  1. I would feel 100 times better McDermott just came out and said, we're raw, inexperienced and bad. We are in a rebuilding phase, we expect to win, but it's next to impossible with what we currently have on the roster due to the lack of experience and youth both on the roster and in the coaching staff. We are building long term, but rest assured that we are also doing everything we possibly can to produce wins now. This is going to be a long painful season, but we are looking for the dividens to payoff next season and beyond....its going to get ugly, just remember, trust the process. I think I would be OK with that.
  2. Our Hill is Benjamin, the guy our GM went after and made a trade to get. Our Kelce is Clay, the guy we signed to nearly a 40 million dollar contract and one if the highest paid TE in the league. The Online is good enough to get through the season according to OBD. Mahomes is just better, stop making excuses. None of these same excuses were acceptable for Nate Peterman.
  3. Peterman 10 quarters = entire NFL career = WOAT The hypocrisy on this board is disgusting. A lot of these people are the same from the old BBMB and the quality of posts, homerism, and lack of logic has followed to this board. This place has gone downhill since those BBMB have crossed over here. What a shame.
  4. A homer is someone who defends someone blindly, completely disregarding anything that is critical of the said player. As a Bills fan, I root for the whole team, every player. But I will not buy into the hype of any player who has done nothing. I am discussing the fact we traded 10 overall last year, when we knew we needed A Qb. That pick landed the Chiefs Mahomes. It could of landed us Mahomes.
  5. So draft status has nothing to do with the quality of the player? It's all just a crap shoot?
  6. It's OK to be an Allen homer!

    1. H2o

      H2o

That's all you got?  Gtfoh, you got some "clean up" to do.

