  1. Been there, done that when it comes to that rhetoric. Yeah, all federal employees are lazy blah blah blah...
  2. Two RBs that early? That's ridiculous! We all know they're going to draft 4 kickers.
  3. Joe will say it first.
  4. Travis says Phillie's run for $1500 now? Damn! Good thing I don't partake.
  5. Agreed. There's also some really good Star Wars books out there too. The books by Timothy Zahn ("Dark Force Rising" series) are exceptional. I also think Allan Dean Foster's "Splinter of the Mind's Eye" is a good read.
  6. That would be the key word, in terms of Ware lasting until the 55th pick in the draft: imagine. I highly doubt he'll be there for us. Like I said, teams like Houston and Dallas will be interested in him and he could be gone by the middle of round one.
  7. And by "blow", he means...
  8. I have no job. I panhandle for change daily.
  9. I'm reading the book now, and it's interesting to see how Palpatine really screws w/ everyone's heads. Man, did he do a number on people, good (Anakin, Obi Wan, Mace Windu) and bad (Dooku).
  10. Nice to hear from you again, Lori. I'm dying to know your thoughts of PSU's recruiting class.
  11. You can always teach, Chris. There's no age limit there, which is one reason why I don't worry about NOT having my degree/teaching certificate now, at age 36.
  12. I wonder how long it will be before Sharapova AND the Olsen Twins register here to find a mate.
  13. I'll be at home by myself watching the coverage on TV. I'd go up to RICH to attend the draft party, but the Bills decided not to have one this year, most likely due to the lack of a first round pick.
  14. I love Ware's ability to rush the passer! I do feel he's a better fit for the teams that run a 3-4 defense, which has become all the rage now due to the Pats' success with it. In the 3 round mock we did a while ago, I took him w/ Pittsburgh's first round pick. As it looks right now, there's no way he'll last long enough for the Steelers to take him. I hear the Cowboys have become quite interested in him. Then again, the closer to the draft you get, the less reliable the info from the team becomes.
  15. How sad. May God rest his soul.
  16. Seeing that we only had 6 people (including myself) sign up, I have decided to cancel the 7 round mock for this year. Thanks to those of you who did sign up. See you next year.
  17. Damn, I wish I were a football fan, then I'd know these things.
  18. I agree that it is overrated. I am of the opinion that most people watch MNF for what it once was, not for what it currently is. It's become tradition to them and regardless of the current state of the program, they'll continue to watch it out of loyalty to an iconic TV show. Me, I just can't stand to watch it now. I won't say I'd never watch it (if the Bills were on, I'd watch, of course), but it isn't a must watch show for me anymore.
  19. Happy birthday!
  20. Even if they were alive in the 1970s, it (the rivalry) would still mean more to us than to them. Like Kelly said earlier, the Jets are a big rival to them. Now, on OUR side, there's no more heated rival than Miami, but maybe that's not the case on their end.
  21. I have to seed my backyard because there's a few places that are just dead from the shade from the huge tree out back (which needs to be trimmed badly). I'll probably be doing that next weekend, as my in-laws are coming up tomorrow.
  22. Do you care about the game's quality? I love football as much as the next person, but I won't watch some crappy game just because it is football.
  23. Yeah. The beauty and pagentry of that 9-6 game (all FGs) a few years back is reason enough to keep watching MNF. I can never get enough of watching Dallas vs Arizona, or Dallas vs Green Bay, or Dallas vs the NY Giants, or Dallas vs Philadelphia, or Dallas vs... MNF was a part of my childhood and was required watching, but that was before it became a caricature of what it once was, with their Hank Williams song, boring a** matchups featuring major media market teams, graphics that always end up with something exploding, and, worst of all, the hiring of John Madden.
  24. Not close enough.
  25. Mmmm.............wings and beef on weck!
