  1. Case closed.
  2. The game of life, huh?
  3. Well @ least you got flimsy plastic, Harvey. Mine had the address label attached to it by a rubber band, w/ the commemorative pins inserted in the book, which got a bit dog eared by the shipping. Still, last year, I got the guide (flimsy plastic, aka shrink wrapped), but no pins. They're making progress.
  4. Ohio State should be in the mix this year, as far as the national title is concerned. I do think Texas has a good chance as well, but I think they could lose the game to Ohio State and, until I see otherwise, I can't see them winning the RRS. They have to 'show and prove' in that game, something they haven't done in a long time.
  5. I'm not one of the cool kids, so I just call it the Big 11. I don't see the logic in calling an 11 team league the Big 10. If that's the case, who's the 'little team'?
  6. Iowa is rated high because they have a lot of returning talent, particularly on derfense. They have the best 1-2 LB combo perhaps in the nation and their secondary is also very talented and experienced (shout out to CB Jovon Johnson, who is from my home town of Erie Pa, as was Bob Sanders before him). Ferentz is probably the best coach in college football, so Iowa will be a firece competitor this year for sure.
  7. Yes, the draft is this Sunday @ 7pm. The last person has just paid up and will set up his team so that I can now get our draft situated.
  8. Wow! Thanks for all the support. It helped, trust me. The surgery went just fine. It took no more than an hour, and then they had to observe me for a while to see if I was okay. I left the hospital around 11:45am or so on Wednesday. I haven't heard from the pathologist about the results of the biopsy yet. I'm sure they'll either call me w/ the details or call my doctor and he'll notify me. I was pretty out of if for most of the last couple days. Psycho Ward 86 was taking good care of me and making sure I took my medication. Unfortunately, she had to go to work today, so I'm all by my lonesome today...except for Damien and Jake (cat and dog). Damien keeps trying to jump (yes, I said jump) onto his Daddy's lap, so I have to keep the bedroom door closed while I sleep.
  9. ...what he said. I am just as vocal as anyone when it comes to criticizing Madden as an announcer, but to say he doesn't have the credentials as a coach to belong in the Hall of Fame is false.
  10. Yeah. SD actually wasn't a bad wrestler. The guy he should've mentioned was Rudy Diamond, who looked like he weighed about 190lbs in the ring. He used to get slaughtered by whoever wrestled him.
  11. They are doing a muscle biopsy on me tomorrow morning around 6am. I was told that I'd be done by noon, and that I'm not supposed to go to work for a week afterward. I'm taking the rest of this week off after today, so w/ the weekend, it gives me a good 5 days of rest. I hope it goes smoothly and that they don't accidentally cut off an arm or a leg.
  12. My wife and I went to Universal/Islands of Adventure while on our honeymoon. I loved it. Islands of Adventure has some really nice rides and attractions. I loved the Spider-Man 3D ride, the Dr. Doom's Fear Fall, the Hulk coaster, and the Dueling Dragons. I also liked the different areas of the park, like the one area that had old cartoon characters like Betty Boop and Popeye plus the Dr. Seuss area, complete w/ psychadelic colors from the ground up. Universal is cool and, like someone else mentioned, does have more of an adult feel to it. You can go to Emeril's and catch him doing his show (if you're lucky and he's there) or you can walk around and see all the characters out on the street. They had a Sherman Klump (from the Nutty Professor remake w/ Eddie Murphy) out there that wasn't that far off of the Eddie Murphy character. Overall, I really like Universal/Islands of Adventure and would gladly recommend it to anyone.
  13. Received; reply sent.
  14. We're still looking for some players. I think we need just 2 more.
  15. You're right. Darren Bennett was the punter for the Chargers a few years ago. Sorry.
  16. If you could use Paypal, I'd prefer that. If you aren't able to use it, send me a PM. You'll be taking over the Punt Catchers. Here's their info: Keepers: Peyton Manning Jamal Lewis Drew Bennett Position in draft: 3rd I'll PM you the rules for the league.
  17. I'll be there for that one.
  18. If memory serves me, they were w/out Emmitt Smith for their first two games (both losses). He came back to lead them to the Super Bowl title and win the MVP in the process.
  19. Right you are. Good thing our coaches are held in the highest esteem, especially around here. I never see any of their moves questioned, and why would I? Good thing we turned down Ozzie Newsome's player-for-player trade for Chris McAllister then. Hey, I think Nate is w/out a doubt one of the top CBs in football right now. Do I believe he's the best? No. Even though I'm a diehard Bills fan, I still recognize McAllister and Bailey as the cream of the crop. Nate could very well edge these guys out in the next year or so, which is why I feel it is important to work out a deal to try to keep him here. It would suck if his best years were spent in another team's uniform.
  20. Nate is a very talented corner. Is he a shutdown corner? I'd say he could be, but he does have lapses from time to time. That said, I'd put him among the top CBs out there, though I still say Champ Bailey and Chris McAllister are the top corners in the business. Clements isn't that far behind them in ability though.

  22. I'm not sure yet if I'll need someone else. I'll let you know in a day or two.
  23. I offered mine for $10 each, but there were no takers. I guess they'll just go to waste, since it's so close to the game that I probably couldn't even ship 'em to someone.
  24. Be careful Risin, or they'll unleash their fury on you as well.