  7. Yea, why care about another missed opportunity on a franchise Qb. I mean they grow on trees, didn't you know? I'm not a chiefs fan, I'm pointing out the ineptitude of this regime regarding Qbs. We could if drafted him, and he could have been throwing 6 tds for us today.
  8. That excuse didn't stop the Allen homers from shredding Peterman, did it?
  9. Wow, a lot excuses as to why to Mahomes has excelled two weeks in a row, posting historic numbers early in his career. It's amazing to me these same excuses were used to defend Peterman last week but were cast off. Bottom line is this regime has debacled the Qb situation from the word go, and has not only made the wrong decisions last year, but has made them again with Allen.
  10. I thought you don't learn anything sitting on the bench? Isn't that the consensus from the Allen homers?
  11. How does it feel to know he threw 6tds today, and he was drafted 10th last year at a pick we traded away to Kansas City? Feels like a dagger in the heart to me. This kid is on FIRE.
  12. Anyone who puts Rodgers over Brady is delusional. Rodgers has choked over and over under pressure. The dude has Benn in the league over 13 years and has 12 4th quarter comebacks. Meanwhile Brady has triple that. It's easy to coast to a win when you have the lead. Not so easy when you are the one trying to make a comeback. I can honestly say, many many times I've seen Brady with the ball, with under 2 minutes, and said, you gave him too much time, as he masterfully moved his team into scoring position to win another one I've never said that about Rodgers. In fact, I've said the opposite.
  13. Peyton Manning Drew Brees Tom Brady Joe Montana Dan Marino
  14. I never said Jackson was polished I said Rosen was polished. I said Jackson was a better candidate, that is, if they were looking at a project player that's physically gifted, which clearly, they were.
  15. Allen was a bad pick and shows yet again, this regime has no clue what to do with a Qb. From the Taylor/Peterman debacle last year, to the McCarron debacle in the preseason, and now on to another Allen/Peterman debacle, it's clear they have no clue or no answer at the position. We had options on the board, with a polished passer in Rosen, or a much better candidate in Jackson, (and Deshaun Watson last year) we took a sub-par Qb who struggled heavily against every talented college team he faced. Allen was a project pick. Everyone knew it when they picked him, hence the reason Peterman was named starter. You can oogle his "physical talent" all day, that doesn't win games. To make matters even worse, there is zero supporting cast surrounding him aside from an aging McCoy. I hope Allen's performance is judged as critical as Peterman's has been, but judging by the amount of homers on this board, I doubt it will be. Every problem that existed while Peterman was at the helm will continue to exist with Allen at the helm. But Allen homers will use every single one of them to defend him. Truth be told, we still don't have a starting Qb or franchise Qb on this roster. "Wyoming quarterback Josh Allen has spent months as a top prospect. Allen’s is a weird case, though. He was only an FBS starter for two years, and he didn’t put up great numbers in either. Allen’s career line at Wyoming: a 56.2 completion rate, 7.8 yards per attempt, 44 touchdowns, 21 interceptions, and a mediocre 137.7 rating." In 2017, Allen played two Power 5 opponents. He completed 50 percent of his passes for no touchdowns and three interceptions, averaging 3.7 yards per attempt with a 119 rating, in losses to Iowa and Oregon. The year before, he threw one touchdown and five picks in a loss to Nebraska, his only other Power 5 opponent. Against conference rulers Boise State and San Diego State, he had one decent game against each, but also one rough game against each. His best starts ever were against Utah State (another team in the MWC that isn’t exactly Boise State) and FCS UC Davis. In Passing S&P+, Bill Connelly’s advanced stat that adjusts for opponent strength, Wyoming’s 2017 passing game ranked 119th, second-worst in the MWC.
  16. Lol, and there we have it. Somehow it's OK for one guy to completely suck the same way another guy does, but we pretend he will get better because of his draft status? LMAO! That is exactly the hypocrisy I'm talking about. Draft status is merely an indicator of potential, its not a guarantee of anything. First rounders bust all the time. Go ask Losman, Manuel, or any other first round failure. The bottom line is 4 games, 10 quarters, and a little over 1 season is not enough to evaluate anything. If you believe it is, when Allen completely ***** the bed over the next 10 quarters of football, I'll be sure to return here talking about how he should be cut, and thrown out of the NFL.
  17. Troy Aikman Drafted: No. 1 overall by the Dallas Cowboysin 1989. First start: Loss (28-0) to the Saints in Week 1 of 1989; 17 of 35 (48.6 percent) for 180 yards, zero touchdowns, two interceptions, two sacks and a passer rating of 40.2. John Elway Drafted: No. 1 overall by the Baltimore Coltsin 1983 (traded to Denver Broncos). First start: Win (14-10) over the Steelers in Week 1 of 1983; 1 of 8 (12.5 percent) for 14 yards, zero touchdowns, one interception, four sacks and a passer rating of 0. Alex Smith Drafted: No. 1 overall by the San Francisco 49ers in 2005. First start: Loss (28-3) to the Colts in Week 5 of 2005; 9 of 23 (39.1 percent) for 74 yards, zero touchdowns, four interceptions, five sacks and a passer rating of 8.5. Fran Tarkenton Drafted: No. 29 overall (third round) by the Minnesota Vikings in 1961. First start: Loss (21-7) to the Cowboys in Week 2 of 1961; 8 of 24 (33.3 percent) for 117 yards, zero touchdowns, two interceptions, three sacks and a passer rating of 15.5. Now in now way am I saying Peterman is on the level of anyone on this list, but the list proves a point. Young Qbs usually always SUCK, even the ones that turn out great and end up in the hall of fame. What bothers me is vicious people are over a dude who plays on our team, who's young an inexperienced as hell, yet after 10 quarters of football you experts have decided he doesn't belong. The hypocrisy is ridiculous. Allen will fail. He will fail because this team is in full on rebuild mode whether anyone at OBD admits it or not. There is no talent on the Oline, no real talent at the We positions, and nothing that even resembles a legitimate receiving TE. On top of it we are on the second OC in two years, and the one we have now is a reject. Peterman has definitely made mistakes, but to cast away and demoralize a guy after 1 year and 10 quarters of NFL football, with one of the shittiest supporting casts in the league, and facing the most elite Ds in the NFL ON THE ROAD in his very short time in there, is in one word....retarded. It's he the next Joe Montana? The second coming of Drew Brees? Most likely not, but that doesn't mean he won't improve and end up as a solid number 2, or a career journeyman starter.
  18. Lol, I find it absolutely AMUSING that a kid who was a rookie last year, has played one game this year, and has started a total of 3 GAMES is said to have "had his shot," doesn't belong in the NFL, and needs to be cut. Some of you people are delusional. I'll be sure to post on here after Allen fails, eats multiple sacks, throws multiple picks, and loses the next couple games. He has 3 starts and a total of 10 quarters in the NFL to prove he belongs here.
  19. To keep things in perspective, Petermans 4 games in the NFL have been played against the best defenses in the league, (Ravens, Chargers, Jaguars) the other was in Blizzard, (Colts) with the latest in a monsoon. People need to give the kid some slack. The only reason Allen is the starter this week is because if it's going to look as bad as it was last week, it might as well be chalked up to learning experience for your rookie franchise Qb.
  20. http://www.nfl.com/draft/2017/profiles/nathan-peterman?id=2558191 Strengths Smooth, quick set-up in pocket. Grips the ball with big, 10-inch hands. Poised in pocket and takes the hit to deliver a completion. Will set-up, slide and then re-set before making his throw. Can cut it loose from off-balance angles from bootleg or play-action if he sees a winning option break open early. Full field reader. Works all the way through his progressions. Shoots glances at safeties to keep them in check. Strong natural accuracy. Able to throw receivers open and lead them away from danger. Can pinpoint passes to moving targets in his intermediate work. Has enough arm to work field side, intermediate throws. Great vision. Sees passing windows before they develop. Throws with outstanding timing and anticipation. Can put the ball on receivers' hands as soon as they come out of a break if coverage dictates it. Utilizes accuracy and anticipation to challenge windows on all three levels. Won at Clemson hanging five touchdown passes on their talented stop unit. Good escapability and can extend drives with his legs. Excellent deep ball accuracy completing 46.2 percent of his deep throws. Weaknesses Inconsistent delivery base causes some throws to sail. Has instances where he short strides and is forced to muscle it to his target. Will float some throws on seams and dig routes. Will have to be mindful to drive the ball on pro level to avoid the ballhawks who are lurking at safety. Has to prove he has enough arm to challenge the same tight windows he did in college. Ball handling a little sluggish in wide receiver screens, hitches and most RPOs (run, pass option). Wants to play hero-ball at times. Needs to learn when to air-mail throw and move to next play rather than trying to get too cute with sideline throws. Can improve overall touch. Draft Projection Round 3-4 Sources Tell Us "I like him. He made me a believer when I watched him against Clemson. I do want to see him throw live and get a feel for how the ball comes out. I never saw him in person and you can't get a feel for that stuff on tape." - NFC Director of Personnel NFL Comparison Kirk Cousins Bottom Line Peterman's experience in a pro-style passing attack gives him a head start headed into the league. His physical attributes are just average, but his accuracy, composure and anticipation are what sets him apart from some of the more physically gifted quarterbacks in this year's draft. Peterman's tape is sure to catch the eye of at least a few teams in need of a quarterback and he should come off the board by day two with a chance to become a solid starting quarterback in the future.
  21. We should have drafted Rosen. It's the only decision, aside from not trading McCoy, that I didn't agree with coming from the Bills brass.
  22. Apparently hall of fame Qb Kurt Warner felt differently. I will take Warners diagnosis and analysis over anything Daboll says or does. The offensive scheme was weak, predictable and ineffective.
