We also saw it when we played them in NE*** the second time we faced them last season. They couldn’t force a punt in that game, either. Because we’ve absolutely dominated their defense in each game since Brady left. It’s a shame we had those gale force winds in Buffalo last season, otherwise McD would have been the first HC to beat Belichick three consecutive times. I disagree with the bold text. McDaniel was a defensive assistant in NE*** for Brady’s first four years during which time he had been to a Pro Bowl and had firmly entrenched himself as their starter. McDaniels didn’t become QB coach until 2004. If anyone was responsible for Brady’s early development, it was Charlie Weiss.

The only thing that changed was Beasley’s adherence to the same COVID protocols established in 2020. While every other non vaccinated player adhered to those protocols on a daily basis for as long as those protocols were in place last season, Beasley’s refusal to wear a mask and respect social distancing guidelines within the building during that period became a major distraction and disruption. If anything about the team changed, it was their tolerance for Beasley’s refusal to follow the same rules he agreed to follow previously.
