Yea I don't think he is going to run in the 4.2s but he is legitimately fast. He is more a build up speed guy so I don't think the 40 necessarily will showcase how fast he is. But he is going to run plenty fast enough to be legit size / speed prospect.

    I'm super high on him.

You can see his speed on the field pretty clearly. He's legit fast. Pulls away from db's at nearly every opportunity to.

  2. Comparing the throw to the end zone Gabe option rt throw vs Philly is a little off IMO. On the 2nd and 9 play vs. KC, the read is very clear, and Josh and Shakir are seeing it the same way as Shakir starts his movement to the post (it was not as clear on the Gabe play in Philly). Its pitch and catch, easy peasy, and not a challenging throw (for Josh) if Josh doesn't get bumped. It's also where the overall play design wants the ball to go based on the defensive look and execution. You could argue about if the read numbering is high to low or low to high if you want, sure... and you could argue that a longer developing route will allow for a slightly higher chance of pocket contact, but also why would you when the Chiefs played the way they did and had like 3 pressures all game... I am 100% good with the decision, just wish the bump didn't happen.

What fans and coaches expect from Josh is just absolutely insane. He’s supposed to kill an entire quarter of clock and instantly throw a TD when McD snaps his fingers, and every week.

Its only fans... the coaches expected him to take the shot that he did if it was open, which it was.

Guys in host of other sports have missed 365 + days for a single concussion. The league has zero players with roster sizes 2x-3x.

Take your kid to Dent neuro or the Cleveland clinic the day after their 5th concussion and see if they clear them to play sports 6 days later.

    They won’t do it.

something to consider. You don't have to have an actual diagnosed concussion to be placed into "the protocol".

  5. This is an exercise in reading comprehension. Keep it simple, people.

The NFL pays PFF for RAW DATA. NOT grades.

PFF grades are indeed flawed, as evidenced by many many player season performances over the years being completely out of whack in both directions. This happens especially with linemen on both sides of the ball, and for defenders who implement a lot of zone coverage. PFF simply doesn't know the assignment responsibilities, or the checks and adjustments that occur. With all this said, its no big deal because the NFL isn't using these grades for anything. They are ONLY using the raw data. The grades are certainly not going to come close to that of the accuracy of a coach on the player's team.

Now, its quite plain to see with just some basic experience watching the game of football (for one, watching other games in the league), that a player such as Ed Oliver in 2023 is either elite, or fringe elite at worst at his position. If one is going to sit there and try to justify his low PFF grades compared to his peers, then that someone simply has no hope of perceiving the game with any sort of accuracy. It is what it is.

  6. On a team with a good offense that more often will be punting closer to midfield, a punter that can get you Inside the 20/ inside the 10 numbers is what you want, not avg or net avg even. With that said, that's where Martin has been really killing it for the last 5 weeks. Haack? We shall see, but best option out there, especially due to the familiarity and proven holding consistency.

If Miami was Buffalo's opponent, for damn sure they would have found a way to get the game in as scheduled.

The heard the chatter about Pittsburgh possibly being successful against them with their running game in the snow.

Wow that’s incredible how deeply we are in their heads that they think the Bills, of all teams, are getting preferential treatment!

Well the 1pm game time screws me as I have to work so I have to put up my tickets. Hopefully it’s a bills fan that buys them but those Pitt fans travel well.

There are ways for you to ensure that. Ways right here in this message board

  9. Its accurate to point out that a MLB in this defense should get some good #'s and opportunities, to Edmunds discredit, but I think its also a discredit to Bernard's ascension to think that his current list of impressive #'s would be fully "expected" in this defense. He has surpassed those expectations with such a full stat sheet, and I was one of those that were 100% down on him until he got on the field in meaningful games this season! His arrival may have saved the season more than any player other than maybe R Douglas, with what happened with Milano.

As someone who recently and repeatedly stated that I'm ready to see the Bills move on from Sean McDermott, it seems only fair for me to say this:

The team has very clearly not quit on Sean McDermott. They are not in any way acting or playing like a team who doesn't like their head coach or who want a change. If anything, the Dunne article seems to have united the team and provided an "us against the world" rallying cry.

Furthermore, yesterday's game was a "Sean McDermott's perfect ideal of what football should look like" game if ever I saw one. Masterful defense, the offense imposing their well, and physicality across the board. Very, very impressive.

The thing that stood out to me on TV is that you could SEE how hard the Bills were playing. The defense was absolutely flying around, hitting hard, popping pads, and playing MEAN and with swagger. The offense was physical and relentless. The whole team LOOKED like it was playing playoff football, whereas the Cowboys absolutely did not.

For the defense to play as well as it did, missing as many key players as it is, against such a great offense, was MASSIVELY impressive. For the offense to impose its will and dominate physically the way it did, just running the ball over and over and over, was also massively impressive, both from a physical standpoint and from a "Joe Brady is just gonna keep doing the simple and obvious thing until you stop it" tactical standpoint.

Yesterday was the most thorough, impressive, across-the-board win I've seen from the Bills in quite some time. Great jobs from both offensive and defensive coaching. Great jobs from both lines of scrimmage. Great jobs by the players in executing. Just a no-doubt-about-it 60 minute ass whoopin.

What else can I say? Give Brady his flowers. Give McDermott his flowers. Give Cook and the o-line their flowers. Masterful, impressive, awesome win. GO BILLS!!!

Nice post and good observations. Agreed with much of it. We saw very hard hitting Bills team (especially in the trenches on both sides) out there.

As we were walking back to our car after the game, we had the post game show streaming on my phone and the first thing we heard from the host "Bulldog" was that it was not a particularly out of the ordinary game from a physical sense... I think the post-game show needs a new host. Just wow! Sucks that we are forced to listen to that if we want to hear the post-game press conferences right away.
