  1. Good. Hopefully, I'll catch up w/ you guys then.
  2. ESPN's only good points are Stephen A. Smith and Stuart Scott.
  3. I've always heard it was more about real estate than it was about fan support. Getting prime real estate in California, especially to construct a stadium, has always been the biggest hurdle for the NFL, and is the reason teams have such a hard time staying there.
  4. Posluszny is a very good player. He'd look nice in a Bills uni. Then again, so would Florida State's Buster Davis, who I really like @ LB. That said, I still hope we'll look to upgrade our interior lines first and foremost.
  5. Sure would, after we upgrade our interior lines.
  6. What be these turnovers of which you speak?
  7. The first thing that comes to mind is Eric Steinbach, a guard in Cincinnati who would be a great addition to our line, whether @ guard or tackle, where some insiders feel he could also be effective. Either way, it would cost a pretty penny to bring him to Buffalo, but if the cap room is there, I would make every effort to offer him a deal enticing enough to bring him aboard.
  8. And let's not forget their best WR, Terry Glenn. Then again, we do have Roscoe Parrish...
  9. Awwwwwww! It was so cute. Trust me William, if we are blessed before next season w/ a child, I won't care about missing any trips. I'll still have my seasons, because I like my seats and the people around me, but I'll just sell all of them.
  10. Hey, I'm just enjoying it while I can, especially since the boss says that if she does get pregnant soon, there will be NO trips for me next year. Small price to pay for what I want more than anything, I'd say.
  11. I may have overheard something about that from him, once or twice before.
  12. You make some valid points there. However, I believe Roethlisberger's struggles have a lot more to do w/ what he's gone through since the offseason than I do the running game. First of all, Parker is having a good season for them, so in general, the running game isn't the key factor to their losses. It does hurt them near the goal line or in short yardage situations, but they still have a capable running game overall. Secondly, it's gotta be tough to have a near fatal accident, an appendectomy, and then a concussion w/in a year's time and NOT be affected by it. Concussions are not something to be taken lightly, like a sprain or bruise. It's a brain injury w/ lasting effects. Don't believe me? Check out how guys like Al Toon and Merrill Hoge continue to suffer to this day due to concussions they had in their careers.
  13. Are you going to start/contribute to a thread w/out a reference to either Henry or the offensive line, William?
  14. This is the key point: will they? I'm hopeful, but I won't bank on it. Now, if I see them make aggressive moves in the offseason to upgrade the interior OL and interior DL, then I'd be a LOT more optimistic. Until then, I'll continue to support them (another few hundred bucks to be spent this weekend on another trip up to RICH), but I won't take for granted that anything will change.
  15. Levi Brown is the starting LT for Penn State.
  16. I'd also like to send a special thanks to the Jets for helping me to escape the hectic duties of determining which team to select on a weekly basis in the Survivor pool. I will use the spare time wisely.
  17. How true, though certainly not by me. As the Deacon of Rev. Bill from NYC's "church of the OL whiners", I've done my fair share of preaching. Sure it would. It would show how Jauron can imitate Mularkey in regard to QB development. Again, harken back to the "church of the OL whiners". But, let us not forget our bretheren on the other side of the ball, for we also could use a much stronger pass rush. Let us pray...
  18. Still my favorite McKay quote: (in response to a reporter's question about his team's performance in a just finished game) "Well, we didn't block very well, but we made up for it by not tackling very well, either."
  19. The offensive line has been offensive for quite some time. Please, let's do something to correct this. It's bad when the best performance on the line comes from a rookie thrown in due to injury (Merz). Ugh! Defensive line? Needs work as well. Anyone else dread to hear the words, "third down"? I think it means "stay on the field for a few more plays, fellas", doesn't it? Losman's not THE problem, but, like my friend William (Bill from NYC) mentioned, he's also regressing due to his environment. Just a suggestion: since the organization thought highly enough of JP to trade up back into round 1 for him, how 'bout stocking the line w/ VERY GOOD talent? I will keep the faith on this issue. Wow, did Moorman have a crappy game. Since we were struggling (again) offensively, we could've used better field position in that game. All in all, a very weak effort from our guys. Very sad, especially since it required another long trip home after another excruciating loss. On top of that, I've picked up a cold (I'm sure due to the lovely weather on Sunday) and I feel terrible. Good thing I don't have to go back to work until Wednesday.... Oops! Gotta go; g'night.
  20. Yeah, like I know something. It was great to catch up w/ you and your crew, plus KTFABD on Saturday. I had a good time drinking (iced tea) and shooting the breeze w/ fellow Bills fans. We must do that again some time. Are you enjoying the music?
  21. Well, @ least you'll have that day. Hey mead, congrats. See you (or your son, or whoever is using the other ticket) this weekend.
  22. 1. Rockpile 2. Dan Gross 3. dave_b 4. JÂy RÛßeÒ 5. R. Rich 6. 7. <burp> I'll be leaving here in about 21 hours and be on my way up for a plate. Or two.
  23. Happy birthday udonkey, you tailgate snob, you. Enjoy.
  24. Nope. I happen to like Charles Barkley for his penchant for being outspoken. The guy is honest about things, including himself. He'll tear into himself w/ a comment just as he would anyone else. I like how he said he'd handle having a teammate like Terrell Owens.
