  1. Even in that game, I thought Harrison and Marcus Pollard, above all else, spent more time whining to officials than working to get open. If you're not getting the calls, deal w/ it. Trust me, they're not the only team to get the short end of the stick when it comes to the officials.
  2. Can't fault the Chad Johnson pick. The guy has great hands, runs solid routes, and has breakaway ability. Brady? He's one of the top QBs in the game, so that's not too bad. Bush over Tomlinson (he's not LT; that guy is retired)? Nah. Until Bush learns to run inside as well as he can outside, he's nowhere near the every-down threat that Tomlinson is. Of course, I'd probably take @ least 2 OL and probably a couple defensive players before I'd even consider which skill player to take.
  3. I'd take Brady, throwing behind Arizon'a line, handing off to Houston's running backs, and throwing to the NY Giants' receivers (and Jacksonville's tight ends). As long as you have Brady, you can get to the Super Bowl w/ this group.
  4. I may possibly be interested in that bus trip. Then again, those women you travel w/ can get quite rowdy.
  5. No, tenny; it's their responsibility to look like what the average person wishes they looked like. It's in their contracts.
  6. It takes more than a couple sturdy runners to win the NFL championship. A good defense, a solid offensive line, good coaching, and those pesky "intangibles" (like having the resolve to overcome a defecit, keeping composure by limiting the amount of stupid penalties and turnovers, and not getting too complacent when your team is ahead) also go a long way towards winning a title. Having more than one guy is great, but if that's all it took, Atlanta would've won a couple Super Bowls by now.
  7. It's up to the owner to put in place the organization that can get it done. Remember how crappy the Patriots were before Kraft? Like you, I'm hopeful that Jauron and Levy will get it done for the Bills.
  8. Good luck w/ that. Considering his (lack of) size and the ferocious style he plays, which I happen to like very much, it will be very tough for him to have a lengthy career. Not impossible, but tough.
  9. "The list.....is the life."
  10. Agreed. Just look @ the number of championships the Falcons have racked up w/ their RB by committee approach. Easy.
  11. Since the Colts didn't play the Patriots in every postseason game during Harrison's career, that's a load of crap. Harrison just doesn't show up in the big games. People bring up the fact that he's double covered a lot so others get more opportunities, but I can think of a receiver who had tremendous success in a Super Bowl while being the only true receiving threat (Terrell Owens, who I despise, but you give credit where it's due). I'll bet if you looked @ the postseason stats of the top 15 WRs, very few of them have as significant a dropoff in production from regular season to postseason as Harrison does. Here's something I prepared a while ago (before this year's playoffs), for your reading pleasure. I did this to answer all the "Peyton Manning chokes in the big game/It's all Peyton's fault" critics:
  12. Great news for Thurman. Hearing the NFL Network guys (and gal) open their "show" w/ a 15 minute diatribe on why Irvin should be in sucked though. You know what, people? There's a guy who ended his career as the all time leader in catches, and he managed to do so while not coked up. Then again, he "didn't have any memorable catches", so Art Monk waits once more.
  13. Didn't you have an 06 Town Car for the last trip, William? Or, are your Nills trips different than the trips you guys make up each year for the Bills games?
  14. Thanks for the info. I'll make sure to check 'em out.

  16. It could've been worse: it could've been show and tell.
  17. Wow. You were about 3 when I graduated, then.
  18. As a McDowell graduate, I can honestly say I could care less. If the guy wants to smoke pot, let him.
  19. I guess, if you're into the "E.T. as a supermodel" look.
  20. That he is. Maybe Bob Sanders will get to join him (and Mark Stepnoski) as Erieites w/ Super Bowl championship rings.
  21. To each his (or her) own, they say.
  22. I can't get her tickets to see her most favorite singer, since he's dead. Maybe a seance would be cheaper. Hmm...
  23. I plan on attending the games in Philly and Pittsburgh, but I may also see if I can make the Cleveland game too. I've never been to the new stadium, but I did attend a few games @ the dive they used to play in.
  24. It was a tough matchup for the South. Their DEs were a bit smallish, and the best the South had to offer decided not to show up.
