents, but then again, signing a free agent who works out doesn't deserve high praise in my book since these guys have already proven they can play. His draft selection of talent has been average, at best.
  6. Like you, I'm not a huge fan of Clements, and if Bills think similarly, it's not too early to start thinking about, or even finding, his replacement. No argument at all with the pass rush, but with Schobel signed to a long-term deal, and new guy Kelsay getting significant playing time along with Denney, I don't expect any major moves in this area. As for the offense, we do need help at OT if Jonas isn't resigned, but I gotta figure we'd look to FA or the draft, not a trade.
  7. I beg to differ. McGee has ability, but I don't think he's the long-term answer at CB, at least not our starting CB (i.e. nickel). And while I like Nate, he's due some big money next year, and if we're gonna spend, I'd rather have Surtain.
  8. If the Bills ever made a run at Surtain, they'd surely work a contract extension out before dealing. And it's clear--at least to me--that we're about to spend some serious dough at the CB position soon, certainly no later than next year with Nate due a new deal. Personally, I'd see if we could trade Henry and a pick for Surtain, lock him up for 3-5 years, and then watch the best secondary in football next year with Nate and Surtain at CB, McGee at nickel--where he's most comfortable--and Milloy and Vincent at SS and FS. If that were to happen, Nate obviously wouldn't be around for more than a year, but I'd prefer Surtain to him, so that's ok in my book.
  9. That secondary sounds great, but you're right, we'd need to offer a pick, maybe even a 2nd. Would you do it? He's due an outrageous contract, but we may be prepared to spend on that position with Nate needing a new deal soon. I'd do it.
  10. I've filed complaints with both Ebay and Paypal, and the process is quite long and aggravating and will take no less than 30 days. In fact, I don't think you can file a complaint with either Ebay or Paypal until 30 days after the auction ends. I'd wait another week or two, then file the complaint.
  11. I remember playing in a tournament in college with about 12 of us in the dorm and I used the Chargers and ended up playing the Chiefs in the final game. Butts had something like 200 yards rushing, but 3 fumbles. I finally won the game in OT on a 68-yard FG. I will never forget you John Carney!
  12. I gotta add my vote for Super Tecmo Bowl....the greatest football game I've ever played. Bo Jackson was a personal favorite. Together with Marcus Allen, they were unstoppable.
  13. Although I know Seattle tagged him before, they've got bigger problems this year, including Hasselbeck and Alexander, both of whom are FAs.
  14. I'm on my 3rd dell laptop--all of them purchased by my employer--and they all have sucked. My problems included: motherboard replacement, memory replacement, hard drive crashes, keypad assemblies, etc. And unless you spend some ridiculous money on a premium warranty service, you'll spend hours and hours on hold, then only to be walked through the same troubleshooting steps with multiple representatives. If I were in the laptop market, I'd be looking at either a Toshiba or IBM.
  15. Fair enough, but Edwards is solid, and I'd rather go with Anderson over Bannan, wouldn't you?
  16. I'm not a fan. He won't play much if we resign Pat, so let's cut bait and try either another DE or fill it with an OL. Edwards and Anderson would be good depth behind Pat and Sam.
  17. Denney did play better, I'd hold onto him. Bannan, on the other hand.....
  18. Personally, I think a Pitt win is more likely than a NE blowout...the Steelers lost only 1 game all year, and I just don't see them getting blown out at home.
  19. I'd actually prefer to tease the 2 dogs....Falcons +12, Steelers +10 (using 7 points).
  20. It was a crummy draft.....other than Williams I'd only keep Denney and Thomas. C-.
  21. I echo most of the above, I wouldn't want Moss on this team. Plus, there's absolutely no chance of this happening given Minny's RB situation, which includes Smith, Bennett, Williams, etc.
